What it is
Fast CE For Less is an online continuing education provider for nurses who need contact hours to renew a state license. Its About page says the courses are written by "nurses with a combined 80 years of experience in bedside nursing in various specialties, correctional nursing, administration, curriculum development, and teaching in colleges and universities." The catalog covers, in the company's words, "current learning content on disease processes, patient care services, state laws, and more," and the courses "are streamlined and can be completed at your own pace."
The pitch is speed and price. A single All Access Pass opens every course for a year, no course ends in a test, and the certificate appears as soon as the learner completes a short evaluation. For a nurse who mainly wants to meet renewal requirements without spending a weekend on it, that is the whole point of the product.
How a course works
The course page sets out three steps: select and review a course, complete the course evaluation, and earn the certificate. The FAQ is explicit that "a test is not required. All of our courses will allow you to receive a certificate of course completion by simply filling out a short evaluation form." It adds a caveat that matters: "Some State boards do require a test for certain courses. Make sure you know your state requirements."
Each paid registration includes Fast Facts, which the site describes as "a condensed review of the course content highlights," along with optional pretests and posttests. Course content can be previewed before buying. The FAQ answers "Yes, you can view the course content but not the Fast Facts," and the free courses page says "you can preview every course and their individual course material on our courses page." Paying opens the Fast Facts, the tests, the evaluation and the certificate.
The catalog
The home page course selector runs from clinical reviews to state-mandated topics. Clinical titles include ABG Interpretation (3 contact hours), Caring for the Patient with Heart Failure (5), Respiratory Failure and Mechanical Ventilation: A Quick Overview (6), Seizure Types: A Quick Review (8) and Burns: Resuscitation in the First 24 Hours (5). Longer professional courses include Ethics in Nursing at 10 contact hours. Mental health and safety topics include Recognizing Suicidal Behavior, Implicit Bias and How to Reduce It, Identifying the Human Trafficking Victim, Preventing Nurse Burnout and Active Shooter at Work: How to Prepare.
Several courses target a specific state's rules: Florida Nurses Laws and Rules, Domestic Violence-Florida, Domestic Violence-Kentucky, the Ohio Nurse Practice Act (Category A), Pennsylvania Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training for Mandated Reporters, Forensic Evidence Collection for Nurses in Texas, and the 2025 NYSED Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment/Neglect. The About page highlights a Sexual Harassment module built on the Fair Employment and Housing Act and Title VII of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, and an HIV Prevention course covering antiretroviral medications and CDC recommendations for pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis.
State bundles
A state selector sits at the top of most pages, covering US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada. Picking a state shows its bundle, and the FAQ explains that "the courses in each state's course bundle are preselected to meet the state's license renewal requirements." Pass holders can swap courses in a bundle or add others, with "no additional fees when changing courses or adding new courses." The site is also clear about responsibility: "All subscribers are responsible for knowing their state nursing license renewal requirements."
Pricing
The All Access Pass costs $29.99, shown against a struck-through $59, and the home page says "with your $29.99 purchase, you will have access to unlimited courses for 12 months." Nurses who need only an hour or two can instead buy individual courses at "$5 Per Contact Hour," and a banner offers a 5% discount with the code Fast5.
The renewal terms read differently in different places. The home page calls the pass an "Annual subscription with automatic renewal for uninterrupted access," and the FAQ confirms: "Yes your membership will automatically renew after 12 months. We prioritize sending our customers renewal notifications before billing. Cancel anytime." The pass boxes on the nursing courses and free courses pages, by contrast, still say "Onetime Fee" and "No Automatic Renewal." A buyer should read the checkout terms with that in mind.
Refunds are ruled out once a course is open: "Once you have full access to a program or class, you may not cancel or seek a refund."
Free courses
The free courses page offers nursing CEUs at no charge. Its current example is Improving Interprofessional Communication and Collaboration, a one-contact-hour course listed at $5 and reduced to $0 with the coupon code FREENURSECEU at checkout. The FAQ there says a free course stays available for one year, that "free courses, just like our paid courses, allow you to receive a certificate of completion," and that "more free courses will be added periodically."
Certificates and records
Certificates "can be printed, emailed, or downloaded immediately," and each is kept in the learner's dashboard under My Certificates. Because the certificate carries the nurse's name, license number and licensing state, the site stresses entering those exactly as they appear on the license. Access to the account depends on the membership: once it expires, the FAQ says, "you will not have access to your account or certificate," though "you may contact us for a copy of your certificate."
Approvals and CE Broker
The FAQ lists the provider's approvals: the Nevada State Board of Nursing #NV000839, "recognized by all States and Territories," CE Broker #50-30438 for a named list of states, the California Board of Registered Nursing #17693, and the New York State Education Department for Child Abuse and Maltreatment #80955 and Infection Control #IC 207. Completed hours are submitted to CE Broker automatically for Arkansas, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Carolina and West Virginia. The home page adds that the company is "Proudly Rated 4.7 Stars on CE Broker."
Support runs by email and phone, with both listed in the FAQ.
Who it suits
Fast CE For Less suits US nurses who want to clear renewal hours quickly and cheaply: a nurse in a CE Broker state who wants hours reported without manual entry, a nurse with a state-specific mandate such as Florida laws and rules or New York child abuse reporting, or anyone who wants to preview a course before paying. The flat pass makes sense for someone needing many hours in a year, while the per-hour option and free courses cover a nurse who needs only one or two.
It is a self-paced reading-and-evaluation format, so nurses who want live teaching or graded assessments will find little of either here, and anyone whose board requires a test for a given course has to check that course first. Read the renewal terms closely before paying, since the site describes the pass both as a one-time fee and as an auto-renewing subscription, and purchases are not refundable once a course is open.
