WebCE is an online continuing education and pre-licensing provider for licensed professionals. It is a product for the learner who has to keep a license current or pass a state exam, and increasingly for the employer who has to train staff on safety and compliance. The company's own line is that "With world-class customer support and education to serve multiple professions, we're here to help professionals reach their career goals." Its site is organized by profession: Insurance, Real Estate, Securities, Tax & Accounting, Certifications, Funeral, Workplace Training and Casino each have their own section.
That breadth is the point of the product. An insurance agent working through pre-licensing, a real estate broker renewing a license, a financial planner who needs ethics credit and a business that needs active shooter training for its staff all sign in to the same platform, with courses written for their own field.
What you get
Real estate CE. WebCE's blog sums up its real estate offer as "flexible, mobile-friendly real estate CE backed by fast reporting, quick certificate delivery, and a curriculum designed for busy professionals." The same article lists the key features as "Multi-state approved courses, fast regulatory reporting, mobile-friendly and self-paced learning, read-it-to-me audio for on-the-go CE, scenario-based content, and a strong focus on compliance and career development." For an agent, the practical meaning is courses that can be finished on a phone, an audio option that reads the lesson aloud, and completions reported to the regulator quickly. The article invites readers to "Explore WebCE's full list of real estate courses" to find "state-approved CE that fits your schedule."
Insurance pre-licensing and exam prep. This is where the study tools are described in most detail, and where WebCE also fits as a test prep product. The pre-licensing library includes "Life & Health, Property & Casualty, and Personal Lines courses." Around the courses sit several tools with their own names:
- WiseBot AI, which gives students "real-time answers through Chat Tutor".
- An Exam Readiness Score "that analyzes course activity to assess preparation".
- Study Guide Workbooks and My Study Planner, which together "create a personalized, self-directed study plan".
- Exam Tutor, which "bolsters performance with unlimited state exam simulations and custom practice tests".
- EXCEED reinforcements, described as "short microlearning videos boost retention with practical, real-world applications that remain relevant well into students' careers."
Taken together, a student moves from the course to a planner, practices on simulated state exams as often as needed, and watches the readiness score before booking the real test.
Certifications and financial professionals. The Certifications section covers "CE requirements, and renewal guidance for CFP, CFE, CIMA, and other credentialed professionals." WebCE announced a course for CFP professionals, "Ethics CE: A Practical Application of CFP Board's Code and Standards," which it says "is now available through WebCE's online platform." The blog also follows regulation that matters to advisers: its SECURE 2.0 article walks through the later starting age for required minimum distributions, the reduced penalty for missed distributions, catch-up contribution changes and the new 529-to-Roth rollover. It closes by saying WebCE "is committed to staying on top of changes affecting the industry to ensure that you have the information you need to better understand your business and assist your clients."
Workplace training. For employers, WebCE's Workplace Training section promises "Expert guidance on cybersecurity, harassment prevention, AML, and business best practices for a safer workplace." The company has added safety courses on human trafficking awareness and active shooter response; of the second it says "Our new Active Shooter training course equips employees with practical strategies to react fast, stay calm, and even save lives." A companion guide covers "three major safety risks" in modern workplaces: human trafficking, active threats and workplace violence. On the cybersecurity side, the blog's material includes wire fraud red flags, protecting clients and the practice from cyberattacks, and the traits of a "human firewall."
For organizations
Two items on the company news page matter to a business buying training for staff. WebCE says "Setting up SSO for WebCE just got easier with our inclusion in the Azure and OKTA app marketplaces," and it publishes a quick-start guide for corporate single sign-on. Its VP of Technology, Scott McKelvey, has written about how WebCE keeps customer data secure through encryption and by limiting the information it collects. For a compliance team that means staff can sign in with their existing company identity rather than a separate password.
Partnerships and recognition
In February 2026 WebCE announced a partnership with Invest to become "the non-profit's preferred national provider of insurance pre-licensing education in high schools and community colleges." Invest is described as "a 501(c)(3) educational trust administered by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America." Under the agreement, "Invest students will now have access to WebCE's complete pre-licensing library." Tabitha Richardson, WebCE's Director of Product and Market Development for Financial Services, said that giving students "the same caliber of education used by top insurance professionals ensures that the industry's next generation is ready for the complexities of the market."
The company news page lists several awards. WebCE says "We won the 2026 Gold Stevie® Award for Contact Center of the Year, our first gold and fifth overall Stevie!", after a 2025 Silver Stevie in the same category. It has been named a 2026 Best Place to Work in Texas by Best Companies Group, "marking the sixth time the continuing education leader has earned the recognition," and the news page also carries the headline "Newsweek Names WebCE a 2025 Top Online Learning Provider." The contact center award is the most useful of these to a learner, since it speaks to the support side of the product rather than the office.
Pricing
The blog pages give no prices for WebCE's own courses. Its real estate guide gives an industry range across providers rather than WebCE's figures, so a buyer has to price the specific state package on the course catalog.
Who it suits
WebCE suits licensed professionals who want self-paced online CE they can complete on a phone, and above all those working in insurance, where the pre-licensing tools are the richest part of the product. A first-time insurance candidate gets a planner, workbooks, unlimited simulated state exams and an AI chat tutor in one place. A real estate agent gets multi-state approved courses with read-aloud audio and fast reporting. A CFP professional can take ethics CE on the CFP Board's Code and Standards. A business that needs human trafficking, active shooter or cybersecurity training for its staff can buy it from the same company and connect it to Azure or Okta sign-in.
It is less of a fit for someone whose field is not on the list: the catalog is built around regulated professions and workplace compliance, and a learner looking for general skills courses will not find them here. Professionals in a niche specialty may also want deeper material than a multi-profession provider offers in that one area, so it is worth reading the course outline for the exact credential before buying.
