PESI
Tap a star to rate
PESI is a continuing education company for licensed clinicians: counselors, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, nurses and rehab therapists who need CE hours for license renewal or want specialist training. It is a learner product, a large catalog of courses, live events and books sold one item at a time. The site describes its offer as "high-quality, accredited continuing education for behavioral and mental health professionals", and its home page heads the catalog "1,000+ Mental Health Continuing Education Courses". The company's address in the site's structured data is in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and its counselor page speaks of "decades of experience in continuing education for counselors".
Who it is for
The site is split into three areas, Behavioral Health, HealthCare and Rehab, and lets a learner shop by profession: counselor, nurse, nurse practitioner, occupational therapist, physical therapist, psychologist, social worker and speech-language pathologist. The counselor page says its board-approved CE programs are tailored to counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, addiction counselors, nurses, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech-language pathologists.
Topic menus show the range. Behavioral health covers ACT, ADHD, autism, CBT, clinical supervision, couples therapy, CPT, DBT, EMDR, ERP, ethics, grief, IFS, motivational interviewing, play therapy, polyvagal therapy, postpartum, sex therapy, somatic therapy, and trauma and PTSD. Rehab topics include chronic pain, dyslexia, executive function, fall prevention, primitive reflexes, stroke rehab and vision, and healthcare topics include cardiac care, critical care, diabetes, home health and hospice, pharmacology and wound care. Counselors get a longer list still, from abandonment trauma and anger management to schema therapy, sport psychology and suicide and self-harm, plus separate paths for addiction counselors and mental health counselors.
Formats
PESI sells the same subject in several formats. Live options are in-person seminars, live video webinars, live webcasts, summits and conferences, and retreats, cruises and tours. On-demand options are online courses and digital seminars, and the educational products shelf adds books, flip charts, DVDs, tools and games, and bundles. Many listings carry an "Additional Formats" line, so a grief certification course, for example, is sold as an in-person seminar, a live webcast and a digital seminar.
The home page lists upcoming live webinars by date and presenter, such as Trauma-Informed Supervision with Melinda Paige on Oct 2, 2026. Its events section includes the 2026 Innovations in Psychotherapy trauma conference, in person on Nov 10, 2026 at $949.99 against $1,299.99, and the 2026 Couples Therapy Conference by live webcast or in person at $249.99 against $499.99. The retreats are the premium end: a 5-day trauma treatment certification retreat with Arielle Schwartz at $3,299.00, an 8-day Costa Rican IFS therapy retreat at $4,500.00, a 6-night Caribbean grief treatment certification cruise at $2,850.00, and a women's health certification retreat for advanced practice providers near Sedona, Arizona at $2,899.00.
Online courses and certifications
The online courses are where most clinicians will start, and many are certification trainings taught by named experts. The Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Intensive Training Course is taught by Robert Rhoton and J. Eric Gentry; the Complex Trauma Certification Training Level 1 & 2 (CCTP/CCTP-II) course is led by Janina Fisher with Bessel A. van der Kolk. Others include the Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC) training with Ramani Durvasula, the Integrative Sex and Couples Certification Training with Tammy Nelson (CSTIP), the ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) course, the Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) training, the Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) certification, which teaches CBT, EMDR, somatic and art techniques, and the Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) course. Method courses sit beside them: an ACT intensive with Steven C. Hayes, a Cognitive Processing Therapy mastery course with its co-developer Kathleen M. Chard, an EFIT Level 1 certificate course with Susan Johnson, and an IFS competency course the page describes as over 23 hours of training.
The counselor page says the certification courses are offered in partnership with Evergreen Certifications and are "designed to go beyond general CE", helping counselors "build specialized expertise, strengthen credibility, and expand the services you offer clients."
Prices
Prices are in US dollars and shown on every listing, usually as three figures: a "Value" marked with an asterisk, a list price in parentheses, and the current price. The Somatic Therapy for Complex Trauma Certification Training, for instance, shows a value of $2,049.93, a list price of $599.99 and a price of $281.99. Many featured certification courses sell at $141.00, the CCTP intensive at $187.99, the NATC training at $375.99 and the Janina Fisher CCTP/CCTP-II course at $999.99, while a Boundaries Specialist Certificate Course is $94.00. The site runs a "Top CE Deals" section and a coupons page, and the Psychotherapy Networker digital magazine is offered at $12 a year.
CE credit
Each listing links to "More CE Information", the search lets a learner filter by credit type, speaker, language and closed captioning, and an Ethics Credits section collects courses for ethics requirements. The catalog listings do not print credit-hour totals. The counselor page advises checking the state board's counselor CE requirements before choosing courses and links to more provider information.
Free training and resources
PESI runs free live training events, which the counselor page presents as a way to experience its training before committing to a full course. Examples include a personality disorders webinar with Daniel J. Fox, listed at $0.00 against a value of $249.99, and a free live event on Dan Siegel's Mindsight in practice. Free clinical resources include worksheets, blogs, assessment and prevention tools, and demonstration videos, organized by topics such as children and adolescents, trauma, family therapy, grief and bereavement, and cultural, social and racial issues.
For organizations, and other services
Menus for Train Your Organization and Group Sales cover buying for a team, and the search offers Coordinator and Military registration types. The footer promotes a PESI app ("CE WHEREVER WHENEVER"), lists a returns and refund policy, and gives email and a toll-free phone line for support. Partner brands named on the site are Evergreen Certifications, Mindsight Institute, PESI Publishing, Psychotherapy Networker and Therapist.com, where clinicians can list a practice.
Who it suits
PESI suits a licensed clinician who wants CE from recognized trainers in a specific method or population, and who likes choosing between an on-demand course, a live webinar and an in-person event on the same subject. Trauma, IFS, EMDR, grief, ADHD and couples work are especially deep. The heavily discounted certification courses suit a therapist adding a specialty on a modest budget, and the retreats suit one who wants CE combined with travel. Rehab therapists and nurses will find their own topic lists, though the catalog leans toward mental health.
