What CE Zoom is
CE Zoom is a continuing education platform for dentistry. It combines a course catalog, a tracker that keeps a professional's CE records in one account, and tools for the offices, companies and bodies that run or oversee that education. The home page tagline, "The Solution for All Your CE Needs," is followed by six verbs that map onto its services: "Organize. Host. Learn. Track. Manage. Renew & More." The site's description says CE Zoom "will track, store, and remind you of your continuing education requirements," and that it can "Generate continuing education certificates instantly and store them."
The services menu splits the offer by audience: Professionals, Presenters, Employees, Company / CE Providers, Enterprise, Regulating Bodies, Advertising / Sponsorships and Provider Approval. In effect it serves two kinds of customer. A dentist or hygienist uses it as a learner and a record keeper. A practice, a dental group, a company that teaches CE or a regulating body uses it to host courses, issue certificates and keep track of the people it is responsible for. The course catalog is titled "Dental Continuing Education Courses," and course pages carry an AGD subject code, which places the whole platform in dentistry.
For dental professionals
For an individual, CE Zoom starts as a tracker. The pricing page invites professionals to "Start tracking for free!" and then to "Upgrade for smarter compliance tracking and unlimited CE courses built to help you meet your renewal requirements." The tracker stores the certificates CE Zoom generates and reminds the user of the requirements still open before a renewal, so the record is ready when a license comes up for renewal.
The course side sits in the same account. The catalog description promises "live and self-study dental continuing education (CE) courses to satisfy your renewal requirements," and the home page says CE Zoom "offers hundreds of courses inside the platform." The course search filters by Elite courses, live courses, self-study and on-demand courses, conferences and bundles, so a learner can narrow the list to what a subscription already covers or to a format that fits the week.
A course page gives what a professional needs to judge a course before registering: the offering company, the presenters, the educational type and method (a live virtual webinar, for example), the date and time, the CE credit hours, the tuition, the maximum attendance, prerequisites, the sponsor, a conflict-of-interest disclosure, the course topic and the AGD subject code. The course page also names a course coordinator, with help@cezoom.com as the contact address.
The course catalog
The courses shown on the home page and on a course page give a sense of the range. "Who Owns Your AI Conversations? What Happens When I Click Send? Privacy, Compliance, and Generative AI," offered by CE Zoom Partners, is a single live virtual course worth 2.00 credit hours under the topic Dental Practice Management / Organization / Operations, with tuition starting at $30.00. "Master The Art Of Minimally Invasive Pediatric Dentistry," presented by Alexandra Otto, is a live virtual webinar with 2.00 credit hours, $30.00 tuition and AGD subject code 430 for pediatric dentistry. Two conference sessions carry $0.00 tuition: "Conquering Dry Mouth," on dry mouth amid polypharmacy, aging and systemic conditions, and "Down and Out or Down and About? Raising Awareness of Mental Health Issues in Dentistry," filed under the mental health of the dental practitioner, from awareness to coping and burnout. Each of these lists its maximum attendance as unlimited.
The catalog is not only CE Zoom's own. Its course listings include sessions from other companies that publish through the platform: Matta Health Group's "Your Brand is Your Promise," Clear Blue Smiles' "Crossbites: Crossed Up or Crossed Out" and PDT, Inc.'s "Crashing the Biofilm Party: Understanding the Path to Safe Dental Unit Waterlines," each an online course worth 1.00 credit hours, the last two free.
Paid courses show tuition "Starting at" a price followed by "(Free with Elite Plan)," so a subscriber on that plan takes them without paying per course. The home page also points learners to "YTP courses that are included in our introductory $25 per month service."
For practices and enterprise
The Enterprise & Offices page promises to "Take Control of Compliance Across Every Level of Your Organization!" and lists 12 features: renewal requirements, employee contact info, finding and assigning needed courses, managing multiple licenses, certification tracking, license status, transcripts and portfolios, tracking mandated requirements, managing and connecting employees, enrolled course statistics, and two credentialing and document compliance managers, one for the office and one for each team member.
Put together, an office manager can see each employee's license status and open requirements, assign the courses someone still needs, follow who has enrolled, and keep credentialing documents for the office and for each person in one system. Staff who hold more than one license are covered by the multiple-license feature, and transcripts and portfolios give each person's record in one view.
The customer story on the home page comes from this side of the product. Josalyn Sewell, COO of Carolinas Dentist, says the organization "had a huge gap and huge hole because we could not offer any CE," and that CE Zoom helped automate the process. It now lets them "give CE certificates for the meetings that we have" and "track our providers." With nearly 50 providers to keep in compliance with their state, she says, CE Zoom took a large weight off the team.
For CE providers, presenters and sponsors
Companies that teach dental CE can host their courses on CE Zoom, and the Provider Approval page adds a route to credit: "AGD-PACE Joint-Providership," under which a company can "Partner with CE Zoom to provide AGD PACE-recognized CE." The page walks a prospective joint provider through 11 topics: what qualifies as continuing dental education, using CE to teach a product or service, what type of events are eligible, why become a joint provider, whether an activity can be about a specific product or service, policies and procedures, a checklist for success, when a product or service can be shared, submission timelines, what to know before recording or finalizing a course, and what is involved.
Three of those 11 topics deal with products and services inside a CE activity, which matters to a company that sells to dental offices and wants its education to count for credit. Presenters, advertisers and sponsors have their own entries in the services menu, and each course page carries a sponsor field and a COI disclosure, so a learner sees who is behind a course before signing up.
Plans and prices
The pricing page divides plans into Professional Account Plans and Company Account Plans. For professionals, tracking starts free and an upgrade adds the smarter tracking and unlimited CE courses quoted above. Course pages name an Elite Plan, and the home page refers to an introductory service at $25 per month. Courses are also sold one at a time, at the tuition shown on each course page, and several are free. The pricing page prints no amounts for the Elite Plan or the company plans.
Who it suits
CE Zoom suits dental professionals who want their CE records, certificates and renewal requirements in one account, with a catalog alongside to fill the gaps; the free tracking tier makes it easy to start. It suits dental offices and groups that manage licenses and credentialing for a team, which is the case its customer story describes. And it suits companies that teach dental CE and want hosting, certificate generation and an AGD-PACE joint-provider route in one place.
The caveats are scope and price visibility. The catalog, the subject codes and the provider program are all dental, so other health professions will find little here. And because the subscription and company plan amounts are not printed on the site, a practice comparing costs will need a quote before committing.
