What it is
Alteredu is an Italian online training company that sells certified courses to individual workers, school staff and employers. Its home page calls it the largest platform of certified online courses in Italy ("la più grande piattaforma di corsi online certificati in Italia") and says it started as an innovative startup in 2017 and became a Società Benefit, a benefit company, in 2022. The company trades as Alteredu SRL and lists offices in Terranova da Sibari, Lamezia Terme and Rome. The site and the courses are in Italian.
The pitch is practical: certified skills that give Italians a faster route into work or a step up in their career. The home page counts the results so far as more than 30,000 Italians certified and sent into the job market, and more than 500 schools, companies, nonprofit associations and other organizations certified through its mandatory safety courses, "formazione 4.0" (Industry 4.0 training) and soft skills courses. It offers "oltre 200 corsi online certificati" (over 200 certified online courses), and says every course in the catalog leads to a certificate that is usable for work ("spendibile nel mondo del lavoro").
The catalog
The course menu shows how wide the offer runs. There are online courses in workplace safety, HACCP food hygiene, IT, languages, privacy and GDPR, ISO standards and artificial intelligence (listed as "IA"), a digital literacy certification, professional courses, and combined packages for schools. A second menu sorts courses by role: ATA school staff (Personale ATA), teachers (Docenti, GPS 2026), data processing managers, safety supervisors (Preposto), RSPP safety managers, RLS safety representatives, students and general workers.
For school staff and teachers, the site sells courses that earn points in Italian school rankings. The home page closes with the promise of a certificate that will boost a CV, "farti guadagnare più punti in graduatoria" (earn you more points in the rankings) or land the job the learner wants. The most popular paid courses on the home page are an OSA course "valido per punteggio ATA" (valid for ATA ranking points), an 8-hour HACCP course for high-risk Category A food work, the RSPP/ASPP Module B course by videoconference, and an online typing course labeled "Riconosciuto MIM" (recognized by MIM).
Workplace safety is the deepest part of the catalog. Related courses on the RSPP page include training for safety supervisors (Preposto), general safety training for workers, safety for staff in professional offices, refresher training for OSS and healthcare staff, safety for lifeguards and pool assistants, and refresher safety training for food sector workers. Each lists its certification as "Attestato di sicurezza sul lavoro D.Lgs. 81/08", the workplace safety certificate under Italy's Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Free courses
The home page invites learners to start with free courses, saying they can train at no cost and still receive a certificate recognized by law. The most popular free ones are an HACCP course for food industry managers, the RSPP/ASPP Module A course, a safety course for low-risk office work, and a course for data processing staff under the GDPR. These are free courses inside a paid catalog rather than a free plan.
A closer look at RSPP/ASPP Module B
The Module B course page shows how Alteredu runs its live courses. It is a videoconference course of 48 hours in 12 modules, held in a group, and the FAQ says it is "interattivo" (interactive), taught by qualified instructors, and ends with a final exam. Enrollment closes on the 15th of each month and the group starts in the last ten days of the month; if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the start moves to the following month. The page offered October, November and December 2026 groups.
The modules run from risk assessment and accident analysis through production processes, workplaces, fire risk and emergencies, machinery and electrical risk, ergonomic and psychosocial risks (including work-related stress, mobbing and burnout), physical, chemical and biological agents, asbestos, confined spaces and waste, to risks linked to drugs and alcohol. Learners need at least an upper secondary diploma and must have completed Module A or be exempt from it.
On completion the certificate is sent by email within 3 to 5 working days. The page says it is valid under Legislative Decree 81/2008 and the 2025 State-Regions Agreement, is validated by joint bodies (Organismi Paritetici) registered under DM 171/2022, and is valid across Italy, with one exception: the course is not valid in the Sicily region. The FAQ gives the Module B certificate a validity of 5 years, after which a refresher course is required. The course carries a MEPA code (ALTEREDU 122) and can be bought through corporate welfare schemes ("Welfare Aziendale"). Learners rated it 5.00 out of 5 across 20 ratings.
Prices
Alteredu prints its prices, VAT included, next to a crossed-out higher figure, and runs a "Promo Ripartenza" with "sconti fino al 30%" (discounts of up to 30%) plus a September restart campaign. The home page shows the OSA course at €557 instead of €857, the 8-hour HACCP course at €20 instead of €57, RSPP/ASPP Module B at €237 instead of €840, and the MIM-recognized typing course at €37 instead of €97. On the Module B page itself the price is shown as €237 against €357, and the FAQ says the base price is €840 and can vary by specialization and sector, with several promotions during the year.
The related safety courses follow the same pattern: Preposto at €87 instead of €197, general worker safety at €20 instead of €45, OSS and healthcare staff refresher at €37 instead of €57, and the professional offices, lifeguard and food sector courses at €27 instead of €57. A free consultation can be booked before buying.
For companies and trainers
The menu has a section of courses for companies and a separate area for trainers (Piattaforma Formatori). The 500-plus organizations in the home page figures, and the corporate welfare purchase option, show that employers buy the mandatory safety training here as well as individuals. The footer describes Alteredu as an ISO-certified organization ("Ente Certificato ISO").
Support is by phone, WhatsApp and email, with office hours Monday to Friday, 9 to 13 and 15 to 18.
Who it suits
Alteredu suits workers and employers in Italy who need the mandatory safety certificates under Legislative Decree 81/2008, such as RSPP, ASPP, Preposto, general worker training and HACCP, at low prices and mostly online. It also suits school staff and teachers who want certified courses that add points in the ATA and GPS rankings, and anyone after a digital literacy, typing or language certificate for a CV. The free courses let a newcomer try the platform and still leave with a certificate.
It suits less well anyone outside Italy, since the catalog is built around Italian law, Italian school rankings and Italian-language teaching. Learners in Sicily should note that the Module B course is not valid in that region, and anyone booking a live group course should allow for a start that moves back a month if the group does not fill.
