Tap a star to rate

InfoAware is an eLearning company that helps organizations train staff for compliance and workplace skills in three ways: a library of ready-made courses that can be rebranded and rewritten, bespoke courses built from scratch, and its own hosted learning management system, the InfoAware Compliance Suite. It serves the HR, L&D or compliance team putting employees, volunteers or partners through mandatory and development training, and its home page sets out to make learning and compliance simple. The site lists sectors from charities, construction and energy to financial services, healthcare, insurance, legal, local government, maritime and shipping, pharmaceutical, retail, security, transport and small business. The copyright line names Sphere International Ltd.

The off-the-shelf library

InfoAware describes its off-the-shelf courses as "ready-made e-learning modules that cover essential topics such as skills development training, compliance, health and safety, diversity and inclusion, data protection, and more." The library is sorted into data protection and information security, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, human resources, and legal and finance, and the resources menu links to a full course catalog. The FAQ lists the range in more detail:

  • digital skills and information security: artificial intelligence, GDPR, phishing and cyber security
  • diversity and inclusion: unconscious bias, microaggressions, LGBTQIA+ awareness, menopause and inclusive leadership
  • communication and customer service skills
  • compliance and regulation: health and safety, fire safety, manual handling and COSHH
  • legal and finance: anti-bribery, market abuse regulation, whistleblowing and modern slavery
  • leadership, workplace culture and HR: dynamic working, stress management, leadership development and sales training
  • ESG: environmental compliance, sustainability awareness and carbon reporting

Course titles on the page include Market Abuse Regulation, Sustainability Awareness and Carbon Reporting (SECR), Introduction to Neurodiversity, Bullying and Harassment, Fire Marshal, the Building Safety Act, Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Responsibly at Work, Sexual Harassment, Environmental Awareness, Performance Management, Resolving Conflict, Coping With Change and How to Have Difficult Conversations. According to the FAQ, subject matter experts regularly review and update the specialist content to reflect current legislation, best practice and industry standards, including GDPR, health and safety and financial regulation.

Customizing a ready-made course

Customization is the feature InfoAware leans on most. The courses page says off-the-shelf content is fully customizable, whether to add content, align it with an organization's policies and procedures, or rebuild it in the organization's branding. It then lists what a customer can change: content, branding, terminology, visuals and images, voiceover and closed captions, animated content and video, audio stories and podcasts, case studies and scenarios, translations, assessments and knowledge checks, and games and simulations. A course can be launched immediately as it is, and if a customer customizes it, the FAQ says the team makes the updates quickly.

A case study shows how this works: The Crown Estate customized InfoAware's off-the-shelf courses into a series matching its branding, policies and procedures. Its knowledge manager, Martin Brazier, says "It's a real advantage to be able to take their Off-the-Shelf courses and customise it with real life examples specific to our staff and include jargon and terms they are used to seeing."

Bespoke courses

For specialist or role-specific skills, InfoAware builds courses from the ground up. The FAQ says these go beyond traditional courses, "using interactive simulations, video-based learning, branching scenarios, microlearning," along with animation, quizzes and advanced assessment design. The services menu also lists AI-powered video scenarios and bespoke animation, plus a learning consultancy service. The home page describes bespoke work as close collaboration to produce training that "aligns with your branding, cultural and training approach."

Client quotes describe the bespoke side. Andrew McGeown, director of training at Digilog, says the team used animations and graphics to explain complex ideas and added interactive case studies, and that "We've since worked together to develop more modules in line with developments in customer requirements." Edwina Daniels of Samaritans says the charity chose InfoAware partly for its understanding of "how to design truly accessible Articulate Storyline courses," and that the result left "a very happy group of screen reader users."

The learner experience

Courses use scenarios, quizzes, microlearning and multimedia, and work on desktop, tablet or smartphone with a fully responsive design. The courses page describes them as "WCAG-accessible & inclusive" and designed to meet accessibility standards, and the charity FAQ says the platform and courses support different learning needs and styles. For global teams, InfoAware offers fully localized versions and multi-language options. Through the LMS, organizations can monitor progress, measure knowledge and issue completion certificates.

The InfoAware LMS

The InfoAware Compliance Suite is "a secure cloud based hosted solution for training, policy management and staff assessment," built on Moodle. The feature list covers quick setup and course rollout, a branded and customizable company dashboard, task and achievement lists for every user, automated reminders and notifications, a manager dashboard for oversight and compliance, real-time tracking and monitoring, and comprehensive, audit-ready reporting.

Organizations that already have an LMS do not need this one. The courses page says content can be launched instantly or hosted through the customer's own LMS using SCORM or xAPI, and the FAQ says completion rates, assessment scores and skills progress can be tracked there. Bloomsbury Publishing's global head of technology, Andrew O'Neil, describes the hosted option from the customer's side: "we now have one location that all staff can go to complete the training, plus we can easily report on uptake and completion of assessments."

Charities and nonprofits

InfoAware has a dedicated offer for charities. The sector page describes training for staff and volunteers covering onboarding, compliance and professional development, with courses such as How to Have Difficult Conversations, Customer Service, Display Screen Equipment (DSE) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The LMS for this sector gives managers role-based visibility of their team's progress, identifies skills gaps, produces real-time compliance reports, encourages self-enrollment with notifications and manager nudges, and offers customizable review forms for one-to-ones and performance check-ins. The page adds that InfoAware brings experienced implementation and dedicated customer success teams and ongoing technical support.

Pricing and contact

The site does not publish prices. Visitors book a demo, and the home page closes with "Book your demo and we'll be happy to show you." Several clients comment on cost: Samaritans mentions "reasonable and competitive pricing," and Bloomsbury Publishing calls the price "competitive."

Who it suits

InfoAware fits an organization that wants compliance and workplace courses to look and sound like its own: a charity training volunteers, a professional services firm with its own policies, a public body or a regulated business that needs market abuse, anti-bribery or GDPR training rewritten in its own terms. Teams without an LMS get a hosted Moodle system with audit-ready reporting, while those with one can load the courses through SCORM or xAPI. Organizations with accessibility needs, such as screen reader users, have a client example to point to.

Because so much of the value lies in tailoring, buyers who simply want a large catalog to switch on without changes may find the process more involved than they need, and anyone budgeting will need a demo and a quote first.
