High Speed Training is a UK online training company that sells short accredited courses in workplace compliance and professional development, both to individuals and to employers training whole teams. The company, High Speed Training Limited, gives an address in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, and is registered in England and Wales. Its home page describes "over 180 online courses" that are "fully accredited, trusted by more than 4 million learners and ideal for training you and your team," and says it is trusted by 50,000+ organizations. The course areas are food hygiene, health and safety, safeguarding, HACCP, education, asbestos awareness, fire safety, mental health, first aid, health and social care, and business essentials. Each course is bought individually, taken online at any hour, and finished with a certificate the same day.
The course catalog
The home page features the courses most employers start with, each with its price and approving bodies shown:

A banner on the site ties the harassment training to the Employment Rights Act 2025, warning that employers' legal duty changes from 30th October, which shows how the catalog follows changes in UK law.
The education section is the deepest single area. For over a decade, the company says, it has delivered online CPD courses to teachers, teaching assistants and education professionals across the UK. The section lists 16 popular courses, including Paediatric First Aid at £26, Safer Recruitment in Education at £31, Medication Training for Schools and Early Years at £30, "Challenging Behaviour Training" at £31, Prevent Duty Training at £20, Child Mental Health Training at £26, Autism Awareness in Education at £30, Safeguarding for Governors at £31, ADHD Awareness at £30, Supporting Speech and Language Development in Early Years at £30, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in the Classroom at £20, Coaching and Mentoring at £30, Online Safety and Harms at £25 and Leadership and Management at £65, all plus VAT. Allergy & Anaphylaxis Training for Schools, approved by Natasha's Foundation, is listed at £0 +VAT.
Accreditation and what a certificate means
Accreditation is the company's main selling point, and the wording matters. The home page says all courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service, and that specific courses are approved by recognized authorities such as RoSPA, IATP, IIRSM, the Institute of Hospitality, British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and Natasha's Foundation. It also claims to be "the first online training provider to receive prestigious City & Guilds assurance on a range of our courses," and says accreditation from sector voices such as Mesothelioma UK and the Owen's Law Campaign takes its courses beyond what legislation requires. The badges differ by course: the food hygiene courses carry EHO, CPD, IoH, RoSPA and City & Guilds marks, the asbestos course adds IATP, BOHS and Mesothelioma UK, and Leadership and Management carries CPD and ILM.
On CPD, the education FAQ says every course can contribute to a learner's professional development hours for the year, with the amount depending on the course, and points to each course page for approximate durations. It adds that the education courses "could support you towards" the Chartered College of Teaching's Chartered Teacher Pathway award or its Certificate in Education Research and Inquiry. On inspections it is careful: "Ofsted does not approve any specific training," but the courses have been used by over 5,000 organizations rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.
Every course includes a printed certificate posted the next working day after completion and a digital copy available to download immediately. The support menu includes a certificate verification service, so an employer or inspector can check a certificate is genuine.
How learning works
Courses are online and self-paced, available 24/7, and the site advertises a money back guarantee and a page on cancellations and refunds. A "Why choose us?" section says courses are developed by experts to keep them up to date and meaningful, and that "All of our online courses are independently checked and accredited by CPD," with approval bodies such as RoSPA brought in where appropriate.
A case study from the University of Exeter puts the learner experience in a customer's words. Emma McArdle, a project manager in its technical services team, says "The flexibility, ease of use and the fact that learners can complete training at their own pace, in their own time are all really beneficial."
Training teams
For employers the company offers what it calls a "powerful learner management system (LMS)" that streamlines allocating and tracking a team's learning, with real-time reporting and a dedicated onboarding team. The LMS lets everyone learn at their own pace, wherever and whenever suits them, which helps with shift workers and staff spread across sites. Bulk buyers get discounts "starting from 10% for 10 courses," and the sales team handles larger orders for a team, a department or a whole company.
Schools get extra material. The award-winning Safeguarding INSET Pack for 2026/27 is a ready-to-use package for running a staff training session, with fully editable content that a school can personalize and a range of interactive elements. The company's resource hub adds over 600 articles, quizzes and downloadable resources for education alone, such as a safeguarding policy template for schools.
The company
High Speed Training describes itself as a business run as a "Force for Good," focused on people, planet and community, and publishes a 2025 impact report. It says it is rated a 3 Star organization to work for in the 2025 Best Companies list, placing among the top 5 education and training companies.
Who it suits
High Speed Training fits a UK employer that needs proof of compliance training quickly and cheaply: a café or restaurant needing Level 2 food hygiene for its staff, a builder needing asbestos awareness and working at height, an office needing fire wardens and first aiders, or any employer preparing for the new harassment duties. Schools and early years settings are a particular strength, with safeguarding, SEND, first aid and medication courses, an INSET pack, and courses that count toward teachers' CPD hours. Individuals can buy a single course for themselves, and companies with larger teams can move onto the LMS with volume discounts.
The courses are written for UK law and UK approval bodies, so an organization training staff mainly in other countries will get less from the accreditations that are the company's main draw. And since the courses are short and certificate-led, they suit compliance and refresher training better than long programs of study.
