Ethena

Ethena is a compliance platform for enterprise legal, compliance and HR teams, built around a library of 200+ training courses and a set of AI agents that help run the rest of a compliance program. The home page describes it as "a platform of AI compliance agents" and says it is trusted by 2,000+ organizations for millions of employees. Training is the part that matters for this directory: Ethena writes its own courses, delivers them to employees, tracks completion and lets a company customize the content, while the same platform also covers an ethics hotline, case management, disclosures, policy review and phishing simulations. A company blog post says the business was founded by women who were fed up with workplace problems caused by ineffective compliance training, and the courses are written in that spirit.

The course library

The home page sums up the catalog as "200+ courses, infinite customization." The training menu shows how wide it runs. The main categories are code of conduct, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, harassment prevention, cybersecurity, data privacy and HIPAA, workplace health and safety, and market integrity, with further courses on AI in the workplace, corporate ethics, whistleblowing, government contracting, financial integrity, export controls and human resources.

Much of the library comes in versions by region, industry or role. Harassment prevention has editions for U.S. national use, Canada, and the states of California, New York, Illinois, Connecticut, Maine and Delaware, as well as global versions for Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific and workplace versions for manufacturing, retail, warehouses and healthcare. HIPAA training is split by role, for clinical staff, front desk, billing and revenue, IT and admins, and leadership. Health and safety covers OSHA, Canadian OHS, Ontario WHMIS, British Columbia, UK induction and ergonomics, Australia and NZ, and workplace violence prevention for several jurisdictions, with an active shooter course for manufacturing. Data privacy reaches EU and UK GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, ISO 27001 and 27701 and generative AI. Financial firms get advanced AML, trade-based money laundering, AML for boards, industry editions for money services businesses, fintech, insurance, investing, casinos and banks, and market integrity courses on antitrust, insider trading, cryptocurrency, Regulation FD, UK and EU market abuse and Singapore courses on fair dealing and good customer outcomes.

What learners experience

Ethena's pitch is training "your employees will actually finish". Courses are interactive and gamified, with puzzles, quizzes and real-world scenarios. A test-out option lets learners skip material they already know, and the home page says full accessibility support is built in from the start. A blog post adds that Ethena delivers bite-sized training over time instead of one long course at once, and sets its approach against the familiar experience in which "Employees open up the course, start the first video, and are greeted by a monotone presenter who reads a script word for word."

The company backs this with three figures on its home page: a 93% approval rating from 5M+ learners, a 60% average reduction in seat time, and 96% of customers renewing year after year.

Running training for a company

On the administration side, HRIS connections automatically enroll the right employees in the right training, and a blog post says a company can also start by uploading a CSV. Employees are reached through magic links, emails, Slack messages and push notifications, and Ethena monitors progress and sends reminders on its own. For tracking, the company describes department-by-department breakdowns, exportable compliance reports and a way to follow employee sentiment on training topics. The home page adds board-ready reporting: a single view of the whole compliance program, risk assessments built in minutes and benchmarks against peers.

Customization is a central selling point. Companies can add their logo, brand colors and policies to training, hotline and disclosure pages so that, in the home page's words, each touchpoint feels like it came from the company "not a compliance vendor." Custom courses can be built from a company's own material; a testimonial from Magic Leap says "Making a custom training used to take hours. Now, it's as easy as uploading a PDF, and everything comes to you fully formatted."

The AI agents

The Training Agent pulls risks from real disclosure and case data and uses a company's own policies to build training for the employees who need it, which Ethena contrasts with training scheduled by the calendar. The Policy Agent scans policies for gaps and overlap, drafts updates and routes them for approval. The Disclosures Agent reviews conflict of interest, gift and outside employment submissions and surfaces those that need a person's judgment. The Phishing Simulator runs automated phishing campaigns, and employees who click get targeted follow-up training that the Training Agent builds and assigns. The home page stresses that nothing ships without the compliance team's sign-off: agents draft, flag and suggest, and people approve.

AI translation covers training, disclosures and policies in 100+ languages, and the home page says training content is built to comply with local employment laws in the regions a customer operates.

Integrations, security and standards

The integrations list is short and specific: HRIS connections, SCORM export that the page says "drops into any LMS," SSO, SCIM and a full API. The home page states that Ethena is SOC 2 Type II certified. Because courses can be exported as SCORM, a company with an existing LMS can buy the content without moving its learners.

Expertise and customers

The site names an in-house general counsel and a compliance leader, a bench of outside compliance advisors whose listed backgrounds include Meta, Microsoft, Google and Salesforce, and Ethisphere as a content partner. Customer quotes come from TriMark USA, Klaviyo and Magic Leap. Klaviyo's senior director of legal compliance writes, "I needed to train 500 people on side agreements in two weeks," and credits Ethena with custom content and a quick turnaround. TriMark USA's chief compliance officer says "Ethena helped us embed clear standards directly into how we operate and grow."

Pricing and trying it

The home page shows no prices; buyers book a conversation through a "Let's Talk" button, and the footer links to a pricing page. A blog post offers a fully functioning sample course by email on request before a demo.

Who it suits

Ethena fits a mid-sized or large company whose compliance team runs training alongside a hotline, disclosures and policy management and wants all of it in one place. It is strongest for employers with staff in several U.S. states or several countries, where state harassment rules, regional editions and translation into 100+ languages save real work, and for regulated sectors such as financial services and healthcare that need AML, market integrity or role-based HIPAA training. Teams that want to keep their LMS can still use the courses through SCORM export.

For a small business that only needs one annual harassment course, the agent-based platform covers far more than it will use, and buyers will need to talk to sales to learn what it costs.
