EduCare is an online training provider focused on safeguarding and duty of care, selling ready-made e-learning courses and whole-organization packages to schools, colleges, charities, care providers, sports bodies and businesses. Its About page calls it "the UK's leading provider of essential duty of care and safeguarding training," and the home page now announces that "EduCare is now part of the Tes family," with the footer reading "EduCare - part of Tes Global Services." The company is registered in England and Wales and says it has over 30 years' experience in delivering essential training. Courses run on Tes Develop, the online learning platform learners log into, and the site says over 4 million people have learned to fulfill their duty of care with EduCare, with more than 2,000 courses completed every day.
What the library covers
The About page describes "hundreds of clear, concise courses covering a wide range of sectors," and the course library is organized by audience: general education, secondary education, colleges and universities, international schools, recruitment and training, children's residential care and alternative provision, and an essentials collection for staff and volunteers. Tes Develop collections for professional studies, subject knowledge, and safeguarding and duty of care sit alongside them.
Individual titles show the depth in safeguarding. The library lists Child Protection Refresher 2025 in UK and international versions, Stepping up to Designated Safeguarding Lead, Dealing with a Disclosure, Adolescent Safeguarding, Raising Awareness of Child-on-Child Abuse, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Female Genital Mutilation Awareness, Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity and The Prevent Duty. Early years staff get their own versions of safeguarding, Prevent and infection control courses. Beyond safeguarding there are SEND awareness courses on dyslexia, ADHD and autism, dyscalculia awareness, mental wellbeing in children and young people, staff wellbeing in schools, food hygiene and safety, safer recruitment, administration of medication in schools, and child protection in sport and active leisure. Some courses are written with outside partners: a course on child sexual exploitation in sport is presented in partnership with NWG, and a recent course on the role of the safeguarding lead was written with safeguarding expert Ann Marie Christian.
The company says it updates courses as soon as changes to regulations and statutory guidance are introduced, and some titles carry a note that they are updated for KCSIE.
School packages
For schools, EduCare sells packages rather than single courses. The UK schools package gives "unlimited whole school access to over 40 courses in safeguarding, compliance, health and safety, and wellbeing," which the home page says helps a school keep students safe, keep staff current with statutory guidance and evidence compliance to inspectors. The international schools package does the same with over 35 courses tailored to international schools. The education menu also lists Tes Safeguarding Training UK and Tes Safeguarding Training International, alongside safeguarding software. A news item describes that software, Safeguard my School, powered by EduKey, as a way for staff to report safeguarding concerns and for a school to provide evidence for inspections.
How a course works for the learner
The FAQ is detailed about the learner side. Each module provides one hour of CPD, so a one-module course takes up to one hour and a four-module course up to four, and a proficiency test counts as an additional hour; for more on CPD the FAQ points to The CPD Certification Service's website. Each module has a printable PDF saved as a resource, though the questions and answers cannot be saved or printed. Learners get 5 attempts to pass each questionnaire and can ask customer services for a resit after that. A certificate becomes available once all reading modules are complete and all questionnaires passed, and learners can also earn badges to share online, collected in a My Badges section. Content can be viewed as many times as the learner likes within the year, with the highest questionnaire score kept on the record.
Testimonials on the About page speak to the format. The Royal Ballet School says it can give remote staff "the same training as our in house staff without compromising on quality." Wrixon Care writes that "The courses are well written and use a variety of formats and exercises to vary the learning," and West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust calls the course "free of jargon."
Administration and reporting
Organizations work through one or two nominated Training Administrators, who, according to the FAQ, get more detailed reporting functions and decide which courses each learner should take. In the administration area they add and edit learners, grant administration rights and suspend accounts. Licenses renew every 12 months, and unless the customer asks otherwise, course data resets at the renewal date while completion history stays on each learner's record. The About page describes a reporting function that records learner progress and provides evidence to inspectors, and says the customer service team helps customers improve usage and create bespoke reports.
Bespoke courses
EduCare also builds custom e-learning. A customer can tailor an existing course, keeping the parts it wants, or hand over raw material for EduCare's team to turn into a course. The bespoke page says it has adapted presentation slides, leaflets, internal documents and external web pages into courses "that can be assessed, measured and included in management reports to show completion and engagement." Named clients for this work include the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years, ESTYN, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Boys Brigade.
Buying, pricing and support
Single courses are sold through an online shop, with a Buy For Me option for individuals. The FAQ says the full range can be bought there for up to 10 users; above that, customers contact the team for a tailored pricing package, and multi-user discounts are available. Shop prices are shown excluding VAT, for example £35.99 for Child Protection in Education, £34.99 for Safer Recruitment, £32.99 for Online Safety, £22.99 for Equality & Diversity and £13.49 for The Prevent Duty, and the shop lists 115 results in total. Several courses show a rating of 5.00 out of 5. Organizations wanting a wider range with a full reporting suite are pointed to the training packages, and a free trial can be arranged through the inquiry form.
Customer services answer by phone and email from 8.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday, and aim to respond within 24 hours. The site also links to a page on EduCare and the GDPR.
Track record
The About page counts 20,000 schools and colleges, 500 local authorities and councils and 800 charities among its customers, and names Eton College, YMCA, Macmillan Cancer Support, British Gas, Doha College, Kwik Fit and the University of Law Leeds among them. Its content partners include Kidscape, YoungMinds, COBIS and West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, part of what EduCare calls its Circles of Excellence, a group of experts who contribute to, review and endorse its training.
Who it suits
EduCare fits a school's designated safeguarding lead or business manager who needs every member of staff trained in child protection, Prevent and related duties, with records to show inspectors. UK and international schools get a whole-school package, while a childminder, sports coach or small charity can buy one course for one person. Larger charities, care providers and businesses get administrator reporting, and any organization with its own policies can commission a tailored version.
The limits are about focus. The library is built around duty of care, safeguarding and wellbeing, so a company looking for broad technical or management training will find a narrow range here. Larger buyers should also expect to talk to the team, since the shop covers only up to 10 users.
