What Tutor Platform is
Tutor Platform is a learning management and school management system for online tutoring schools, with its contact address in Berlin. Its page title calls it a "learning management system for tutoring schools", and the homepage describes an all-in-one solution "designed to take care of all teaching, learning and management processes". The footer sums up its scope as a platform that connects students, tutors and management in one place. The solutions menu names tutoring schools, professional course providers, private schools, teachers' marketplaces and organizations that want to monetize educational content. That makes it a training management system for the people running a school, with a full LMS for the tutors and students inside it, so an organization training learners through scheduled lessons and online material can run both sides in one product.
Three portals
The homepage organizes the product around three roles. Students use the student portal or the iOS and Android apps to reach learning materials and schedules, book and join classes, take tests and take part in school-wide events. Tutors get calendars, availability settings, messages and interactive books to "plan, build and conduct successful lessons". Managers use the manager portal to handle student admissions, tutor availability and school finances, and to gain business intelligence insights. The FAQ says students have their own profiles and that the school can customize what learners see.
Scheduling and bookings
Lesson scheduling runs through a visual interface that helps organize available time, rescheduled classes and cancellations. Tutors and managers set available times, and students book lessons with tutors or join asynchronous courses "with just a few clicks". On the marketplace page this is called the Tutor Timetable: the school adds teachers' available hours, events and availability notes, students see the open hours and book classes for different courses, and the timetable can be linked to Google calendars.
Content, assessments and learning
The learning side is built around Interactive Books, which tutors create or upload, make interactive, and use with students during classes or send as assignments. The homepage lists four tools: Blocks to build interactive exercises and quizzes, Review to assess homework and projects, SCORM to upload content from other LMSs, and a Library to store school PDFs and other resources. The marketplace page adds that content can include video and audio, multiple choice, essay and matching questions and PDF materials, and that schools can create interactive books, courses, quizzes and placement tests. Students get blended learning through the web version or the mobile app.
Schools manage the learning process by creating enrollment tests, learning groups, assignments and tests. The features menu also lists self-learning, content development and a virtual classroom, and the company's blog describes helping a school move from printed books and scattered PDFs into a single structured digital learning environment on Tutor Platform. In a review of 2025, the team writes that the biggest friction it saw was not teaching itself but managing content: most institutions already had good books, presentations, exercises and notes, and the challenge was giving them structure. That experience explains why the product puts so much weight on teacher-side content tools rather than only on the learner view.
Admissions and communication
Admission is a strong point. The homepage says students request to join the school and are sorted through a kanban-style board and filtered list view. Schools create forms to collect the admission data they need, run new applicants through a built-in sales pipeline, and import student data from their website or CRM through APIs.
Automated emails and push notifications cover payment top-ups, upcoming classes and cancellations. A built-in messaging tool sends messages to students, tutors and parents, with files, forwarding and threaded replies.
Teaching online
For live lessons, the marketplace page says Tutor Platform integrates "the most popular virtual classrooms and teaching tools", naming Zoom, LiveBoard, Lessonspace and Google Meet, and that a school can request a custom integration to keep using the tool it already has.
Payments and finance
Schools collect online payments for their courses through Stripe, Omise, PayPal or other payment systems, and the marketplace page says the company keeps adding payment systems to match customers in different parts of the world, inviting schools to ask for another. The FAQ says the finance features run from building interactive books "to school expenditure and teacher salaries", and the menu lists finance management tools.
Running a teachers' marketplace
The marketplace solution targets schools that grow by adding teachers. The page says schools can create content, build a website or develop their own, find new teachers and students and onboard them. Schools add teachers directly, or other teachers with a Tutor Platform account request to join. Analytics report on general marketplace performance, students' attendance rates and teachers' productivity. Extras listed on the page include a customized mobile app, the website builder, finance management tools, virtual teaching integrations and other integrations. Octoped Tutor is named as a school that used Tutor Platform to build an interactive, responsive website in a short period.
Website and marketing
Tutor Platform includes a website builder with educational templates. A school connects the site to Tutor Platform to sell courses, and the company offers marketing, SEO and content services for schools that want help with promotion.
Pricing and support
Neither the homepage nor the marketplace page prints prices; the menu links to a pricing page and the main call to action is booking a demo. The FAQ says the team will meet special requirements and that "Certain requirements will be covered based on your pricing plan." Among the reasons it gives for choosing the product, the homepage lists a "Designated success manager and EdTech consultant for each school" and "More features and automations added based on your needs, every month." Support pages and a knowledge base are linked in the footer, along with a phone number and email address for the Berlin office.
Who it suits
Tutor Platform fits online tutoring schools, language and course providers and teacher marketplaces that want bookings, admissions, interactive content, assessments, payments and a website in one system. The admissions pipeline and marketplace tools suit a school recruiting both students and teachers, and the payment options suit schools with students in several regions. Schools that already have content in another LMS can bring it in through SCORM. Because the platform is configured with a success manager and pricing comes through a demo, it suits a school ready for a guided setup more than a tutor looking for an instant self-serve signup.
