What ELB Learning offers here

ELB Learning is a US corporate training company whose site lists its headquarters in American Fork, Utah, and a second office in Chennai, India. It sells a suite of authoring and training products alongside custom course development, staffing and consulting. This entry covers its simulation product, CenarioVR, which the company describes as "The No-Code Tool for Immersive, Risk-Free Training". CenarioVR lets an L&D team, instructional designer or training agency build 360-degree interactive scenarios that learners take on a desktop, a phone or a VR headset. The headline promise on its page is 360-degree VR simulations with no headsets required.

The rest of the suite is context for a buyer. ELB Learning also sells Lectora for full interactive course authoring, The Training Arcade and its Game Builder with 12 game templates, Rehearsal for video practice and coaching, an AI toolkit and The Learning Creation Studio, an asset library the homepage counts in "Millions of Creative Assets", ReviewLink, the CourseMill and Rockstar learning platforms, and off-the-shelf courseware. CenarioVR fits into that suite: its courses can be viewed inside Lectora and other authoring apps.

How CenarioVR works

The CenarioVR page breaks building a course into four steps:

  • Generate or capture. "Let AI create your scene or upload any 360º video/photograph."
  • Create. "Add hotspots, animation, 3D objects, quizzes, and more."
  • Share. "Publish to the web, mobile, authoring apps, LMS, & headsets."
  • Track. "View live scores and a dashboard of xAPI analytics."

The feature list adds 3D objects, immersive audio, objects learners can drag, drop and spin, interactive objects and actions, conditional branching and xAPI tracking. Conditional branching is what turns a 360-degree tour into a simulation: what the learner does in one scene decides what they see next. The page calls it "The easiest VR course creator imaginable", and a self-guided product tour and a free trial are offered so a team can try the editor before talking to sales.

Example courses on the page show the range of subjects: cybersecurity, construction site safety, a stroke scenario, parts assembly, hotel safety, theft prevention, a historic dockyard, fire and rescue, mountain biking, a product showcase and two space-themed games. A free ebook on the page pitches VR and games as a way to "Rethink Procedural Training".

Publishing and devices

Publishing is where CenarioVR is most specific. The page says you can "Host and track files directly in the CenarioVR app or easily publish and download SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, & HTML files", and share them to the web, an LMS, an authoring app, a mobile device "or nearly any headset". Viewing options listed are web and mobile access, Lectora and other authoring apps, Android and iOS apps, a Windows standalone app, any SCORM or xAPI-based LMS, and named headsets: Meta Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, Go, Rift and Rift S, Lenovo Mirage S3, HTC Vive Focus, Vive Focus 3, Vive and Vive Pro, and Pico G2, Neo 2, Neo 3 and Neo 4. The page repeats that "headsets are not required", which matters for an organization that wants to pilot VR training without buying hardware.

Results the company publishes

The CenarioVR page leads with an example: "Garrison just spilled over $200,000 worth of fragile product from his forklift. It cost his company $0." It then lists client results: a 400% ROI, stock loss from theft reduced by 55% through immersive mobile learning, $588,000 saved with "Five More Ultrasound Machines No Longer Needed" because fewer hands-on sessions were required, and $199.98K saved with commuting time reduced by 1,724 hours and 695 better skilled people. These are ELB Learning's own case figures.

Testimonials on the page come from customers of several suite products. Michael Getz, President of Illumina Interactive, says his company "chose CenarioVR for its ease of authoring and the ability to rapidly prototype" a VR experience that runs on several platforms. Amy Chapman of PPD, writing about the Match game in the Training Arcade, says players "scored 21% better on the post test than those who didn't." Victoria Allen of Modern Woodmen praises Rehearsal for letting her record from anywhere and get feedback right away.

Pricing, trial and support

CenarioVR has a free trial, offered several times on the page. The only price on the page is $89 a month, which the company cites when describing CenarioVR as more affordable than enterprise-only VR platforms; the site's menu links to separate pricing pages for The Studio and for custom courses. Support runs through a knowledge base with tutorials and getting-started guides, a user community, product training and webinars, a contact-support page, and a phone line staffed 8 AM to 5 PM Mountain time.

On security, the page states that ELB Learning is "SOC 2 Type II compliant for CenarioVR, The Training Arcade, and The Learning Creation Studio authoring hub", and the menu links to GDPR compliance and accessibility resources.

Services around the product

ELB Learning is also a services company, which matters for a buyer who wants simulations but lacks the staff to build them. Its menus list learning development and design, game development, animation and video creation, AI transformation and implementation services, and a staffing service that places instructional designers, e-learning developers, LMS administrators, facilitators and AI enablement specialists. Industries named on the homepage are financial services, life sciences and healthcare, technology, manufacturing, government, and hospitality and quick-service restaurants. Success stories on the homepage include immersive online training for Air Force cyber teams, VR training to reduce workplace safety incidents, and VR product training for global sales and marketing teams in eye health technology. The homepage also names 3M as scaling personalized coaching across a global salesforce.

Who it suits

CenarioVR suits a corporate L&D or safety training team that wants scenario practice for situations that are costly or dangerous to stage: warehouse and forklift work, construction and hotel safety, clinical scenarios, equipment and parts assembly, theft prevention. Because courses run in a browser and on phones as well as on headsets, a team can start with existing devices and add headsets later, and SCORM, xAPI and cmi5 output keeps results in the LMS it already runs. E-learning agencies and in-house teams that already use Lectora get a VR builder that publishes into their existing courses.

It suits a buyer less well when the scenarios are mainly conversations, or when nobody on the team can capture 360-degree video or photos, although the AI scene generation and ELB Learning's own development services partly cover that gap. Organizations looking for a full LMS should look at the company's learning platforms separately; CenarioVR is the authoring and publishing piece.
