What 3spin Learning is

3spin Learning is a corporate training platform built around simulated conversations and immersive scenarios. Employees practice a feedback talk, a price negotiation or a customer complaint with an AI avatar that answers in real time, then get feedback from an AI coach the company calls Sophia. Alongside that ready-made soft skills library sits a no-code authoring platform for building your own VR, AR, 360-degree and AI training. The readers are HR and L&D teams, sales and customer service leaders, lab and safety managers, and e-learning designers who want to produce immersive courses in-house.

The company describes itself as "GDPR-compliant and made in Germany". Its Our Story page says Oliver Göck and Thomas Hoger founded 3spin Learning in 2020 with their own funds from a digital agency, that the first outside investment came in 2021 from the German state of Hesse, and that in 2024 TÜV NORD bought shares and has been the largest shareholder since. The two companies now present the offer jointly, and the site's header carries the TÜV NORD GROUP name.

Two ways to use it

The homepage frames the product as two approaches to one goal: "Select ready-made soft skill training programs or build your own with a flexible authoring platform."

Ready-made AI soft skills training. The soft skills page advertises "100+ Ready-to-use Soft Skill Trainings". They cover communication and conversation skills (active listening, feedback, difficult conversations), leadership and collaboration (employee reviews, conflict resolution, change communication), sales and negotiation (objection handling, closing), customer service and complaint management, and emotional intelligence and conflict management. A session runs in four steps: choose a scenario, talk to the avatar, receive AI feedback measured against defined learning objectives, and repeat as many times as you like. The FAQ says many scenarios take 5 to 20 minutes. Avatars "simulate anger, frustration, joy, or uncertainty" and change their behavior depending on what the learner says. Organizations can also customize, update or expand the scenarios and modules themselves.

No-code authoring. The VR Platform & Editor lets designers "Design your own immersive AI training courses without programming knowledge", and the homepage says it can cut VR training production costs "by up to 80%". The company's pitch is that immersive content should be as easy to make as a traditional web-based training, without coding or recurring revision costs. The Our Story page describes how AI changes authoring: experts define the topic and method, and the learner shapes the rest in conversation with the AI. It also gives an example of learning tied to the working day: when an important feedback meeting sits in a learner's Outlook calendar, the AI recommends dates to prepare for it. The site lists author onboarding, an implementation service for moving from pilot to rollout, and consulting and content creation for clients who want the company to build a course.

Formats and devices

All courses run in a web browser on desktops and tablets without installation, and compatible VR or AR headsets can be used for immersive scenarios. The FAQ answers the headset question directly: no VR glasses are required for the AI soft skills training. Beyond conversation practice, the platform covers VR training, AR training and 360-degree training, and its use cases include laboratory and pharmaceutical safety training, where the homepage claims AI safety training can reduce the risk of injury by 70%. A browser trial of the AI training is offered "Free and without obligation".

LMS integration, data and reporting

The FAQ says the training plugs into learning management systems "such as SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Moodle, or Docebo via SCORM or xAPI", and that "Learning progress is automatically synchronized." Reporting covers behavior, communication, interaction patterns and learning progress, so a company can see which skills improved and where more training is needed. The homepage checklist reads "Compatible with LMS, SCORM, VR/PC/mobile" and "For 10 or 10,000 employees".

On data protection, the soft skills page lists "ISO 27001 data protection" and GDPR compliance, and the FAQ says personal information is stored encrypted, evaluated anonymously and not passed to third parties, with voice and text inputs used only for real-time feedback and not released for external model training. The same answer mentions single sign-on, role-based access rights, audit logs and European data centers as options platforms of this kind offer. The pricing page is more specific about 3spin itself: single sign-on for Microsoft login is available on request on the Flatrate plan.

Pricing

The pricing page, titled "Licensable Per VR & AR Learner", lists three plans with a 12-month term, all prices plus VAT:

  • Starter: from €249 per month, for 25 learners, described as "Perfect for smaller teams".
  • Pro: from €830 per month, for 150 learners, "Ideal for one department".
  • Flatrate: on request, for 1,000+ learners, "Optimized for use throughout companies".

Every plan includes automatic backups, LMS integration, multi-user courses, AI dialogs, success reports and a virtual companion. The Flatrate adds options such as Microsoft single sign-on or customized instances. Access to the authoring tool is optional, at €2,490 for onboarding, and the table's course row runs from one reusable ready-made course to unlimited courses depending on the plan. Annual contributions are paid by bank transfer. State-recognized schools and universities qualify for discounted Education licences.

There is no free plan. The FAQ answers "Can I try 3spin Learning for free?" with a free personal demo by video conference, in which you can take part in a training session, followed by trial versions if you want to keep working: you can edit the training courses, create new ones with the included assets, and upload your own images and sounds. Demo calls are pitched as "15 minutes · No obligation · No preparation needed". Phone support runs Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 CET, and the site lists a dedicated support team, a help center and author onboarding.

Partners and agencies

The partner page addresses agencies, sales trainers, resellers and affiliates. An agency building training for a client that already holds 3spin Learning licences does not need its own and works directly in the client's instance; an agency without a client can book the package with unlimited authors. Trainers who sell standardized courses can set fixed prices without their clients buying licences. Affiliates earn commission on won customers, and partners get platform access with a one-time onboarding fee of €2,490. Hardware partners named on the page include Meta (Oculus) and Pico VR, alongside content agencies and VR rental firms.

Claims and references

The headline figures (114% better sales performance, 71% greater customer satisfaction, 77% less staff turnover, 36% more productivity) come, as the soft skills page states, from the DDI PROOF meta-study and "do not refer exclusively to 3spin Learning". Customer stories are the platform's own: the site says Lufthansa Cargo cut the average failure rate of its warehouse workers' exams by 80% with AR training, that E.ON grid operator Avacon prepared more than 200 trainees at six locations, that student pilots improved their performance by 15% with 360-degree and VR training, and that Zurich won over 75% of its employees with AI training. Bayer, Jungheinrich, Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim and Union Investment also appear in case studies. The company says it was named a "Top 3" winner in the 2025 HR Innovation Award, together with TÜV NORD.

Who it suits

3spin Learning fits a mid-sized or large organization that wants employees to rehearse conversations, not just read about them: HR teams running feedback and leadership programs, sales teams practicing objections and negotiation, service desks handling complaints, and lab or industrial sites that need safety scenarios too risky to stage for real. The browser delivery means a pilot needs no headsets, and the SCORM and xAPI connection keeps results inside an existing LMS. E-learning teams that want to build immersive courses themselves get the editor, at the price of the onboarding fee.

It suits a small team less well: the entry plan starts at €249 a month on a 12-month term for 25 learners, and payment is annual by bank transfer. Organizations whose training is mostly compliance reading or product knowledge, with no conversation or hands-on practice in it, will use little of what the platform is built for.
