Jaro Education is an Indian online higher education and upskilling company that enrolls working professionals in degree, certificate and executive programs run with universities and institutes, among them several IITs and IIMs. The home page states "Estd: 2009" and "Listed on NSE & BSE," and calls the company the first mover and the oldest in the edtech industry. A news item reproduced on the site describes Jaro as a listed player in India's online higher education and upskilling sector marking 17 years of operations, and another headline says it "celebrates 3.5 lakh learners," that is 350,000. The head office is on the 4th floor of Brijwasi Excellentia in Goregaon (E), Mumbai. For a learner, Jaro is the route into a named institute's program; for this directory, it sits with executive education and university-backed online learning.
What learners can enroll in
The home page invites professionals to "Access a wide range of certification programs from IITs and IIMs, designed to bridge the gap between industry needs and academia." The trending programs show the range. IIT Bombay's Chief Technology Officer Programme runs 8 months. IIT Roorkee's Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Applied Data Science & AI and the Chief Technology & AI Officer PG Certificate Program by CEC, IIT Roorkee each run 6-8 months. IIM Kozhikode offers two 1-year professional certificate programs, one in Investment Banking, Risk & Capital Markets and one in AI-Powered Digital Marketing for Performance & Growth. IIM Nagpur's Blended MBA for Working Professionals runs 2 years. The site's popular searches add Online MBA, Symbiosis University, IIM Ahmedabad's AGMP and IIT Bombay's CTO program, and a news item notes that IIM Ahmedabad, in collaboration with Jaro Education, opened admissions for Batch 8 of its Executive Programme in Business Finance.
The company blog describes the offer as a ladder: professionals can begin with foundational learning, move on to online certifications, and then into recognized online degrees and executive programs, backed by "leading universities and institutions such as IITs and IIMs." Learner testimonials on the blog mention programs and MBA admissions at Welingkar Institute of Management, Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Bharati Vidyapeeth University, and one learner describes a General Management Programme that broadened his leadership skills while he worked full time.
Every program card on the home page carries "Admission Open" and an application closure date, so these are cohort programs with intakes rather than courses a learner starts at any moment.
Free courses
Jaro also runs a set of free short courses, which it calls "Industry-Relevant Freemium Courses." They include Mastering Product Management: Roadmap, Vision, and Strategy (2-3 hours), AI for Business Leaders (2 hours), Business Statistics (10-12 hours), E-Commerce Marketing, FinTech 101: Digital Banking & Payments, Gen AI Tools and Applications, Management Consulting, Marketing in New Age Digital World (11-13 hours), a Masterclass on Strategy & Leadership, Performance Marketing for Growth, Python for Data Analysis (11-15 hours), Finance for All, Stakeholder Communication & Negotiation Skill Sets, Brand Building 101, Leadership in Crisis Management, SQL Essentials for Business Professionals (15-18 hours) and Microsoft Excel: Beginner to Advanced (6-8 hours). The blog suggests starting with one of these, such as Python for Data Analysis, to get a feel for the learning format and the subject before committing to a longer program. A news item on the site also announces a partnership with Jio to bring free, expert-led learning to Indian homes.
How the learning works
The blog sets out the delivery model plainly: "Live classes," "Faculty interaction," "Structured schedules" and "Peer learning," designed for people who already work full time. In its words, "You are not alone with a playlist. You are in live classes, talking to faculty, debating with peers, applying things to work the next morning." The same posts list dedicated career services, including resume building, LinkedIn profile work and career enhancement sessions, along with "Dedicated academic support & learner success teams" and an alumni and peer network. Jaro Connect is the company's community for lifelong learning and connecting with like-minded professionals.
The blog also explains how programs are chosen. The starting point, it says, is the role a person is trying to reach rather than the subject to be taught, which is why its programs look more like structured career pathways than scattered lessons, with an emphasis on application "through projects, case studies, and cohort learning." It maps this onto typical learners: a mid-level manager who needs leadership and business depth, a tech specialist who needs strategy and management, an entrepreneur who needs finance, people and growth skills, and a corporate professional looking for career progression.
Two free tools help a learner decide. The Skill Gap Calculator compares a learner's skills "against industry demands" for a target role, and the ROI Calculator lets a learner "compare your current earning potential with what you could achieve after upskilling." Prospective students can book a free expert counseling session between 10 AM and 7 PM, and a news item reports new counseling centers in Kolkata, Nagpur, Jaipur and Indore. A student support email address is listed on the site.
Scale and recognition
The home page lists awards including Outlook Business Icon Awards 2023 for India's Most Trusted Online Higher Education Company, EdTech Leader of the Year at the ET Now Business Conclave & Awards 2025 (West Edition), The Business Awards 2024 from The Times Group for Leading EdTech Company of the Year, and ET Best Organisations for Women 2026. News items on the site report that women make up 49 percent of the workforce, and that the company recorded 8,169 admissions in the quarter ending June 2026, 6,979 of them degree admissions and 1,190 certification admissions.
The home page shows no program fees; the route to a price is the counseling session.
Who it suits
Jaro Education suits a mid-career professional in India who wants a credential from a named institute without leaving a job: a technology manager aiming at an IIT CTO program, a finance professional looking at IIM Kozhikode's investment banking certificate, a marketer considering AI-powered digital marketing, or a manager who wants a blended or online MBA. It also suits a learner who wants to test a subject first through a free course of a few hours.
The caveats are about format and fees. Programs run in cohorts with live classes and application deadlines, so a learner has to fit a schedule. Fees come through a counselor rather than a published price list, so comparing programs takes a conversation.
