What uExcelerate is

uExcelerate is a leadership development and coaching platform sold to organizations rather than to independent coaches. The company calls it a SaaS-based Leadership Enablement Platform that connects learners with what it calls Growth Partners (coaches, mentors, assessors and facilitators) "whether internal or from our marketplace." The reader it serves is an L&D, HR or talent team that wants to run structured coaching and mentoring programs for its key people and then show what those programs changed. The company's own blog describes uExcelerate as a digital coaching platform from India, designed for organizations and leaders.

The home page frames the platform around specific talent moments: business transformation, succession planning, role transition, high performance, leadership roles and team management. Alongside the software, the company sells coaching services directly (one-on-one coaching, group and team coaching, workshops and consulting) and runs a coaching culture assessment, so a buyer can take the platform on its own or together with the people who deliver the programs.

How a program runs on the platform

The site describes four steps, and they map closely to how an L&D team would actually use it.

Setup comes first. The company says a company profile takes minutes, the platform connects to the organization's calendar and video conferencing tools, and administrators onboard different sets of users: internal or external coaches, mentors, facilitators, learners and program managers. Each role gets its own place in the system, so an external coach and an internal program manager work in the same program with different responsibilities.

Program design comes next. An organization creates multiple programs matched to the learning paths of its participants, including one-on-one, group and blended coaching, mentoring programs and tailor-made workshops. Several programs can run side by side, for example a mentoring batch for new managers next to group coaching for a senior team.

Then the program runs. A program manager creates engagements between learners and Growth Partners, or lets learners choose their own right-fit partner. Learners schedule sessions, set goals and record actions on the platform, which keeps their progress in one place between sessions.

Finally comes measurement. The platform measures behavioral change with what the company calls "scientifically proven, inbuilt assessment tools" that evaluate the effectiveness of learning at four levels: reaction, learning, behavior and results. The outcome is reported as ROI and ROE, so the program is judged on what changed rather than on attendance alone.

Platform features

The platform module lists six features, and together they describe the day-to-day tool.

  • Right Fit Match. An AI matching algorithm suggests the right expert or Growth Partner for each learner.
  • SMART Goals & Actions. Integrated generative AI helps learners define goals and the actions behind them.
  • ROI Calculator. Data-driven insight into results, which the marketplace section describes as measuring the impact of the development program.
  • Tools Library. Customizable development tools that can be added to a learner's program.
  • Inbuilt video conferencing. Sessions can run on uExcelerate's own video, or on any other video conferencing application the organization already uses.
  • Calendar integration. Participants connect their calendars and mark availability, so sessions are booked against real free time.

The marketplace adds data-driven insights to review learner progress, which gives a program manager a running view of each participant rather than a single report at the end.

The Growth Partner marketplace

The marketplace is where an organization finds coaches when it does not have enough in-house. The company says it holds "a diverse pool of over 300+ highly experienced and certified professionals" and covers assessors, facilitators and coaches "across 20+ countries." Matching is AI-powered, specialties cover different kinds of leadership intervention, and frameworks and learning models can be tailored for one-on-one or group work. One testimonial on the home page, from a pharmaceutical professional, says that after a few assessments the company assigned him a Gallup-certified coach.

Because the platform accepts internal coaches and mentors as well, a company that already has trained managers or an internal coaching pool can run programs with its own people and use the marketplace only to fill gaps, or to bring in specialists for a particular cohort.

The AI Coach

The AI Coach is the part aimed at employees who would rarely get a human executive coach. The company says it "enables a personal coach for every employee, available on demand," so that every employee can use coaching as a means of change and transformation. Its core coaching topics are time management, communication and leadership skills. It helps users set SMART goals, track milestones and stay accountable, and the site says it uses NLP, machine learning and sentiment analysis to personalize coaching. The company also states that the AI Coach is designed to ensure data privacy, security and fairness. For an organization, this is the way to extend some coaching support across the workforce while human coaching stays focused on leaders and high-potential staff.

Programs, content and coaching culture

On the services side, uExcelerate says its programs are "based on academically sound models and frameworks based on 'adult learning methodologies,' built for behaviour change," delivered with world-class coaches it partners with. Three building blocks are named: pre-built frameworks, deep-operating content that the company describes as proven and well-researched program content, and flexible modules designed for ease of learning. The solution pages group the work into leadership development, accelerated performance, employee well-being, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

A separate product, the Coaching Culture Assessment, examines an organization's coaching practices, processes and systems with a maturity analysis tool built on what the company calls its 7C model. It diagnoses strengths and gaps, compares the organization with industry benchmarks with a certification to recognize the result, and leads into consulting work aimed at building a lasting coaching culture. Behind this sits a Research Lab that the company says draws on adult learning, behavioral science and psychological theory to build evidence-based frameworks for leadership development. The company also runs the Coaching Culture Circle Conference and Awards, which it calls the largest virtual coaching culture event.

Pricing, trial and customers

The site publishes no prices. The home page offers a 21-day trial sign-up alongside a demo request, and the coaching services are arranged directly with the company.

The home page carries testimonials from named L&D and HR leads. Amit Saxena, Head Learning & Development at Compass Group, writes that the company ran "an interactive leadership workshop for our top leaders" focused on collaboration and team building, and that his company is now working with uExcelerate to coach its leadership team members. Alankar Das of Arohan Financial Services Limited praises the caliber of the coaches and the "advanced portal features" used in a high-potential (HiPot) program. Rewa Singh of Honasa Consumer Ltd. describes a mentoring program in which the first batch and their senior mentors went "through an insightful journey of over 9 months." Arsala Sayad, Head HR at St Jude India Childcare Centres, describes coaching sessions held with "a set of known and experienced coaches." Together they show the platform used for leadership workshops, high-potential programs, structured mentoring and staff coaching.

Who it suits

uExcelerate fits a mid-sized or large organization running formal leadership programs: a talent team preparing successors, supporting managers through role transitions, or running a high-potential cohort, which wants coaching, mentoring and workshops in one place with measurement attached. The mix of internal and marketplace coaches suits a company that has some coaching capacity and needs to scale it, and the AI Coach extends support to employees below the leadership tier.

It is a weaker fit for an independent coach who wants to sell sessions or courses to private clients, because everything is built around an organization's programs, program managers and impact reporting rather than around a storefront. A small team that coaches informally will also find more structure here than it needs. For the organizations it is built for, the draw is the measurement: the four-level assessment and the ROI and ROE reporting give an L&D team something concrete to show leadership when it has to justify the cost of a coaching program.
