Together is mentoring software that HR and L&D teams use to run internal mentoring and coaching programs. Instead of supplying outside coaches, it connects employees with experienced colleagues inside the same company, and handles the work around those relationships: registration, matching, scheduling, session agendas, reminders and reporting. The home page puts the aim as helping an organization "drive performance through relationships", and the company's own coaching-platform roundup on its blog describes Together as built for large organizations that want to build a coaching culture and strengthen connections between employees. The footer names the company as Together (US) Inc.

The site lists the outcomes customers buy it for: reducing turnover, improving diversity, equity and inclusion, deeper engagement, developing high-potential talent into leaders, training new managers, getting new employees up to speed faster, better remote collaboration and higher employee satisfaction.

Program formats

Together runs several kinds of connection on one platform:

  • Mentorship. Employees are matched with experienced mentors in the company for in-person or virtual mentoring.
  • Colleague Connect. Informal, peer-to-peer learning that encourages spontaneous conversations and knowledge sharing between colleagues.
  • Coffee Chats. Casual virtual coffee chats that connect peers and widen employees' networks, aimed at building community.
  • Events. A feature the blog calls unique to Together: planning and coordinating learning events where internal experts share what they know through live virtual sessions such as lunch and learns, AMAs and panel discussions. Together supplies templates and best practices, automates invitations, and reports on how each event performed and how employees engaged.

The same machinery serves coaching programs, and the blog notes that you can register as many coaches and coachees as you like.

How a program runs

Setup and registration. Every program starts from a template or a custom design. The home page says Together has customizable templates for all major mentoring formats, so a new program follows best practices from the start. Admins send tailored invitations to chosen employee groups by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams, and employees register by filling in a questionnaire.

Matching. Together uses registration answers and employee data to match people on goals, experience and skill sets, and admins decide and weigh the matching criteria themselves. Two modes are described on the blog: coachee-led auto-matching, where the mentee or coachee receives suggestions and approves or declines them, and admin-led auto-matching, where the program manager gets the suggested pairs and the coach can decline. The home page states that "98% of employees who use Together are satisfied with their mentor match."

Sessions. Together connects with any calendar provider so sessions are booked inside the platform, with no back-and-forth or switching apps. The blog names email, calendar, GSuite and Outlook among the everyday tools it works with, and a Microsoft Teams integration lets participants go straight into sessions and receive alerts in Teams messages or by email. Each pair gets session agendas to keep conversations productive, and admins can customize those agendas with their own content. Coach and coachee handbooks, articles and other resources are available to every user.

Keeping pairs on track. A Health Monitor tool, described on the blog, tells the program manager when a match needs support or a check-in and flags participants who are not meeting expectations, so a mismatch can be fixed quickly.

Measuring impact. Reporting dashboards cover the whole mentoring journey. The blog says reports draw on participation rates, pairing compatibility and goal completion, and that admins can build a customizable dashboard with the data their organization needs. Custom surveys collect feedback, and Together analyzes the responses through its survey tool.

Integrations, security and support

The home page says Together connects to an HRIS so admins can segment programs, invite employees, enrich mentor profiles and gain more insight. The blog adds single sign-on, learning management systems and core HR systems to the list of integrations. On security, the site states that "Together is SOC 2 certified and supports SAML & SSO", and the footer links to an uptime agreement and a data processing addendum. The product menu also lists multi-language support, tasks, badges and certificates, emails and communications, and artificial intelligence among the platform's tools.

According to the blog, Together can be customized down to the URL, branding, pairing algorithm and reporting dashboard, and pairings are unlimited. The home page describes a support team that helps run global mentoring programs at large companies, plus a help portal. Outside the product, the company runs The Mentorship Guild, a free network for HR and L&D professionals, along with an ROI calculator, a mentorship program planning hub, webinars and downloadable resources such as five session agenda templates with 10 discussion questions each.

Pricing

The blog says Together sells Professional and Enterprise plans, with two pricing models: all-employee pricing, where every employee can take part, and active-user pricing, where dormant participants can stay on the platform without charge. It lists the lack of a free version as a con, and invites buyers to book a 15-minute demo with sales to find a plan. Exact prices are not printed.

Customers and results

The home page features a case study from Activision, which raised its program engagement rate from 3% to 46% after launching with Together, shown on the page as a "15x" increase. Heather Gift, Global Manager of Employee Networks at Activision, is quoted saying "This program is so easy to use, it's so easy to administer." Other customers quoted on the home page include Hubspot, Marqueta, Avison Young, First Horizon, The Forum, Ferguson, the Louisiana Department of Health, NetApp and Amplify, ranging from organizations with under 1,000 employees to those with more than 10,000. Kodi Bobier, Talent Program Manager at NetApp, says Together let them "eliminate hours of manual matching and pairings for every mentee/mentor program." The blog adds UNICEF, Heineken, New York Life and Randstad to the customer list and reports scores of 4.8 out of 5 on G2 and 4.9 out of 5 on Capterra.

Who it suits

Together suits HR, L&D and talent teams, department leads and community managers who want to run structured internal mentoring or coaching across a large workforce without matching people by hand. It is a strong fit where the expertise already sits inside the company and the challenge is connecting people, following up and proving impact: new manager programs, onboarding, leadership pipelines, employee networks and inclusion initiatives. The Events and Coffee Chats formats make it useful for community building too.

Organizations looking to buy external professional coaching are looking for a different kind of service, since Together's strength is connecting colleagues. For a team that wants internal programs with real reporting behind them, it covers the full cycle from invitation to results.
