What The Coaches Console is

The Coaches Console is business software for independent coaches. One account holds a coaching website, client management, scheduling, billing, email marketing, a shopping cart, course and content delivery, and reporting. The homepage pitch is that marketing, enrollment, onboarding and billing run with hardly any input from the coach, so the coach's time goes into coaching. The menu follows the life of a practice in four stages, Launch, Coach, Automate and Scale, and the feature pages are arranged the same way.

The company's co-founder, Melinda Cohan, wrote The Confident Coach, The Professional Coach and Sustainable Success. Her author note says that since 2004 she has helped 50,000+ coaches build businesses, and in a January 2026 post she describes those as coaches she has worked with "through TCC", the company's short name for the Console. In this directory it belongs with the coaching platforms: it runs the business side of a coaching practice, from the first website visit to the invoice and the follow-up email, with group programs and self-paced courses as one part of that.

Launching and running the practice

The homepage promises a coach can "Launch your coaching business in 30 minutes or less." The website builder creates a professional coaching site "with just a few clicks of a button", which the coach customizes with their own branding and extends with extra pages, contact forms and lead magnets. A coaching templates section and a set of demo videos sit in the feature menu for coaches who want a starting point rather than a blank page.

Enrollment and onboarding come next. New clients sign online client agreements, pay through the built-in payment process, and receive automated onboarding messages, which the homepage presents as the way to impress clients from day one. Existing clients are managed inside a dedicated client portal that, in the homepage's words, keeps the coach's notes and communication "secure, organized, and accessible." Scheduling and billing are modules of their own, a shopping cart module handles online sales, reporting covers the business figures, and a Security & Compliance page sits alongside the other features.

Marketing and email

Marketing is where the feature pages go into most detail. The homepage lists automated emails, sales funnels and special reports as the tools for building an email list, enrolling more people in coaching programs and earning more revenue. The email marketing page then breaks the tool down:

  • Branding: every communication, including emails, appointment reminders, invoices, receipts, newsletters and autoresponders, carries the coach's logo, colors and business name.
  • Opt-in forms: built-in, customizable forms collect details from prospects who sign up for a free gift, so the coach can follow up in the right way.
  • Autoresponders: scheduled series of automated messages for drip marketing to prospects, onboarding new clients, and sending program-specific content and follow-up to existing clients.
  • Newsletters: regular mailings to prospects, clients or groups, written from scratch or built around one of the free articles pre-loaded in the system.
  • Broadcasts: email to one contact or to chosen groups, sent immediately or scheduled for a later date, and targeted by how contacts interacted with earlier emails.
  • Segmentation: separate messages for active clients, inactive clients, groups, hot leads and prospects.
  • Reporting: open rates and click rates for each email.
  • Communication log: every email, newsletter, notification, autoresponder and invoice archived per client and sortable by date, subject and client.
  • Notifications: emails that prompt clients to complete forms, pay invoices or schedule their next session, plus alerts that tell the coach when a client has updated or completed a form.

On privacy, the page says email will be "compliant with current privacy laws, include GDPR and CAN-SPAM", and every message lets recipients opt out of future email. For a coach who has been running a list in one tool, invoices in another and session reminders in a third, this is the part of the Console that replaces the most.

Group programs and courses

The homepage says coaches can "Easily create, sell, and manage group coaching programs and self-paced courses that will help more of your clients grow and transform", and Courses & Content Delivery is one of the feature modules. A coach can therefore package a group program or a self-paced course, sell it through the cart, and deliver it to enrolled clients in the same account where their agreements, billing and emails already live. The feature pages give no detail on lesson formats or cohort tools.

The co-founder's January 2026 post on course platforms is candid about where the Console's focus lies. Her recommendation is to run business operations in a coaching CRM and to deliver cohort-based group programs on a separate, learning-focused course platform. The criteria she sets for that platform show how she thinks about group work: cohort management with start dates, enrollment windows and easy duplication for the next group; discussion tied to each lesson rather than a general feed; live session integration with Zoom; simple setup, so a coach launches in days rather than months; and pricing that suits a typical group program. Her stated belief is that behind-the-scenes systems are what give coaches the confidence to show up as professionals.

Support, training and books

The Console comes with more than software. The homepage lists four kinds of help: a business coach who offers guidance, answers questions and provides accountability; a community of like-minded coaches; technical support through an online help desk, live chat, a searchable knowledge base and video tutorials; and a virtual assistant service that sets up the Console system and technology for the coach. The company also runs a blog, a podcast and an affiliate program.

The books are part of the offer. The homepage headline reads "We Literally Wrote the Books on the Business of Coaching!" The Confident Coach covers everything a coach needs to feel professional and confident in the business, from building a business you love to attracting ideal clients and making a lasting impact, and The Professional Coach is described as a guide for coaches who want to go beyond the basics and attract clients who resonate deeply. A free copy of The Professional Coach is offered on the site in exchange for a first name and email address.

Who it suits

The Coaches Console suits a solo coach who wants the business machinery in one place: a website, client agreements and payments, a client portal, scheduling, billing and an email system that keeps marketing and client communication going without daily attention. A new coach gets a site up quickly and can lean on the business coach, the community and the set-up assistant while learning the ropes. An established one-to-one practice adding group programs can segment its list into active clients, past clients and leads and send each the right message. The site keeps its prices on a separate pricing page, and none appear on the homepage or the feature pages. The caveat is the one the co-founder makes herself: the Console is built around running the coaching business, so a coach whose main product is a cohort course with lesson-level discussion and live calls may want a dedicated course platform alongside it.
