Speeko is an AI speech coaching platform for people who want to speak with more confidence, in presentations, meetings, interviews or ordinary conversation. Its about page describes it as a platform that helps people "communicate with more confidence and clarity" through personalized feedback, guided practice, AI-powered roleplays and expert coaching. It is a learner product first: an individual downloads the app, practices, and gets feedback on how they sound. Alongside the app, Speeko sells one-to-one sessions with human coaches and a team version for employers. The footer says the product is "Made with love in Chicago" by Speeko, Inc., and the company says more than 500,000 professionals trust it.

The origin story on the about page is personal: the CEO, Nico, had an anxiety attack in front of his college rhetoric class and spent years of practice and professional guidance improving. The leadership team listed there is Nico as CEO, Will as CTO, Anthony as Chief Product Officer and Jen as Managing Director.

What the app does

Speeko listens while you speak and reports back. The home page shows six areas of feedback, each with a short note on what to do next:

  • Pace, for example "Your average pace is 145 WPM, which is easy to follow."
  • Eloquence, mainly avoiding fillers so you sound more credible and prepared.
  • Intonation, adding pitch variety to convey more emotion.
  • Sentiment, the emotional tone your words express.
  • Talk time, prompting you to think about how much room others get in a conversation.
  • Word choice, cutting hedging, qualifying and redundant language.

The company says its team built phonetic and linguistic algorithms to produce these insights, and that it has reworked techniques speech coaches have used for decades. The app also tracks voice and speech patterns in real time, with simple alerts meant to keep you at your best "Everywhere your voice is."

Practice is built in short pieces. The home page promises bite-sized exercises based on your own speaking style and goals, in "just 2 minutes a day". A toolkit adds digital notecards, interview prompts and vocal warm-ups, and AI roleplays let you rehearse conversations with an AI partner. The home page also offers "exclusive content from America's #1 voice coach, Roger Love."

The app runs on iOS, macOS, Android and the web, and a Pro membership works across devices on the same account. For other languages, the Help Center suggests using the web app with the browser's translation feature for the interface and content, and switching the transcription language so you can practice in a supported language and get feedback on pace, pausing, intonation and word choice. Pro members can add custom filler words for their language.

Free and Pro

The free version, according to the Help Center, includes unlimited sessions with basic AI feedback, the first module in every course, AI roleplay, free live events and one daily warm-up activity, and it "never expires". Speeko Pro is the paid membership, sold as monthly, annual and lifetime plans. The site's main pages do not print Pro prices.

Refund terms depend on where you bought. For purchases on the Speeko website, monthly plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee and annual or lifetime plans a 30-day guarantee, requested by live chat or email. Purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's own refund process, and the Help Center says Speeko cannot offer its guarantee on App Store purchases.

On privacy, the home page says no one has access to your audio data except you. The Help Center says audio and transcripts are stored securely, never sold, and that you decide whether your data helps train Speeko's AI. Account deletion requests are answered, the company says, within 72 hours where it can.

Live coaching

Live coaching is a separate service that the FAQ says works alongside Pro: Pro is the "24/7 AI practice space", and the coach adds human feedback. It starts with a 30-minute introductory assessment for $49.99, a special introductory offer that can be redeemed only once. The session asks for no preparation, gives an expert view of your vocal delivery, habits and biggest opportunities, and ends with a personalized roadmap that combines live coaching with practice in the app. You are matched with a coach based on an intake form and the time slot you choose. After the assessment, the coach may suggest a customized coaching package.

Coaches can help with confidence, executive presence, presentations, interview skills, storytelling, filler words and sounding less monotone, and the FAQ mentions people filming social media content as well. Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours ahead; missed sessions and late cancellations are not refunded. Speeko calls its policy a "Worry-Free Guarantee", offering a full refund to anyone unhappy with the experience, and provides a reimbursement email template for people whose employer may pay.

Speeko for Business

The business offer comes in two tiers. App only gives every team member full Speeko Pro access on iOS, Android and web, unlimited AI speech analysis and feedback, and the communication training library. App plus live programs adds interactive workshops and coaching cohorts, virtual or in person, a dedicated account manager, enterprise SSO and optional content and training customization. The workshops cover skills such as storytelling, executive presence and everyday workplace communication.

The business FAQ is unusually detailed on terms. Licenses are sold at a discount compared with individual memberships, priced by the number of seats with bigger discounts for larger plans. Billing is annual and upfront, with no monthly or usage-based option, and the plan renews automatically, though admins can switch renewal off. Payment is by ACH or most major credit and debit cards; invoices, purchase orders and checks are not accepted. Setup fees may apply for add-ons such as SSO, team training sessions and Zero Data, which keeps audio off Speeko's servers entirely. There is no trial for business accounts, but the sales team runs product tours.

In the Speeko Admin Portal, an admin uploads team email addresses, reassigns a leaver's seat to a new employee, adds seats mid-year at a prorated rate, and adds further administrators. Seat numbers can only be reduced at renewal. Reports show participation rates, speech improvement trends and usage analytics. By default, admins cannot hear their team's audio; members must opt in to share it, and Speeko says it does not use business audio to improve its models by default.

Who it suits

Speeko suits an individual who wants frequent, low-pressure practice on how they sound, such as a professional preparing for presentations or interviews, or anyone trying to drop filler words. The free tier is generous enough to build a daily habit, and the $49.99 assessment is a modest way to try a human coach. For employers, the business plans fit teams that want communication training at scale with clear admin controls and privacy defaults. Organizations that need invoicing or a trial before buying will find the purchasing terms strict, but the product tour and detailed FAQ make the decision easier to prepare.
