Noomii is a directory and matching service for professional coaching. A person looking for a coach describes their goals, and Noomii recommends up to five independent coaches from its network, each of whom offers a free consultation before the client decides whether to hire anyone. The How It Works page calls Noomii "the world's largest and most trusted network of professional coaches, with over 25,000 independent coaches across 50+ countries", and the home page says it is "Trusted by 34,000+ coaches & clients". The footer describes Noomii.com as an Accountability Now Company, with a copyright line running from 2008. The service has two sides: clients who want a life, career, business, executive, health or relationship coach, and coaches who want to grow a practice by reaching new clients.

How matching works for a client

The process has four steps, set out on the How It Works page. First you answer a few short questions about what you want to achieve, such as advancing your career, building confidence, finding balance, improving relationships or growing your business; the page notes that the more detail you give, the better the matches. Second, Noomii uses what it calls "the power of AI combined with 15+ years of expertise in coaching" to pick up to five coaches who fit your background, personality and budget. The home page promises 5 SmartMatched coaches in 15 minutes, with no credit card required.

Third, you consult with your matches. "Every Noomii coach offers a free 15–20 minute consultation," the page says, giving you a chance to ask questions, hear the coach's approach and judge whether you click. Noomii recommends meeting at least three coaches before deciding. Fourth, you hire the coach who feels right and begin working together, with the coach supporting you in creating clarity, accountability and lasting change in your life or work.

For clients the service is free to use. In the site's words, "You only pay once you have chosen a coach, and only for the coaching you agree to together." Coaches set their own fees, and the matching takes budget into account, with Noomii saying it helps you find the right coach "at the right investment level, not just the closest one". The menu also advertises a way to claim free coaching sessions, and a pop-up offers to recommend other suitable coaches.

Who you can find

The directory covers a wide range of specialties. The main menus point to business, career, life, health and fitness, and relationship coaches, and the coaching guides list ADHD, Christian, entrepreneurship, executive, family, leadership, money and finance, performance, retirement, spirituality and team coaching as well. Coaches can be searched by city. The home page lists local pages for US cities from Atlanta and Austin to Seattle, Tampa and Washington DC, Canadian cities including Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, and international pages for Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, with more cities beyond those.

A featured coach profile on the home page shows what a listing looks like: a name, a city, the coach's specialties (in this case relationship, life and spirituality coaching), and a short statement in the coach's own words about whom they help, with a link to the full profile.

On trust, the site's line is "No bots, no gimmicks, no scams. All coaches are real, independent professionals." The home page describes the network as a directory of vetted professional coaches. Noomii's own guide notes that some coaches hold an ICF credential at the ACC, PCC or MCC level, which it describes as progressive credentials showing formal training and a certain amount of coaching hours, and it adds that niche on-the-job experience can be just as valuable as formal training.

Team and organizational coaching

Noomii also serves organizations. The menu has a section for organizations and a corporate coaching page, and the home page invites companies to find coaches for their teams. The team coaching guide, written by a coach in the network, explains how a team coach works with a group toward a shared goal: facilitating meetings, setting expectations through a team charter, building an action plan, clarifying roles, keeping individuals accountable and handling conflict. It says team coaching can happen in a classroom or virtually by phone or video, and distinguishes it from one-off team building and from group coaching, which centers on a topic rather than a team goal. According to the guide, Noomii has hundreds of team coaches from dozens of cities around the world.

The same guide gives a sense of cost. It says team coaches charge anywhere between $100 to $500 per hour, often sell monthly or project-based packages that can include scheduled sessions, email and text support, homework and assessments, and sometimes ask for a three, six or 12-month commitment.

The leadership page frames the business differently from the directory pages: "We are not a coaching directory. We are a coaching firm." It names three co-founders, Michelle Markland, Katie Steed and Don Markland, and mentions specialized service lines including medical practice coaching, logistics and EyeCare+, plus a coach success manager who runs coach onboarding, quality assurance and performance feedback.

For coaches

The coach side is a lead and practice-growth program. The For Coaches menu shows a running count of new client leads, alongside an overview and pricing page, coach testimonials and a coach FAQ. The home page's "I'm a Coach" panel offers to show coaches how to grow a practice with Noomii, with free training included. The coach pricing itself sits on a separate page.

Reputation and resources

Noomii says it has been featured in The Washington Post, Lifehacker and TechCrunch, describes itself as the "#1 Trusted Coaching Platform", and states that thousands of people use it every month to find a coach. For people new to coaching, the site publishes guides on life, business, career, executive and relationship coaching, articles on coaching versus therapy and on coaching costs, client case studies, and a two-minute video on whether coaching is right for you.

Who it suits and who it does not

Noomii suits someone who knows they want a coach but not which kind or which person: a professional weighing a career change, a small business owner who wants accountability, a manager preparing for a leadership role, or someone working on relationships or health. The free consultations make it easy to compare several coaches at different price points before spending money, and the city pages help anyone who prefers a coach nearby. It also suits organizations that want a coach for a leadership or project team, and coaches looking for client leads beyond their own network.

It is a matching service rather than a coaching program or course, so the quality of the experience rests on the individual coach a client picks, and fees vary from coach to coach. For a client who takes the advice to meet at least three coaches, Noomii offers a structured way to find a good fit.
