What Growthspace is
Growthspace is a skill development platform for enterprise L&D and talent teams. It calls itself "The #1 precision skill development platform" and works in two modes: it matches employees, alone or in small cohorts, with outside experts for short development sprints, and through a product called ExpertX it turns a company's own subject-matter experts into AI agents that train, coach and answer questions. The footer gives an address at 450 Lexington Ave in New York and names Growthspace Inc.
The idea running through the site is precision. Instead of enrolling people in a broad program, an L&D team starts with a named skill gap and Growthspace builds the development around it. The home page frames the problem with a Gartner figure, "77% of CEOs feel their organization's experts lack the knowledge and capabilities to deliver", and answers "Growthspace solves that." The solutions menu covers manager training, executive and leadership development, individual contributors and high potentials, functional team skill development and AI skills development.
Human expert programs
The core offer is matching people with experts. For 1:1 skill development, the home page promises "AI-powered connections between your people and one of our 2,500+ global experts who specialize in the specific skill and share the participant's background across 1,100 skills." A ServiceNow talent director quoted on the home page describes the sprints as "5 one-hour sessions". The footer describes the network differently, as over 2,800 global experts in over 65 countries across 80+ skill sets.
Group skill development puts small cohorts together. The company's blog says Growthspace groups three to six employees around a shared development goal, matches them with an expert facilitator, and weighs function, seniority, industry, geography and the target capability to find the fit. The target capability comes from a defined taxonomy spanning leadership, management, communication and cross-functional challenges, and each group program runs as four sessions of 1.5 hours built around situations people face in their roles. AI handles matching, skill-gap assessment and measurement; a human expert leads every live session. Expert-led workshops are the third format, which the site describes as experiential learning rather than lecture-style training, and the blog says the three formats can be combined.
ExpertX and the AI agents
ExpertX is the newer layer, announced on the home page as "expert guidance, available 24/7". Growthspace pitches it as a done-for-you agentic design, build and operation, so a company does not have to assemble models, data and systems itself. The agents come in five kinds. The Knowledge Agent is modeled after a company's best experts and answers questions, surfaces procedures and remembers context. The Presentation Agent turns a deck or document into an interactive, AI-led presentation that adapts to each learner's questions. The Role Play Agent trains reps on objection handling, discovery and difficult conversations. The Coaching Agent gives proactive feedback based on earlier role plays. A Custom Agent combines these around internal processes. The home page contrasts this "Agentic L&D" with static, pre-recorded, generic training built centrally: the agents work from the company's own content and context, run from its own platform, and let each business unit or team build its own training. The blog adds that the agents answer only from approved organizational content and hand off to a human when the answer is not there. A customer story on the home page describes Ulta Beauty using ExpertX to capture leadership knowledge from top executives and coach managers across hundreds of stores.
Running programs as an L&D team
For the team buying it, Growthspace handles assessment, scheduling and measurement. The blog lists automated expert matching and scheduling across regions and time zones, engagement metrics, anonymous participant feedback, performance tracking across cohorts, and skill goals set at the start of every program and measured against outcomes such as promotion rates, 360 feedback scores and business metrics. It also says the platform supports SSO and enterprise deployments. The home page sets out use cases with figures it attributes to programs: succession readiness (+30% "Ready now" score), high potentials (+50% retention, +30% role readiness), sales excellence (+5% sales performance), manager performance (+10%, with +10% direct-report retention), AI adoption (+20% change readiness) and service excellence (+6% customer retention, +10% NPS). The blog reports a 30% increase in internal promotions within 12 months from its group programs and says 96% of participants say the sessions helped them meet their development goals.
Security, pricing and customers
The footer states "ISO 27001/27017/27018, SOC2 certified". Pricing is not published: the blog says Growthspace offers custom pricing based on the number of participants, the program type and implementation requirements, and the home page offers a 30-minute walkthrough that maps ExpertX and the expert sprints to a company's skill gaps. The blog notes a G2 rating of 4.8/5 from 249 reviews as of August 2026, and says Growthspace works with L&D teams at Microsoft, Deloitte, EY, Siemens, PayPal and Tim Hortons.
The home page quotes named customers. Kendra Goldbas, global head of L&D at PayPal, credits the shift from a classroom experience to "the partnership with a Growthspace expert". Carlos Guerra of Owens & Minor says it "provided our leaders with a structured, personalized approach to development that ultimately delivered measurable results." Marcela Pineda of TELUS Digital says: "Other vendors made us feel like we needed a full-time person just to get started. Growthspace was different. It was ready, and it worked." Customer stories describe Securitas North America pairing targeted coaching with its existing training to build a leadership pipeline, and Tim Hortons combining expert matching with one-to-one coaching on practical soft skills for restaurant leaders. In another, John Lucas, a former CHRO at Stanley Black & Decker, calls Growthspace the most innovative, collaborative and cost effective L&D solution he has found in 35+ years.
Who it suits and who it does not
Growthspace suits large organizations whose L&D team can name the skill gaps it needs closed, for new managers, high potentials, succession candidates, sales or service teams, and wants live expert time and outcome measures rather than a course library. Companies that want their own experts' knowledge available on demand will look at ExpertX, and talent teams that prefer one partner for coaching, cohorts, workshops and AI practice get all four.
It is not a self-paced course catalog or an LMS for hosting content, and it is not a tool for an individual coach. The company's own blog says it is built primarily for enterprise L&D teams rather than smaller companies with lighter coaching needs, and budgets are set in a quote.
