What FocusCoachee is

FocusCoachee is coaching software for independent professional coaches who work with clients one to one over a structured program. It keeps goals, sessions, methods, reflections, actions and progress for each client in one workspace, and gives the client a private portal of their own. The company's German blog post on choosing a platform describes it as a European, privacy-first coaching workspace built around the relationship between coach and client, and names its best fit as self-employed life, career, leadership and business coaches running structured 1:1 programs.

The product comes from a practicing coach. The pricing page quotes Sebastiaan, a life coach and the founder of FocusCoachee, and says it was "Not built by a software company, but by a coach who knew exactly what was missing." The site runs in six languages: German, English, Spanish, Dutch, Norwegian and Brazilian Portuguese. It also has a side for people looking for a coach, with a Find a Coach directory fed by the coaches' public profiles.

Working with a client

The center of the product is the client timeline. Sessions, methods, findings, dialogue and actions from both coach and client sit in one chronological view, so a coach preparing for the next session sees what happened since the last one. Goals are set together with the client, and scaling questions turn progress into a measurable score over time; coaches can optionally define the client's core values so goals connect to them. A momentum score and progress insights come with every plan, including the free one.

Methods are the second pillar. FocusCoachee ships a growing library of 88+ coaching methods on every plan, and coaches can add their own or build new ones with AI help. A method attaches to a session in seconds. When the coach records findings against it, an insights chat opens on that method so the client can say what they tried and the coach can answer in the same place. With the client's consent, AI suggests methods from FocusCoachee's own library that match the client's goals and context, and the features page stresses that the coach decides what fits.

Admin features cover the rest of the practice. Coaches build forms for their own process, send them to clients or publish an intake form on their public coach page. Follow-ups can be set while adding a method or action ("three days later", in the site's example). Scheduling can be turned on with available time blocks so clients pick a slot themselves. Coaches create their own agreement templates for clients to sign inside the platform, and both sides can download the signed PDF. Resources such as a client's CV, an assessment or a certificate stay with the client's file, both sides can add them, and every version is kept. In-app notifications cover new reflections, actions and appointments.

For their own development, coaches get a CPD log aimed at ICF credential renewal, covering supervision, peer supervision and coach education against a renewal cycle. The pricing page marks this log, and practice-wide reporting, as in development for the Pro plan.

The client side

Clients do not need an app; the FAQ says a browser on any device is enough. Their portal holds all sessions, actions, reflections and goals. Between sessions they can revisit methods and insights, update actions, leave a reflection or question on the method they are working on, and see their own growth through goal progress scores and scaling timelines. They read and sign coaching agreements in the portal and keep access to the signed copy.

Plans and prices

The pricing page lists three plans, with prices excluding VAT, which is calculated by country. Starter is free with no time limit and no payment details: one active coaching program with the full methods library, goals and scaling questions, session notes with actions, the momentum score, your own methods and a public coach profile. Coach Plus, marked most chosen, covers up to 10 active programs, up to 10 custom methods, client forms, 250 MB of client resources and client scheduling. Coach Pro removes the limits on programs, custom methods and client forms and intake, adds 1 GB of resources with version history, an enhanced coach profile and the CPD and reporting tools as they roll out.

A founding coach offer for the first 50 coaches prices Plus at €29 a month instead of €47 and Pro at €57 a month instead of €87, and the FAQ says that rate never increases for those coaches. The page works out Plus at less than €3 per client relationship per month. Billing runs through Stripe with invoices in the account, plans can be changed at any time with immediate effect, and a canceled plan stays active until the end of the billing period. The FAQ adds that the methods library is never held back for higher tiers; Pro adds scale and practice tools rather than better methods.

Security and data

The features page says the platform is designed to meet GDPR requirements and includes a data processing agreement, and that all client data is stored in the Netherlands, with AI features processed under a GDPR-compliant agreement. Clients give or withdraw consent for AI support per program, and without consent no client data goes to AI. Data is protected with TLS in transit and, where possible, field-level encryption at rest. Two-factor authentication through an authenticator app is required for coaches and optional for clients. Signed agreements carry a timestamp and a SHA-256 fingerprint and are kept in line with statutory retention periods.

Who it suits and who it does not

FocusCoachee suits a solo coach who runs one-to-one programs and wants the coaching work itself, rather than billing or marketing, to be organized: methods, goals, reflections and progress in one place, with a client portal that keeps people engaged between sessions. The free Starter plan lets a coach try it with one real client indefinitely, and the founding prices keep the paid plans modest for the first 50 coaches. Coaches with European clients who care where data lives get a clear answer.

It is not built for selling courses, memberships or funnels, and the company's own blog points coaches with those needs toward course platforms. Organizations that need coach matching and HR reporting are described in the same post as a different category.
