Schoolbox
Tap a star to rate
Schoolbox is a K-12 school platform that combines a learning management system, a fully branded community portal and pastoral care in one product, sold to whole schools and school groups. It is made by Schoolbox Pty Ltd, whose site closes with an acknowledgement of the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia. The home page calls it "the growth platform trusted by leading K-12 schools" and claims 1m+ active users, 20+ years of school-led innovation and a 99% retention rate, adding that 1 in 3 Schoolbox schools have been with the company for 10+ years. The current release named on the site is Schoolbox 26.1.
The LMS
The LMS page says the system is built for whole-school alignment, from the classroom to the leadership team, and connects curriculum, teaching, communication and wellbeing so a school delivers consistent learning across year levels, campuses and curricula.
Curriculum. Leaders map curriculum against any framework or standard, build custom unit planners and reusable templates, align work to badges, rubrics and capabilities, and run a visual coverage analysis to spot gaps, overlaps and inconsistencies. Several curricula can run side by side across campuses or year levels, and the site lists IB schools among the school types it serves.
Teaching workflows. Teachers reuse courses, tasks and assessment templates, schedule content and activities ahead, and use embedded classroom tools such as blogs, forums and learning journals. The pricing table adds the course, class and lesson structure, lesson planning templates, drag-and-drop content creation, ePortfolios and curriculum tagging, with goal setting, recognition and microcredentials.
Learner insight. Each student has a profile that joins academic, pastoral and behavioral data. Teachers and leaders get cohort and class dashboards, completion and engagement tracking, and "Pulse alerts" meant to flag risk factors early. Role-based access controls who sees what.
Assessment and feedback. The LMS offers rubric-based and inline feedback, multimedia and voice feedback, grade visibility controls, continuous and summative reporting workflows and parent-friendly dashboards. The pricing table lists course, class and rubric markbooks, an inline grader with a similarity checker, an assessments calendar, individualized learning and custom assessment, and a summative reporting PDF generator.
AI tools. The LMS page describes an AI Discussion Activity (scaffolded one-on-one AI discussions for students), AI Differentiation Profiles that bring learning, wellbeing and adjustment needs into one profile, an AI Image Generator, AI Lesson Plans and an AI Assistant that generates, refines and translates content for newsletters, parent updates and student resources. The company says it uses AI to enhance teachers' expertise, not replace it. The pricing table notes that AI usage may incur additional usage costs.
Community portal and pastoral care
The community portal is the school's branded online home, which the home page describes as an online environment that "feels like an extension of your real campus". It keeps parents, staff and students in sync through personalized dashboards and timetables, push notifications, news and an email digest, collaborative spaces with forums, polls and a social stream, and QR code login and single sign-on. Higher plans add excursion requests and bookings for IT resources, meeting spaces and classrooms with timetable overlays, plus a fixtures tool for extra-curricular sport: teams and divisions, matches, positions, results and venue directions.
The pastoral care module gives teachers flags and notifications about students' wellbeing needs, customizable terminology, class reporting and NCCD reporting.
Integrations and hosting
The LMS page says Schoolbox connects a school's SIS, cloud tools and mobile environment, with single sign-on, native mobile and PWA app options and integrations with partner tools. The pricing table lists Google apps, Office 365, LTI 1.3 and SIS/SMS integrations, and the menu has a section for Microsoft Education and Google Classroom. The footer names Intellischool, Geosnapshot, Paperly and Turnitin among its partners, and its integration matrix covers student, parent and staff data, class enrollment, timetables, attendance, calendar events, profile photos, assessment integration and pastoral writeback. Schoolbox Cloud hosting appears in the menu, and the home page says the platform runs on modern cloud infrastructure.

The menu also lists guided implementations, technical support and consulting, and the home page promises specialized education consultants whatever the school's region or pedagogy, with multiple product updates a year shaped by schools. What schools say
The site quotes named staff. Rob Bandy, Deputy Principal of Greenfield International School: "The curriculum is fully embedded on Schoolbox. The planning is fully embedded on Schoolbox." Nidean Dickson, Dean of Professional Teaching at Brigidine College, says the support "wasn't just responsive, it was proactive." David Howard, Head of Digital Learning & Practice at Wesley College, reports "a decrease in teacher workload" a couple of years in, and Lee Hole, Principal of Dubai British School Jumeira, says "Schoolbox has played a key role in shaping that reputation" among the school's families. On the LMS page, Alex Maunder of Wesley College says it supports "the inquiry-based nature of the IB program".
Who it suits
Schoolbox suits an independent, IB or multi-campus K-12 school, or a school group, that wants curriculum mapping, teaching, reporting, wellbeing and parent communication in one branded platform, and that values published per-student prices and a named engagement manager. Schools that only need a parent communication portal can buy the Community plans on their own. It is not built for selling courses or for corporate training, and AI usage can add costs on top of the per-student price.
