What Learnademy is
Learnademy is a learning management system from Nairobi, Kenya, built first for schools and learning institutions and then extended to tutors, individual learners, parents and corporate training. Its About text calls it "an all-in-one integrated Learning Management System (LMS)" providing learning solutions "for educators, learners, and parents." The home page frames the product around four strands: school management software, a library of learning resources from partner instructors, a pool of online tutors, and School Finder, a directory of Kenyan schools.
The site's own wording places it firmly in the Kenyan education system. Its events address teachers working in the CBC, IGCSE and Cambridge curricula, its blog covers the Competency-Based Curriculum and the KJSEA registration run by the Kenya National Examinations Council, and the School Finder listings are Kenyan universities and secondary schools sorted by county. For a reader outside Kenya, that context matters more than any single feature: this is a platform shaped around one national school system.
The school management side
The core product for an institution is what the site calls its school management system, which it also calls its LMS. The home page says the system offers tools that let schools and institutions "digitize critical functions including user records, communication, online learning and finance management." In other words, a school can keep its student and staff records, its messaging, its online classes and its fee handling in one place rather than across separate tools.
The interface modules that sit behind the login reflect the same scope. The site loads panels named User Manager, Fees Manager, Manage Subscriptions, Manage APIs, Manage Classes, Manage Courses, Manage Content, Communication and Noticeboard, alongside Join Class and Join Course for learners. Read together, those names describe a school administrator who sets up users and classes, publishes course content, posts notices, tracks fees and subscriptions, and has some form of API access for connecting other systems. The site does not describe the API in more detail.
Learnademy makes one numerical claim about results. The home page says it has "supported school owners and administrators improve efficiency and optimize operations in their institutions by over 70% across various levels of learning." That is the company's own figure, given without a method or a sample size.
The home page also describes the platform as designed "for all learning environments," meaning the same system serves in-person, blended and fully online teaching. Educators, learners and parents, it says, "can collaborate all through the learning cycle through safe and secure dashboards." Parents therefore get their own view of what is happening, which suits schools where fee payment and progress updates both run through the family.
Teaching tools and assessment
The company's blog post on learning management systems in Kenya fills in the classroom features. It says Learnademy "enables teachers to create self-marking and automated assessments, helping teachers save time and effort," and that the system "can be used on any device." The same post lists what it considers essential in a school LMS: content creation and sharing with rich-text editing and multimedia, quizzes, assignments and grade tracking, and the ability for teachers to follow each student's progress and give timely feedback. It also discusses offline access and mobile use for schools with weak connectivity, but presents these as features schools should look for rather than as a description of Learnademy itself.
The blog describes the product as "a leading school management system in Kenya." That is the company's own description of itself.
Tutors and teachers
A separate offer targets independent educators. The home page invites "tutors, teachers, lecturers and coaches" to try a dashboard built for secure "online tutoring and coaching." Tutors run classes that learners join through the platform, and the online tutors section describes its database of educators as "qualified instructors offering quality learning resources."
Learnademy also trains teachers for this work. Its events list has included a free virtual Cohort 2 Training for Online Tutoring aimed at teachers and tutors in the CBC, IGCSE, Cambridge and other curricula, a paid virtual session on classroom pedagogy, technology and inclusion for the modern teacher and a call for certified Trainers of Teachers with experience in competency-based education. A physical event, the Digital Education and Wellness Symposium (DEWS2025), appears on the same list as a paid event.
Learning resources for learners
For students working on their own, the Easy Learn section offers classes that the home page calls "affordable" and "self-paced," built with partner instructors. The classes on show mix free and paid entries and follow Kenyan school levels: a free Class 8 class run by Learnademy, a paid Form 3 class from tutor Minneh Wangui, a free class for persons with disabilities, and a paid Grade 8 class from tutor Dennis Oloo. Learners sign up with an email address and join a class from its page.
The wider site also carries a job board, an events calendar, a resources section and a section called Edu Games, so learners and teachers can use it for more than coursework.
School Finder
School Finder is Learnademy's directory of schools, which the home page calls "the No. 1 Online Schools Directory." Each listing carries a short description, a location by county and the education levels the school offers. Examples on the home page include the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton in Nandi County, Egerton University in Nakuru County, Alliance High School in Kiambu County and the International School of Kenya in Nairobi County, the last tagged from kindergarten and nursery through secondary. For schools, the pitch is visibility: the site says School Finder helps "enhance the digital footprint and visibility for your school or learning institution."
Corporate learning
The corporate offer sits under the home page's Solutions For Business heading, next to learning institutions, teachers and tutors, and School Finder. It promises "corporate training tools with analytics for data-driven decision-making and improved learning outcomes."
Pricing and contact
The site publishes no prices for the school system, the tutor dashboard or corporate training; schools and organizations reach the company through its contact page, by phone or by email. Learnademy lists Nairobi as its location and offers sign-up and login for every role from the home page.
Who it suits
Learnademy fits a Kenyan private or public school that wants one system for records, fees, communication and online classes, with parents able to follow along. It also suits a Kenyan tutor who wants a ready dashboard for paid or free online classes and an audience that already uses the platform, and families looking for a school through School Finder. A school outside Kenya, or a company that needs a full corporate training suite with detailed reporting, will find the platform's content, events and directory built around the Kenyan system, and fewer details on the corporate side than on the school side.
