COURSEMOS is the learning platform of Ubion, an education technology company in Seoul, and it is built for universities, colleges and large organizations that run their own learning management system. Ubion describes it as "a Learning Experience Platform(LXP) that accumulates various experiences and data of learners", and says it "has evolved to fit the cultural and educational environment based on the most widely used open source in the world." The company's stated aim is "an open education and harmonious and colorful e-learning ecosystem that anyone can enjoy."
COURSEMOS has three product lines: a Learning Management System, a Student Experience Management System, and an Artificial Intelligence-based Internet Based Test. Ubion says these are "being supplied to domestic and foreign universities and institutions." The company lists its office as DaeryungpostⅢ 6F, 34Gil 27, Digital-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul, 08378 Republic of Korea.
What an institution gets
Learning models. COURSEMOS supports fully online courses, blended courses that mix online and offline teaching, and offline courses, and it is designed for teaching methods such as cooperative learning, discussion and the flipped classroom, to help interaction between learners and between learners and instructors.
Course design. Courses can be organized by week or by topic. The Coursemos solution page calls its course builder a "Floating UI", in which tools and learning resources are allocated and connected to fit the teaching model. The tools it names are wiki, team project, cooperative assignment, interactive evaluation, discussion and survey. The content types are documents, links, video, authoring-tool output and packaged content. The page also lists feedback tools and multiple evaluation tools.
Cooperative learning. Team projects can be managed inside the course, with a range of activities to support team work.
Files and viewers. Instructors upload all kinds of normal and video files by drag and drop, with external storage support. Learners open them in a document viewer, a video viewer, a non-standard contents viewer and a viewer for standard content.
Basic academic functions. The product page stresses functions such as "Academic Warning and Enforcement Functions, Progress Management, Statistics, Intuitive Dashboard, and Super compatibility."
Personalization. Each user has a dashboard, schedule and task management, theme changes and a language setting.
Mobile. Ubion provides iOS and Android apps with real-time messaging and notices, course registration and attendance management.
Administration and integration. The system side covers system monitoring, learning and operation statistics, integration with the institution's learning administrative system and existing systems, single sign-on, and cooperation with specialized companies. The Coursemos page says the design "has accepted users' feedback as well as a new idea."
Standards and technical environment
Ubion's LMS page says it builds "a system-compatible environment in compliance with global industry and information technology standards", naming "Global education industry standards such as IMS Global and ADL SCORM, and information technology standards such as Web standards and SQL security standards." The aim it gives is a "system-to-system compatible and content-compatible environment."
Supported devices are PCs, tablet PCs and mobile phones. On PCs the page lists Windows, MacOS and Linux; on mobile it lists iOS, Android and Windows. The browser line reads "Above Microsoft Edge, Firefox 5, Chorme 17, Safari 5, Opera9". The interface follows HTML5 web standards and uses responsive layouts so the same screens adapt to each device.
The roadmap
Under "The Future of Coursemos", Ubion says the platform will expand along three lines, platforms, content and tools. It plans to combine the platform and content with metaverse technology and to add AI-based tools for learners and instructors, and says all the information collected on these platforms will be integrated "to support institutional decision-making and personalized learning". The AI-based internet test is already one of the three product lines.

Overseas work. Ubion runs an overseas business that installs learning management systems in developing countries, explaining that "the average completion period of school education in countries classified as developed countries is 12 years, the developing countries are only 6.5 years."
Pricing. The site publishes no prices; COURSEMOS is delivered as an institutional system and infrastructure project.
Ubion's other education services. Separately from COURSEMOS, Ubion runs its own e-learning services in Korea, including a platform for finance, management, accounting and employment education, a credit bank program it says is approved by the Ministry of Education, and corporate cyber training centers. Those are courses Ubion sells, not features of the COURSEMOS platform.
Who it suits
COURSEMOS suits a university or college that wants an institution-wide LMS with academic warnings, progress management, team projects, attendance and course registration on mobile, and integration with its student administration system and SSO. Institutions that care about open foundations and IMS Global or ADL SCORM content compatibility will find those named on the pages. Large organizations and government agencies running staff training, and education ministries or universities abroad planning a national or campus-wide system, are also on its customer list.
It does not suit an individual creator or a small team looking for a hosted course storefront: COURSEMOS is deployed as an institutional project, built and integrated with Ubion.
