What Clast.io is
Clast.io is an education management platform for schools, academies, language institutes, colleges and universities: a school LMS and a student information system sold as one product, with admissions, staff, finance, library and communication modules around them. The homepage calls it "A Unified Operating System for Schools" and an "all-in-one Education Management System and ERP", and the site's footer signs off with "The AI Operating System for Education". The reader it serves is the institution itself, meaning the principal, the academic coordinator, the finance office and the teachers who run classes on it, rather than an individual course creator selling to the public.
The pitch is consolidation. Clast.io's own blog describes the institutions that move to it as previously "managing five or six separate tools a gradebook here, an attendance tracker there, a communication platform somewhere else", and the product is built to replace that stack with one system and one record per person.
The academic side: the LMS
The homepage groups the product into pillars. The first, Academic and Student Lifecycle Management, covers curriculum, classes, attendance, assessments and academic records, "all in one unified Learning Management System (LMS) designed to match your institution's workflows." Teachers plan lessons, manage assignments, track attendance, update grades and look at performance analytics from their own dashboard.
Clast.io's blog post ranking LMS platforms for academies lists its own key features in more detail: curriculum and class management with real-time attendance tracking; assessments, assignments and digital report cards; a student information system fully integrated with the LMS; role-based dashboards for administrators, teachers, students and parents; and multi-campus support with centralized reporting. A second post on school management software adds built-in assessments, grading and performance analytics, centralized student records and profile management, and real-time attendance tracking with automated parent alerts.
Students get a portal for course materials, assignment submission, grades and their academic record. Parents and guardians get their own view of progress and assignments and can message teachers. For live teaching, the homepage's integration list names Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams under "Learning Tools", so live classes run through those services rather than a built-in video room.
The administrative side: SIS, admissions, HR and finance
The second pillar is Admissions and Enrollment Optimization, which the homepage describes as streamlining "inquiries, applications, approvals, and enrollments with Student Information System (SIS)". The academies post adds admissions management with lead tracking and enrollment workflows, so an admissions officer can follow a prospective student from first inquiry to enrolled.
Staff, HR and Performance Management tracks staff attendance, schedules, roles and professional development. Finance and Operations Management covers fees, expenses, payroll and institutional finances "with real-time oversight and customizable reporting", which the site markets under the phrase Education ERP Software. Library and Resource Management gives dedicated dashboards for the library, reception and daily operations. Smart Resource Management lets departments plan, assign and track academic, administrative and operational tasks with clear ownership and progress tracking.
Roles, dashboards and the single profile
Much of the homepage is about who sees what. Its "How Clast works for your institution" section names the roles it serves: Super Admin, Branch Manager, Academic Coordinator, Finance Manager, HR Manager, Grant Manager, Receptionist, Admission Officer, Librarian, Teacher, Student, Parents/Guardian and General Staff. The product ships with pre-defined role-based dashboards for administration, academics, finance, HR, library, reception and operations, with "clear access boundaries for principals, coordinators, teachers, staff, parents, and students". The site frames this as a governance feature: designed, it says, "to reduce confusion, improve accountability, and support governance."
Branch Manager in that list matters for groups of schools. The homepage describes Clast.io as "a multi-tenant, multi-system, and cloud-based solution" that scales "from local campuses to global institutions", and the academies post lists multi-campus support with centralized reporting.
Every individual has one institutional profile. Academic records, documents and history sit in one place, a person can hold several roles at once, and continuity is kept "across years, programs, and responsibilities". For a school where a teacher is also a parent, or a student later becomes staff, that avoids duplicate accounts.
Communication and notifications
Role-Based Communication is secure, role-aware messaging between administrators, teachers, staff, parents and students. Automated Notifications and Alerts send attendance alerts, fee reminders and academic updates as in-app notifications, by email or over WhatsApp. For a school that currently sends fee reminders by hand, this is one of the more concrete time savers on the list.
AI features
The site markets itself as AI-powered, and the meta description calls Clast.io "an AI-powered ERP platform to improve student tracking, lesson planning, and school administration". The company's own blog posts name the features: AI-powered timetable generation, workflow automation and predictive analytics in the academies post, and AI-powered student progress monitoring in the school management post, described as "early-alert flags for grade and attendance trends before they become crises". The footer links to an AI Transparency page alongside the privacy policy, terms and a Data Security page.
Integrations
The homepage lists its popular integrations by group:
- Communication: WhatsApp, Email Systems, SMS Gateways
- Payments: Stripe, PayPal, Local Banking Systems
- Learning Tools: Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
- Productivity: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365
The payment group is what lets a school collect fees online through the finance module. The school management post is candid that the wider ecosystem is still small: as a newer platform, its "ecosystem of third-party marketplace integrations is still growing", and the academies post notes that "some highly niche modules may require third-party integrations."
Pricing, free tier and getting started
The homepage offers "Get started free. No credit card required." alongside a demo request and a "Book a call" button. The school management post gives the price as "Starts from $0 (free tier available)" and says the free tier "is built specifically for this kind of no-risk evaluation start free and test it against your own data before talking to sales." The same post recommends piloting any school system in one department before committing, with real attendance data, a sample report card and a few teachers on the gradebook.
Above the free tier, the academies post describes paid pricing as "Flat-rate, transparent" and says all plans include the full feature suite, AI tools and priority support, pointing to a separate pricing page. The pages read here print no figures for the paid plans.
Resources linked from every page include Documentation, a Help Center, a Live Demo and a System Status page, and the Solutions menu has separate pages for language institutes, schools, colleges and universities.
What the company says about itself
Both blog posts rank Clast.io first in their own lists, which is the company reviewing its own product, so read them as marketing. Some of their claims are still useful because they are self-critical: the academies post lists as a con that Clast.io is a "newer brand than legacy competitors, so a smaller existing user base". The school management post claims schools "consistently highlight how quickly their admin teams adapted" and that training time is minimal for non-technical staff. The homepage says the platform is used across multiple countries by students, educators and institutions, without naming them.
Who Clast.io fits
Clast.io suits a school, academy, language institute or small college that runs its gradebook, attendance, admissions, fees and parent messaging in separate tools and wants them in one system with one profile per person. Groups with several campuses get the branch manager role and centralized reporting. Schools that already message parents on WhatsApp and take payments through Stripe or PayPal will find those named on the integration list.
It fits less well where an institution depends on a broad marketplace of third-party add-ons, which the company itself says is still growing, or where a buyer needs a published paid price before starting. The free tier is the route the company recommends: set it up with the school's own data first, then talk to sales.
