What Classter is

Classter is a cloud-based student and learning management system for schools, colleges, academies and training centers. Its homepage calls it "The All-in-One Operating System for Educational Institutions" and sums up the pitch as "One System. One Login. Total Control." The FAQ describes it as "an end-to-end Student & Learning Management System for any organization that offers educational or training services," and says it "combines the functionality of 5 different types of solutions: SIS, SMS, LMS, ERP, and CRM in 12 Modules."

The argument is consolidation. The homepage invites institutions to "Replace your tangled web of spreadsheets, legacy software, and isolated apps with a single, cloud-based ecosystem designed for K12, Higher Ed, and Academies," and the FAQ says Classter lets a school "get rid of your fragmented IT infrastructure." The company's solution pages cover K12 schools, higher education, academies and training centers, seminary education, school districts and corporate learning, and the homepage tells each of them to "Activate only the modules that fit your specific academic structure." The site's copyright line names Vertitech, and its menu includes a "10 Years of Classter" page under Company.

The modules

The product menu lists the modules a school can switch on: Core, Academic CRM, Academics & LMS, Admissions, Billing & Payments, College, Surveys & Quizzes, Internship & Thesis, Library, Transportation Management, Signatures, Protocols, HR and Agents, plus a Mobile App and an Integrations & API section. The functionality pages group them as a student information system, a school management system, a learning management system, a CRM for educational institutions and an ERP for educational institutions.

The homepage describes five areas in plain terms:

  • Recruitment & Admissions. "Automate your enrollment pipeline with customizable paperless applications and real-time status tracking."
  • Academic Management. "Manage the entire learning process from curriculum planning to final report cards."
  • Financial Management. "Streamline billing cycles with automated invoicing and integrated online payment gateways."
  • Student Services. "Handle all extracurricular logistics without leaving the platform."
  • Alumni & Careers. Keeping graduates "connected to your institution's community."

The benefits menu adds the jobs a school office and its teachers do every week: admissions and registrations, billing and payments, student attendance, gradebook and assessments, student engagement and hybrid learning. On the learning side, the company's own blog says Classter automates "essential tasks, including grading and attendance tracking," and describes it as a mobile-friendly system that lets users "engage with learning materials on the go." Quizzes and surveys have their own module, and the Internship & Thesis module covers the placement and dissertation work that colleges and vocational programs run.

Portals for every role

Much of Classter is organized around portals, each a dashboard for one group of people. The homepage headline for this section is "The Right Data for the Right Person, Instantly."

  • Student Portal. Students "access info on classes, homework, grades, and attendance."
  • Parent Portal. Parents "stay updated with academic calendars, schedule meetings with teachers, and manage tuition payments."
  • Educator Portal. Educators "plan lessons, track attendance, update grades, and get real-time student performance info."
  • Employee Portal. Staff "manage admin tasks, communicate with students and parents, handle enrollments and assignments, and organize the school timetable."
  • Applicant Portal. Admission officers "set up custom portals for handling applications, whether for students or parents applying for their kids."
  • Agent Portal. External representatives get "secure access to manage leads, track application status, view commissions, and communicate with staff," which matters to colleges that recruit through agents.
  • Employer/Partner Portal. Companies "create profiles and offer internships to students."
  • Alumni Portal. Graduates "stay connected with their school, build a strong network, and support the student community."

For a school, this means one record per student that the office, the teacher, the parent and later the alumni team all see from their own angle, rather than several systems that have to be kept in step.

Integrations, AI and documentation

The homepage says "Classter is Integrated with 40+ Tools" and names "Office 365, Moodle, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Hubspot and many more." For anything else it points to "Classter's API that makes linking with your current tools a breeze." A school that already teaches in Moodle or runs classes over Teams or Zoom can therefore keep those tools and connect them to the student record.

The blog announces Epicurus, which it calls "Classter's new AI assistant," and a rebuilt documentation set that it calls "One Source for Everything You Need to Know." It also describes an Early Warning System that builds one list of students at risk "From Your School's Own Rules," with marks and attendance as the signals.

Pricing, billing, security and support

The site does not print prices. The homepage button reads "ASK FOR PRICING," and the company's blog says "Classter offers customized pricing tailored to the specific requirements and size of your institution, with their team prepared to provide personalized quotes." The FAQ explains the billing cycle: customers choose "between an annual and bi-annual billing plan," and those who pick the bi-annual option are billed every two years and "can benefit from a discount of up to 20% on your total fees."

On security, the FAQ says Classter "provides a reliable centralized cloud-based environment for storing and accessing students' and faculty data, with the security of MS Azure infrastructure," and that it "uses Azure Backup to provide clients with secure and reliable backup and disaster recovery solutions." A blog post states that "Classter ensures compliance with GDPR through a secure data management environment."

Moving in is handled by the company. The FAQ answers "Is it difficult to migrate to Classter?" with "It's very simple. Our onboarding team specializes in complex data migration. We map your historical data to the new system, ensuring nothing gets lost in the move." The services menu lists audits, installation, migration, hosting, training and support, and the resources include a knowledge base, webinars, case studies, e-books and a changelog. The website itself is offered in English, Italian, Greek, French, German, Spanish and Arabic.

On fit, the FAQ says "Classter is not a rigid box. It is highly configurable to match specific grading systems, curricula, and billing cycles unique to your organization."

What customers say

The homepage shows a "98% User Satisfaction Rating" and says "Join 500+ Educational Institutions Worldwide." Its case studies come from Bahrain, the USA, Malta, Ireland, Cyprus, Mexico, Costa Rica and Germany, across colleges, a seminary, training centers and a K12 school. The testimonials are short and specific. Petros E. of AAN calls it "A complete Student Management Information System at a competitive price and excellent support." Savka B. of GITA writes that "The multiple third-party integrations are very useful and make the implementation process very easy and secure." John Hughes of TMAI says "We needed a cloud-based SIS that would allow us to have centralized management of our student data in 12 different countries." Mariella Coto of UCreativa notes that her university "required many hours of work between the teams of both organizations," and that "the availability of the Classter team was exceptional."

Who it suits

Classter suits institutions that run admissions, academics, billing and alumni relations as separate systems today and want them on one record: private K12 schools, colleges and universities, academies and training centers, seminaries, multi-school districts and corporate learning teams. Colleges that recruit through agents, place students in internships or supervise theses get dedicated modules for that work, and an institution operating in several countries has the TMAI testimonial as a reference point.

The caveats come from the product's breadth. A configurable, modular system takes setup work, and the UCreativa testimonial is candid that a complex university needed many hours of joint work. A small tutoring business that only wants to host a few online courses will use a fraction of it. Pricing comes as a quote, so budgeting starts with a demo, which the site offers through its "SEE IT LIVE" and "BOOK A DEMO" buttons.
