What ClassReach is

ClassReach is web-based school management software for private K-12 schools, with a learning management system built into the same product. Its homepage calls it "an easy-to-use, web-based School Management Software" and sums up the scope as "From Application to Graduation." The company says it equips "both private & trade schools with a diverse set of configurable tools that maximize efficiency," and that the product was "Designed with educators' input."

The origin story is short and practical: "We began in an effort to consolidate many software systems and administrative tasks into one powerful, intuitive, and mobile solution that could do everything in one place". The company adds that it pairs school management tools "with leading SIS features." Its stated vision is to build bridges in education with tools that connect parents, students and teachers to their data. The site lists a mailing address in Camano, WA and a second address in Moscow, ID.

For a small private school, the pitch is one login for the office, the classroom and the family, rather than a separate student information system, gradebook and parent app.

The learning management side

The LMS page frames the goal plainly: "ClassReach's LMS makes it easy to plan lessons, manage assignments, track grades and attendance, and keep guardians connected to student progress." It names six features as the most popular: attendance tracking, homework assignment, teacher tools, lesson planning tools, gradebook software and classroom discussions.

Gradebook. The built-in gradebook lets teachers "enter grades, track performance, calculate weighted averages, and keep guardians informed." Because grades sit in the same system as homework, the homework feature includes "Automatic grade-book creation."

Homework. Assignments run through the platform, with assignment messaging between teacher and student, a student submissions button, and guardian access. The site says homework lets students "review grades from online courses" and gives parents "a chance to see their child's growth over the semester."

Lesson plans. Teachers can lay out "a structured and organized schedule for online courses" and give guardians and students "a simple view of day-to-day learning content." The listed uses are organizing course content, updating parents, motivating students and encouraging communication.

Attendance. The attendance module offers flexible attendance settings, guardian accessibility tools and student information auto-fill. The FAQ notes that many users log in on phones, which is "especially useful for teachers taking attendance and grades during class time."

Discussions. The discussion feature gives schools "a new avenue for communication within a blended learning environment or during online learning." Teachers can create classroom events, post questions, and have students interact and reflect on assigned learning content.

Teacher tools and the Data Copier. The Data Copier is the time saver for teachers who run the same course in several sections or year after year. It lets them "configure and transfer" handouts, lesson plans, course resources, and agenda and task items, so a section can be set up from existing material instead of from scratch.

Guardian access. The company singles this out as "One of the standout features of the ClassReach LMS." Guardians can follow their student's "educational progress, assignments, and performance." For private schools where families expect regular updates, this is the feature that ties the LMS to the rest of the product.

The school management side

The LMS is one part of a wider system. The site's menu lists the other modules: communication tools, user logins, a forms creator, student information, tuition invoicing, a transcript creator, a report creator and analytics. The homepage says schools use ClassReach to streamline admissions, enrollment and financial management, and to keep communication and organization in one place. For a school office, that means applications, enrollment records, tuition bills, transcripts and reports live in the same database the teachers use, which is the point of the "Application to Graduation" line. The homepage says the product lets "schools of all types and sizes" manage their data across any device, and the company's blog offers practical tips and free downloadable resources on running a school.

Access, setup and support

ClassReach is a web application rather than an installed program. The FAQ explains: "ClassReach is a website application with a highly responsive mobile design. This means you can access our full site from any device anywhere with an internet connection. There is no app download required!" A separate downloadable app exists for notifications; it "provides easy access to your data and links you to the full website application."

Setup is handled with the school. The FAQ says "Our support professionals work hand in hand with each school to ensure that your data is migrated properly and your software is configured to meet your school's unique design." How long it takes depends on factors such as the age of the school and the administrator's familiarity with education technology, and the sales team gives each school a timeline.

Schools can try the product first. The homepage offers "Exclusive 30-day access," "Unrestricted user portal accessibility" and "Configurable tools and features," and a virtual demo account covers the gradebook, attendance, course discussions, teacher tools, lesson plans and homework. Support runs through a knowledge base and a ticket submission form, and the menu also lists a Premium Support option and a sales phone line and e-mail.

On price, the homepage says ClassReach is "Powerful, Intuitive, Mobile, and available at an affordable price." The site keeps its plans and a price comparison on separate Pricing & Plans pages, and the homepage and LMS page print no figures, so a school gets its number from those pages or from the sales team.

The company lists its core values on the homepage, including "Agile Development: providing frequent, consistent updates to create a powerful, reliable solution" and "Transparency: saying what we mean and following through on time, with integrity."

Who it suits

ClassReach suits private K-12 schools and trade schools that want their office work and classroom work in one web-based system, and that want parents to see grades, homework and attendance without a separate app. Teachers who repeat courses across sections get real time back from the Data Copier, and the gradebook, homework and attendance tools cover the daily core of a classroom.

It is built for schools, not for universities, corporate training teams or independent course sellers, and the LMS centers on homework, grading and discussion rather than self-paced course building or video hosting. Schools that need a fully self-paced online course catalog will want to look at that side closely in the demo.
