SecondBody is an AI sales roleplay and coaching platform for field sales teams, sold to companies that want reps to practice hard conversations between visits rather than at a desk. Its AI coach, Rory, reaches reps over WhatsApp, the phone and the browser. The company is SecondBody Inc., and its own guide to sales training software lists the product as founded in 2023. The homepage puts the premise this way: "Generic sales enablement trains reps at a desk. Field sales is decided in the room, so the room is what we train for."
The design choice that runs through every page is delivery. "Reps won't open another app. So Rory doesn't live in one." Instead of a learning portal, the coach comes to the rep, and the company argues that this is what turns practice into a daily habit. Its guide says it plainly: "Adoption is the whole game."
How Rory coaches a rep
The company's guide says Rory "calls reps on WhatsApp twice a day: a morning warm-up and an end-of-day debrief." It lists the moments this is meant to fill: "Before the first dial. In a car between clinic visits. Ten minutes before discovery." The same guide puts the recommended time at five to ten minutes a day, with frequency mattering more than duration, plus on-demand practice before a big call.
The homepage breaks the product into four parts:
- Conversation practice. Reps rehearse the hard visits: "The skeptical cardiologist. The procurement freeze. The competitor jab." They practice with Rory until the answer comes without thinking.
- Pre-visit prep. "The 10 minutes in the parking lot decide the visit." Rory drills the specific buyer, their last objection and the opening line, voice first. The homepage adds that Rory preps every visit with context from the team's CRM and remembers it all.
- Conversation scoring. "Every practice gets scored, right away." Rory scores every run against the team's playbook and its compliance lines, and reps see what to fix on the drive home.
- Team heatmap. Managers see "who's practicing, who's coasting, and which objection is quietly killing deals in which territory." The company's line is that the forecast tells you in month three and the heatmap tells you in week one.
Practice is spoken from the first minute. The guide argues that muscle memory depends on the medium, so a rep who only practiced typing has not practiced calling. Scoring is methodology aware: grading maps to SPIN, MEDDIC and Sandler, and on team plans Rory is custom-trained on the team's playbook, objection library and uploaded sales calls. The guide says Rory coaches in 12+ languages.
For regulated selling, the homepage pairs compliance with practice under the heading "Every word on-label. Every rep audited." It names pharma and medtech among its field sales markets, and Rory scores against the team's compliance lines as well as its playbook.
What managers and enablement teams get
The homepage describes the same platform doing three jobs. Field sellers get a safe place to get things wrong before a buyer hears it. Managers who have repeated the same point on six ride-alongs can say it to Rory once, have him drill it all week, and watch the heatmap show who moved. Enablement teams see which behaviors from a kickoff actually stuck on the road, rep by rep and week by week.
The guide adds pre-1:1 manager briefings, which tell a manager which reps to coach this week, which skills they are avoiding and what feedback they need. The company says one manager can coach 20 or 30 reps this way. The comparison page lists a three-tier view of coaching (overview, methodology metrics and quality dimensions) and best-practice sharing, where top responses are surfaced for peers to listen to.
Practice is gamified. The guide lists streaks, team challenges and weekly quests, and the comparison page adds leaderboards and a VS Mode. The guide says teams using streaks practice 3 to 4x more than teams that don't.
The product menu also lists Rory Assistant, Rory Agents, Rory Roleplay, a Field Seller Assistant and Creator AI, with solution pages for field sellers, revenue leadership, manufacturing, healthcare and medical, finance, revenue operations and channel selling.
Pricing and setup
SecondBody publishes a price, which the guide calls out as unusual in its category. It lists "$75 a month or $750 a year, including 120 minutes of roleplay and 60 minutes of coaching with Rory," with the annual price described as two months free and custom packages for teams and enterprise. The comparison page describes the pricing model as "Usage-based. Scales with actual practice, not headcount."
Setup is managed. The comparison page says scenarios, personas and methodology mapping are "handled by SecondBody team" and gives the timeline as "Live in 2 weeks." The same page says the product is "live in days, not months," needs no dedicated admin, and asks for "No multi-year contract before you've seen whether the reps will use it," with a 30-day report to show whether it is working. The demo is offered as a 20-minute session on the comparison page; the homepage asks visitors to book 15 minutes and bring their hardest objection.
Integrations and security
The homepage menu lists integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Slack and Gong, and says the product "plugs into the stack you already run." The company's guide is more careful about the CRM side: it says native Salesforce and HubSpot integrations ship in 2026, and that today SecondBody connects to Aircall, Cloudtalk, Momentum.io, Fathom and TeamTailor. The comparison page likewise calls its CRM integrations lighter, with deeper connections coming.
On security, the homepage states "SOC 2 compliant" and links a Trust Center. The guide lists SOC 2 Type II, enterprise SSO, custom data retention and a dedicated customer success manager on team plans.
Customers and results
The homepage says "100+ field sales teams have put in 605,370+ hours of practice on SecondBody," and the guide says Rory has delivered over one million minutes of coaching. The homepage claims 67% faster ramp for new reps. The comparison page, drawing on what it calls observed deployments in medical device, pharma and enterprise field sales, cites a 60% faster ramp (from 8 weeks to 3), a 341% improvement in objection handling over 4 weeks and 15+ manager hours saved per week. It also describes one medical sales deployment where 155 field reps produced 13,000+ recorded practice responses in 5 weeks, or 256 hours of structured training, without manager enforcement.
Named customers on the homepage include Cyera, GBUK Group, Allwyn, BMS Performance, ParkingEye and Rentokil. Mike B., Head of Sales Development at GBUK Group, in medical devices, says "Our reps sharpen their message and handle pushback before real clinicians." Darren H. of ParkingEye says "Even in a quiet month, a huge lift in meetings booked and conversion." Dawn C., a Regional Sales Manager at Allwyn, says "A safe space to practice means reps walk into live conversations prepared." The guide calls Cyera its most visible named customer and says references are offered during an evaluation.
The company is also frank about limits. Its guide warns that reps who follow the AI blindly sound like chatbots, and that a team should not deploy before it has defined what good looks like, because "AI amplifies your process."
Who SecondBody suits
SecondBody fits field sales teams in pharma, medtech, financial services and similar industries, where reps spend the day driving between visits and a portal-based tool goes unused. It suits managers who want a short daily practice habit and a heatmap of who is improving, and teams that want a published starting price and a managed setup rather than a long implementation.
It is not a course platform. There is no course catalog to assign, and teams that need structured learning content alongside practice would keep a separate learning system for that. A team without a clear playbook gets less from it, since scoring is built on the team's own standard.
