What FormaçãOnline is
FormaçãOnline is a Portuguese-language e-learning academy selling certified professional training online, to individuals and to companies that need to train their staff. The home page states that "Toda a oferta formativa é certificada pela DGERT" (all training on offer is certified by DGERT), and the course pages explain that FormaçãOnline is a certified training entity, recognized by DGERT as having the technical and organizational resources to run training in the areas it covers. Its offer splits into continuing-education courses (Formação Contínua), advanced courses (Formações Avançadas), post-university specializations (Especializações Pós-Universitárias), training for companies, and a section of free content that visitors can try before buying.
The catalog
The category list prints how many courses sit in each area, and it is a sizeable catalog. Formação Contínua holds 194 courses. By subject, personal development is the largest area with 53, followed by management and administration (43), health and wellbeing (31), environment (26), quality (24), marketing and advertising (21) and business management and strategy (20). Workplace health and safety has 18; commercial management and food safety 17 each; accounting and finance, green economy and sustainability, and nutrition 16 each; gerontology and geriatrics, psychology and human resources 14 each; secretarial and administrative work 12; coaching and tourism, hospitality and catering 11 each; communication and foreign languages 10 each; and beauty and fashion and education 8 each. There are 17 advanced courses and 17 post-university specializations, plus gift vouchers. A duration filter sorts courses into 10 to 20, 20 to 30 and 30 to 50 hours of workload.
Featured courses on the home page include secretarial and administrative management, accounting fundamentals, archiving and document management, and sales techniques. The coaching category alone covers conflict management, relationship coaching, personal coaching, sales coaching, childhood coaching, an introduction to coaching and neuro-linguistic programming, organizational coaching and team development, parental coaching, financial coaching, coaching for trainers and educators, and senior coaching. Testimonials mention other titles such as food microbiology, digital marketing, electrical risks, project management and life-cycle assessment, which shows how wide the subject range runs.

How a course works
The Coaching Parental page shows the format in detail. It costs € 129.90, carries a workload of 24 hours and lists its next class as starting on 07/10/2026; learners who want to start at once are invited to get in touch. Each course runs 100% online "tendo uma duração de 30 dias de calendário" (lasting 30 calendar days) and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The learner decides when to study, at any hour, at weekends or on holidays, and only has to finish by the last day of the course.
Courses are organized in units with knowledge checks that build the final grade, and the site describes this as a continuous line of learning done at the learner's own pace. Learners study with interactive multimedia material, and a supporting library, which the site says keeps growing, may include articles, videos, audio, links and books, with some materials available to download and save or print. Every course has an e-tutor (e-formador) who answers questions at any time during the course, with one exception the site names: the self-study version of its dermocosmetics course.
The Coaching Parental syllabus gives a sense of depth. Its six modules cover what parental coaching is and how it differs from mentoring and counseling, tools such as the wheel of life and powerful questions, the parent and child relationship, parenting styles, family patterns and positive feedback, and practical coaching methods including emotional intelligence, rapport and active listening.
Certificates and requirements
The assessment rules are stated plainly. The final grade comes from the tests, and passing requires a final score of at least 10 on a scale of 0 to 20. A pass earns a Certificado de Formação Profissional (professional training certificate), issued according to the legal requirements in force and made available in the learner's area of the site after the course ends. No prior knowledge is needed for the example course. Learners need a computer with a stable internet connection and a browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer; nothing has to be installed, and login uses the e-mail and password created at enrollment.
Training for companies
The company page is aimed at employers meeting Portugal's training obligations. It says the Código do Trabalho requires companies to give 40 hours of training a year to their employees, and that each year the employer must provide professional training to at least 10% of its workforce; workers on fixed-term contracts of 3 months or more are entitled to hours in proportion to the contract. FormaçãOnline's pitch is that a company can pick one course for everyone or different courses by role, schedule training around each employee's availability, and avoid renting rooms, hiring trainers or pulling staff off the job. It highlights courses of 40 or more hours for that reason, offers special conditions on bundles of courses, explains the IEFP's ATIVAR.PT hiring incentive, and shows logos of private and public-sector clients.
What learners say
The testimonials are specific. Ana Santos, who took the digital marketing course, wrote that "a plataforma e-learning e bastante intuitiva" (the e-learning platform is very intuitive). Cátia Rosa, after a food safety management course, called it "a mais completa que tive até hoje e a mais enriquecedora a nível de conhecimentos" (the most complete I have had so far and the most enriching in knowledge). Carlos Faria, on project management, valued that the format "possibilita a aprendizagem quando queremos durante o tempo da formação" (allows learning whenever we want during the course period).
Who it suits
FormaçãOnline suits Portuguese-speaking professionals who want short, certified courses that fit around work, parents and educators drawn to its coaching range, graduates considering a post-university specialization, and HR teams that need to document annual training hours for staff. Support is available through WhatsApp, a landline and a mobile number, plus a contact form and FAQ. The 30-day course window and the asynchronous e-tutor model work best for learners who can pace themselves without live classes.
