What EVOLUI is

EVOLUI is a Portuguese-language site of certified online training courses for working adults. Its home page welcomes visitors to "o seu site de formação certificada pela DGERT com mais de 400 cursos totalmente online e em português" (your site for DGERT-certified training, with more than 400 courses fully online and in Portuguese). The footer names the company behind it as Cação e Melo, Consultores de Gestão, Lda. Learners buy one course at a time, join a dated session, and work through it on their own schedule with a trainer available in a discussion forum. Those who meet the assessment requirements receive a professional training certificate issued through the Portuguese state's SIGO system.

The model sits between a self-paced video library and a classroom course. Each course has a start date, a fixed end date and a named trainer, but no live classes. That structure gives learners a deadline and someone to ask, while still letting them study at night, at weekends or on public holidays.

The catalog

The site groups its courses into training areas: communication, marketing and sales; beauty care, health and wellbeing; law and citizenship; education and pedagogy; human resources management; management and business; financial management and accounting; food industries; childhood and parenting; foreign languages; social projects; psychology and therapies; quality, environment and safety; secretarial work and documentation; soft skills and personal development; technology and IT; and tourism and hospitality. Alongside single courses it sells specialization courses (Cursos de Especialização) that group related training.

The home page shows the range of current sessions. Titles starting at the end of September and early October include data analysis with storytelling, copywriting, conflict mediation, practical translation techniques and tools, restaurant and bar technician (level II), quality management tools applying QFD and FMEA, food hygiene and safety in the meat sector, intervention in domestic violence, cultural programming and production, tourism in low-density territories, makeup techniques, and active wellbeing and leisure for seniors. That mix of soft skills, vocational trades and social-care topics is typical of the catalog, which makes it useful as a broad workplace skills library as well as a source of certified training hours.

Prices

Each course is sold individually at a price printed on its card. On the home page, Turismo em Territórios de Baixa Densidade costs €39,90, Bem-Estar e Lazer Ativo para Seniores €47,92, Análise de Dados com Narrativa and Técnicas Práticas e Ferramentas de Tradução €59,90 each, Intervenção na Violência Doméstica €63,92, the meat-sector food hygiene course €64,00, Programação e Produção Cultural €69,90, Copywriting, Mediação de Conflitos and Técnico de Restaurante e Bar €89,90 each, and Técnicas de Maquilhagem €119,90. The footer also lists training vouchers (Vouchers de Formação) and the site's service conditions.

How a course works

The course page for Programação e Produção Cultural sets out how every session runs. Lessons are released in the learner's member area every two days, and each lesson stays open from the day it appears until the last day of training. The course ends 5 days after the final lesson is released. Each lesson takes an estimated 2 hours on average, and the page says the lessons follow "standards internacionais de e-learning" (international e-learning standards). Learners can pause a lesson at any moment, resume later and repeat each lesson as many times as they like; the only restriction is finishing by the last day of training. At the end of each lesson some training materials can be downloaded to save or print.

Support comes from the trainer, who answers questions in a discussion forum at any time during the course. The same forum hosts the debates that count toward assessment.

The example course runs 12 lessons and 19 hours, is marked "100% assíncrono" (100% asynchronous) and "Formação certificada", and lists its upcoming sessions: 1 to 30 October 2026, 19 October to 17 November, 6 November to 5 December, and 24 November to 23 December. Its trainer is named on the page as Alexandra Vieira dos Santos. The syllabus covers what cultural programming is and how it differs from cultural management, principles and challenges such as citizen participation and funding, scheduling with SMART and Gantt methods, handling delays and overlapping dates, managing people and material resources, pre-production including the licenses needed for a cultural production in Portugal, production, presentation, data analysis with a SWOT review and final report, and a closing case-study module. The page lists who it is for: business owners, managers, event organizers, tourism professionals, tour guides, cultural managers, municipal staff, and museum and cultural institution workers.

Certificates

The certificate rules are specific. A learner receives a Certificado de Formação Profissional (professional training certificate) after completing at least 50% of the course's assessment elements, which the page lists as assignments, assessment tests and online participation in the forum debates, and achieving a positive final grade. Because the training is certified, the certificate is issued through the SIGO platform (Sistema de Informação e Gestão da Oferta Educativa e Formativa) of the Portuguese state, and the skills developed are recorded in the Passaporte Qualifica. For a learner who needs documented training hours, that official record is the main reason to choose a certified provider like this one.

Requirements and access

A course needs only a computer or tablet with an internet connection and a browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer. The course page says learners can join from any computer, for example at home and at the office, or from a tablet or smartphone, and that no software has to be installed. The example course requires no prior knowledge of the subject. The site also publishes a learner guide (Guia do Formando) and a page for professionals who want to teach on EVOLUI.

Who it suits

EVOLUI suits Portuguese-speaking professionals who want short, certified training that fits around work: someone who needs certified hours recorded in the Passaporte Qualifica, a manager or technician adding a specific skill such as conflict mediation or quality tools, or a career changer testing a field such as tourism, beauty or cultural production before committing further. Prices per course are modest, and the frequent start dates mean little waiting for the next session.

Two points shape the fit. Every course runs on a fixed calendar with a final day, so a learner who wants open-ended access should plan the dates first. And the training is text, assessment and forum based rather than live, which works best for learners who are comfortable studying independently and writing their questions down.
