Alfa Kapos

What Alfa Kapos is

Alfa Kapos is a Hungarian adult education school, run by Alfa Kapos Kft. from Kaposvár, that sells vocational qualifications, distance and correspondence courses, corporate training, and online and hobby courses from one site. The home page sums up the range as "Szakképesítések, távoktatás, vállalati tréningek, online és hobbi tanfolyamok" (vocational qualifications, distance learning, corporate training, online and hobby courses). The footer lists the school's adult training license number, E/2020/000010, and its adult training registration number, B/2020/001473.

The home page describes the business as a "Magyar családi vállalkozás" (Hungarian family business) with 20+ years in education and 100 000+ satisfied students; a course page puts the experience at more than 22 years. The reader it serves is a Hungarian-speaking adult who wants a job-ready qualification, such as a veterinary assistant, nail technician, forklift driver or work safety officer, or who wants to pick up a practical skill online, from Java to video editing to coaching. Everything on the site is in Hungarian.

What the catalog covers

The course finder lists dozens of courses by name, and the categories show where the weight lies.

Vocational qualifications (szakképesítések) are the core. The most popular list includes manicurist and nail designer, interior designer, fire safety officer, veterinary assistant, food shop sales assistant, the Aranykalászos gazda farming qualification, pedicurist, eyelash stylist, make-up artist and eyelash builder, forklift driver, labor and social insurance administrator, and work safety officer. The wider list adds nanny, drugstore assistant, pharmacy assistant, special education and teaching assistant, real estate agent and valuer, customs and excise administrator, an EPR (extended producer responsibility) administrator, logistics, refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump installer, tattoo artist, cultural event organizer, rural tourism host, data entry clerk, condominium manager, store manager and canine physiotherapist.

The home page explains the legal background. It says the old OKJ qualifications ended at the end of 2020 and that the school's new-type adult training replaces them, adding that with these courses "államilag elismert bizonyítványt szerezhetsz" (you can earn a state-recognized certificate).

Online courses cover digital and soft skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro, WordPress, web design, SEO, online marketing management, MS Excel, beginner English at A1, Java programming, virtual assistance, photography and smartphone photography, nutrition advice including vegan and allergen-free diets, mindfulness, stress and conflict management, assertive communication and coaching.

Courses come in several formats, which the course finder lets learners filter by: online, distance learning, correspondence (levelező), classroom, full qualifications, partial qualifications and further training. Classroom courses are listed in towns across Hungary, from Budapest, Debrecen and Győr to Pécs, Szeged and Kaposvár itself, and a course page says the school runs courses "országszerte, 35 városban" (nationwide, in 35 towns), with starts throughout the year. Companies can also book on-site training, and the site has a corporate training section.

How the online courses work

The online courses are sold as self-paced products with a one-time gross price. Each course page lists the same terms: "A kurzus örökre a tulajdonodban marad" (the course stays yours for good), the course starts at once, access has no time limit, and no attendance in person is needed. Questions about these courses go to a course contact at The Bright Academy (thebrightacademy.hu), the partner named on the course pages.

Three course pages show what a learner gets:

• Java programozás tanfolyam kezdőknek (Java for beginners), taught by Mózsi Krisztián, costs 49 990 Ft. It needs no previous programming knowledge, the team helps install every tool used, and the modules run from setup and a first program through variables, primitive and enum types, control structures and loops, arrays, lists and functions, to object-oriented programming, constructors, visibility modifiers, static members, inheritance and automated testing. Each module ends in a test.
• Coaching alapozó (coaching foundations), taught by Halász Kinga, who says she has worked as a coach since 2018, costs 89 990 Ft. Its modules cover what a coach does, a coach's key competences, self-coaching methods, personality types, the coaching process from first session and contract to the DIADAL model and a case study, questioning technique, and short units on stress, time management, assertive communication and motivation. It needs a stable internet connection and basic computer skills.
• Adobe Premiere Pro tanfolyam kezdőknek (Premiere Pro for beginners), taught by Mészáros Bence, costs 24 990 Ft. It covers the workspace and sequences, basic editing, effects, transitions, titles and graphics, color correction, speed ramping, audio, masking and export settings, plus three bonus modules on freelancing: freelance versus agency work, taxes and invoicing, and platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, PeoplePerHour and Guru. It asks for at least 8GB of RAM, a 4th-generation Intel i5 processor and Premiere Pro 2018 or newer.

Not every online course is made in house: the Kozmetikai alapismeretek (cosmetics basics) study material, for example, is organized by the partner Spirit Akadémia Kft. and sold online at an introductory price, with no school-leaving qualification required.

Certificates, results and support

The home page promises "Azonnali tanúsítvány" (an immediate certificate) and states that "Hallgatóink 98% -a sikeres vizsgát tesz" (98% of our students pass the exam), crediting its experienced instructors. Student reviews on the home page are rated 4.8 out of 5. One veterinary assistant student adds that "bármikor vissza tudjuk nézni az óra anyagát" (we can rewatch the lesson material at any time).

Among the reasons to choose the school, a course page lists "garantáltan gyors és kedves ügyfélszolgálat" (guaranteed fast and friendly customer service), qualified and helpful instructors, extra discounts for current and former students, and the option to pay in installments. For questions about a course, the site asks learners to call the course coordinator during working hours or to write to info@alfakapos.hu. A free career test, "Milyen munka illik hozzám?" (which job suits me?), helps people who have not chosen yet.

Offers and discounts

The home page runs several standing offers. Groups of two or more get a discount for each participant on every safety training (védelmi képzés). Learners who have completed the veterinary assistant or dog groomer course get 10% off the other one. 11 of its courses come with a free gift course, an offer valid from February 1 until withdrawn. A banner also announces a price increase on May 15, so prices on the site change from time to time.

Who it suits and who it does not

Alfa Kapos suits Hungarian adults who want a recognized vocational qualification to change jobs or start working in a trade, beauty, care, safety or administrative role, and who value choice of format: classroom in a nearby town, correspondence alongside a job, or fully online. The one-time prices and lifetime access on the online courses suit learners who want to work through a skill such as Java or video editing at their own pace.

It is a weaker fit for anyone who does not read Hungarian, and for learners who want a single, uniform product: the site mixes the school's own qualifications with partner-run online courses, so terms, contacts and formats differ from course to course, and it is worth reading each course page carefully before enrolling.
