What WBS CODING SCHOOL is

WBS CODING SCHOOL is an online tech school for beginners and career changers in Germany. It teaches AI, software development, data, cloud and design in live, instructor-led online classes, in English or German depending on the course, and lets learners add a language course to their tech training. The site describes it as an innovative brand of WBS GRUPPE, gives its address in Berlin, and says the school was founded in 2019 and has trained 2,000+ graduates. Its central selling point for German learners is funding: courses are up to 100% fundable with a Bildungsgutschein, the education voucher issued by the Agentur für Arbeit or JobCenter, so eligible learners can study at no cost.

The courses

The catalog splits into long programs and shorter bootcamps. The long programs are the most comprehensive, and the site says the longer format gives learners time to master complex skills through hands-on practice and real-world projects. They are AWS Cloud Engineering & AI (10 months, English, full-time), Data Analytics & AI (10 months, English or German, full-time, includes an internship), Data Science & AI (12 months, English or German, full-time, includes an internship) and Software Engineering & AI (12 months, English or German, full-time, includes an internship). Long-program students get a MacBook Air included.

The shorter bootcamps are measured in weeks rather than months. In AI and automation there are AI Agents & Automations (12 weeks, English or German), AI for Business (8 weeks, English or German), and two German-language courses, KI & Automatisierung and KI Kompakt, which each take 8 weeks at 3 hours a day. In data there are Data Analytics (13 weeks, English) and Data Science (17 weeks, English). In software and cloud there are AI Software Development (17 weeks, English or German) and AWS Cloud Computing & AI (23 weeks, English). UX/UI Product Design runs 15 weeks in English. Apart from the two KI courses, the listed courses are full-time. For companies, the site lists QCG funding for team training, including QCG versions of the two KI courses.

How the classes work

Every course is built to be beginner-friendly. The site says learners can start at any level with no experience and build their skills step by step whatever their background. Teaching happens live online: classes combine follow-along training, where the instructor guides students through new tools and concepts one click at a time, with team projects, individual work and recap sessions for immediate feedback. Group projects are run in small, dynamic teams that simulate real working environments, so students build problem-solving confidence and a portfolio employers want to see.

The curriculum is updated continuously, and the site says students work with the same AI tools the industry uses now. Instructors teach live on camera, and the school stresses that it hires people with real tech expertise who also hold qualifications in teaching. Between classes, the whole community of instructors, career advisors, mentors and fellow students is reachable through a community chat network, and a student who feels stuck or falls behind can book a one-on-one session with an instructor. A community team supports students throughout the course.

Study is fully remote. A blog post on the site describes the school as running entirely remotely, with all instruction live, all projects real and all career support delivered online, and no in-person requirements. Learners can also study from home or at one of 280+ locations across Germany. Through the Speak Tech program, students can combine a bootcamp with a certified German or English language course.

Career services

Career support continues for up to 12 months after graduation. During the course, students get personalized career support, proven frameworks and professional feedback on their application documents and interview skills. The site says its graduates now work at Tesla, Meta, Zalando, Mercedes-Benz, Lufthansa and BASF, among others, and companies can use the Hire our graduates route as a talent pipeline. The school also runs free online events, including demo days, guest talks and open houses, and a referral program that rewards both the student and the friend they refer.

Funding and enrollment

The Bildungsgutschein is the school's main financing route. The home page invites learners to "Study from 0€ with a Bildungsgutschein" and says the school helps people check whether they qualify for an education voucher and prepares them for the interview with the Agentur für Arbeit. The site's blog adds that the Bildungsgutschein is available for both online and in-person courses and that the delivery format does not decide eligibility. Financing options are listed as the Bildungsgutschein, QCG and more. The site publishes no course prices; prospective students can book a 10-minute call with a career advisor to talk through their background, transferable skills, funding and goals before applying.

Ratings and the school's view on online learning

The home page lists ratings of 4.8/5 on Google, 4.85/5 on Course Report, 4.89/5 on Switchup and 4.7/5 on Trustpilot, and links graduate stories in which former students describe the curriculum, community and teachers.

The school's own guide to online and in-person bootcamps lays out its argument for the remote model. It accepts that studying online takes self-discipline and that procrastination is a common reason students fall behind, and points to live cohort sessions, regular instructor contact and fixed class times as the counterweight. It also states that there is no consistent evidence that in-person graduates outperform online graduates in hiring rates or starting salaries. For career changers in Germany, it argues, a fully online live program means no relocation, the same curriculum wherever they live, live daily sessions with a real cohort and full eligibility for Bildungsgutschein funding.

Who it suits

WBS CODING SCHOOL suits career changers and job seekers in Germany who are eligible for a Bildungsgutschein and want a live, instructor-led route into AI, data, cloud, software engineering or UX/UI design without moving to a city with a bootcamp. Beginners are the target audience, and the long programs with an internship give the most complete preparation for a first job. English and German tracks, plus the Speak Tech language option, make it workable for international learners living in Germany. The KI courses at 3 hours a day are the lighter option for people who cannot study full-time, and companies can train teams with QCG funding. Most courses are full-time, so learners who want an evening course alongside a job will find fewer options here.
