What Sales Enablement Collective is

Sales Enablement Collective (SEC) is a professional community and learning membership for the people who train, coach and equip sales teams. It combines a Slack community, CPD-accredited certifications, a library of templates and recorded presentations, live workshops, and in-person summits and meetups. The About page says that "Since December 2019, Sales Enablement Collective (SEC) has been uniting enablement professionals worldwide," and that SEC is "just one of our 15+ thriving professional communities," part of a group it calls The Alliance. The homepage calls it "The #1 professional network" for sales enablement specialists.

The site gives several measures of size. The homepage counts 10,000+ community members, 13+ certifications and 1,750+ summit attendees. The About page lists 10k+ community members, 800+ certification alumni, 20k+ membership subscribers and 2k+ event attendees, and describes "a global network of 30,000+ enablement professionals." The newsletter invites readers to "Join 18,000+ sales enablement professionals."

It serves two buyers. An individual enabler, from someone trying to break into the field to a sales enablement leader, can join for free or upgrade to a paid membership and certifications. An enablement or L&D leader can buy team memberships, team certifications and bespoke workshops.

Certifications

SEC describes its certifications as "Community-led education designed to fast-track your enablement career." The About page says "We're accredited and recognized by CPD, and all our certifications are based on real-life experiences, practical implementation, and actionable learnings you can apply tomorrow." The team training page names the accrediting body: "Our certifications are accredited by the CPD Certification Service."

The core program is Sales Enablement Certified: Core, which the team training page says creates "a shared understanding around sales enablement" so everyone is "speaking the same language." Paid Pro+ members also get 11+ Masters certifications. A newer program, AI for Sales Enablement Certified: Advanced Practitioner, teaches learners to "Apply AI across the full enablement lifecycle, from rep development and content to coaching and performance," to design and deploy AI agents, to lead AI adoption with a clear rollout strategy, and to prove revenue impact. Graduates "walk away with templates, frameworks, and an official certification." Certifications are also offered in person, according to the plan comparison.

Sales Enablement IQ is a free skills benchmark rather than a course: learners describe their experience across key enablement competencies and receive "a tailor-made framework to lean in on your strengths and identify opportunities for professional growth." Sales Enablement Hired sits under the site's jobs section, promising to help members "Get hired and thrive in sales enablement."

Membership plans and prices

The membership has three levels, compared on the team plans page:

  • Insider membership is free. It includes 4 templates and frameworks, 20+ hours of OnDemand presentations, 9 exclusive articles, industry reports, virtual and in-person meetups, live webinars, leadership dinners, Sales Enablement IQ, the Sales Enablement GPT chat tool and a salary calculator.
  • Pro adds 60+ templates and frameworks, 400+ hours of OnDemand presentations, a larger article library, the members-only community and events, a mentor program, peer councils and Sales Enablement toolkits.
  • Pro+ adds Sales Enablement Certified: Core, 11+ Masters certifications and live workshops.

The team versions carry published prices, charged per member. Pro for teams is $38 a month per member, billed annually, with a minimum of 3 members, and adds a 10% discount on certifications, up to 40% off summits, SEC learning paths and ungated reports. Pro+ for teams is $150 a month per member, billed annually, also with a minimum of 3 members, and adds a complimentary summit ticket and Sales Enablement Hired; it is aimed at "SE professionals with 0-4 years' experience." For getting a whole team certified, the site asks buyers to book a call "to discuss group rates." The team page shows no separate individual price for Pro or Pro+.

In practice, the teams page says members get "new exclusive content shared weekly and OnDemand event footage uploaded monthly," can solve problems "async in the members-only community, through mentorship, or live" at members-only events, and can reuse templates and frameworks "ready to be copied, personalized, and used."

Team training

For organizations, the team training page promises training "led by enablement industry experts" that "will have your entire team singing from the same hymn sheet." The options are Sales Enablement Certified: Core for teams, strategic workshops ("bespoke training tailored to your sales team, market, and goals"), team membership and team certifications. Beside the off-the-shelf options, SEC says it provides "fully customizable solutions to meet your team and organization's specific needs and goals." The page lists the aims as a shared understanding of sales enablement, tangible business results, personalized templates and frameworks, filling skill gaps, fast-tracking new starters and creating new enablement leaders, with "Real-world learning with applicable methodologies, not textbook reading."

Community, events and content

The community runs in Slack, which the About page calls "insanely active and supportive," with local meetups for people who want to meet in person. Events include the Sales Enablement Summit series, which runs "From San Francisco to Sydney," plus dinners and lunches, live sessions, workshops, meetups, and "a full roster of virtual festivals, meetups, and webinars running throughout the year." Annual awards "give credit where credit's due," with nominations put to the community.

The resource library covers industry reports, articles, templates and frameworks, guides, eBooks, case studies, videos and podcasts, and SEC publishes a Sales Enablement Salary Report. Its Sales Enablement Framework organizes the field into five stages: strategy and planning, content, tech and tools, learning and development, and growth. The homepage helps visitors find their level, from breaking into sales enablement to sales enablement leader, and the topics they want to improve, such as onboarding, metrics, training and coaching, or change management.

What members say

Carly Lehner, Enablement Business Partner at Salesforce, says SEC's "events are helpful no matter how many years of experience you have in enablement, and the community is a great place to meet new people and share ideas." Petek Hawkins, VP Revenue Enablement and Operations, writes: "I learn something new that improves my and my team's performance every time." On the team training page, Silvia Frucci calls the Core program "a must-do course" for someone who has just landed a sales enablement leadership role.

Who it suits

Sales Enablement Collective suits enablement professionals who want a peer network, practical templates and a CPD-accredited certification in one membership, and it gives newcomers a free way in through the Insider tier and the IQ benchmark. Enablement leaders who want their whole team on the same frameworks have published per-member team prices and a Core certification built for that purpose. People moving into AI-heavy enablement work have a dedicated advanced certification.

It is a specialist community: someone after general business or sales skills training will find the content aimed squarely at the enablement role, and the in-person summits are tied to particular cities.
