What Pryor Learning is

Pryor Learning is a business and workplace skills training company that sells seminars, webinars and on-demand courses to individual professionals, and training programs to companies and government agencies. The homepage headline is "Professional Training for More Than 50 Years," and the company says it is "Trusted by 3M+ organizations and 13M+ individuals." Its catalog covers "thousands of courses spanning leadership, HR compliance, communication, productivity, and more," and the site has United States and Canada versions.

Pryor works for three kinds of buyer. An individual can book a single seminar, webinar or downloadable course and pay per title. A learner or team can buy the PryorPlus annual pass for unlimited access. An organization can commission private team training, license the eLearning library, or add Pryor content to its own learning management system. Many courses carry continuing education credits, which makes Pryor a practical source of CE hours for HR, finance and project professionals.

The catalog

Training is organized into subject categories: Administrative Assistant, Front Desk & Reception; Artificial Intelligence; Communication Training; Computer Software; Customer Service; Cybersecurity; Evelyn Wood Speed Reading; Finance & Accounting; Grammar & Business Writing; Human Resources; IT; Management & Leadership; Marketing; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Office; OSHA & Workplace Safety; Personal Development; Project Management; QuickBooks; Sales Training; and Time Management. The homepage highlights Management & Leadership, Communication, Microsoft Excel, AI and Time Management as the top categories.

The Personal Development category shows what a category looks like in practice. It lists 51 products, filterable by format (private team training, live virtual, in-person, downloadable) and by duration: self-paced, 1-hour webinar, half-day seminar, 1-day seminar and 2-day conference. Examples include Developing Emotional Intelligence, shown at $149 and $299 with credits of CEU 0.6, CPE 6.0, HRCI 5.5, PDC 6.0 and PDU 6.0; Dealing with Difficult People, shown at $149 and $249 with the same credits; AI Basics for Business Professionals at $199 and $249 with CEU 0.3 and CPE 3.0; Managing Emotions Under Pressure (Half-Day) at $149; and a DISC Assessment online report at $69. A one-day live virtual seminar runs from 9am to 4pm in the session's time zone, and half-day sessions run three hours, morning or afternoon.

AI training has its own on-demand library. The homepage describes "instant access to 130 practical, self-paced courses built for real workplaces and real schedules," including AI Business Essentials Part 1: ChatGPT, Copilot for Excel: An Introduction, Copilot for PowerPoint: An Introduction, and Getting Started with Claude. The site also promotes AI training aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

Formats

Pryor teaches in several formats, which the homepage summarizes as "Live in-person seminars, virtual instructor-led sessions and on-demand eLearning":

  • Live virtual seminars, "led by a real person," an experienced trainer who "engages with you, facilitates discussion and answers your questions in real time."
  • In-person seminars "in a city near you," held "in an environment with limited distractions." The personal development listings show an in-person date in Nashville, TN, and filter by state.
  • Webinars, with "200+ webinar topics" that run live or on the learner's own schedule; "In just 60 minutes, build expertise in high-demand areas like management, leadership, communication, customer service, Excel and more."
  • Digital downloads and on-demand collections for self-paced study.
  • Private team training; the site says its training runs "in-person, online in a virtual setting or onsite at your location."

PryorPlus and the eLearning library

PryorPlus is the annual pass. The homepage says it "gives individuals or teams unlimited access to training at a fraction of the cost of traditional programs," and lists what it includes: "5,000+ recorded and on-demand courses covering 19 learning categories," live virtual seminars with instructors in real time, "Live in-person seminars at convenient locations across the U.S.," microlearning, quizzes, videos and eBooks, and professional certifications "CEU, CPE, HRCI, PDC and PDU." The site pitches it with the line "Train big with pricing options for every budget." The pages show no price for the pass itself. A pass holder quoted on the homepage says a course "jump-started my excitement to register for more classes!"

For organizations, the eLearning library page offers three routes: Pryor's content library, its own eLearning platform, or Pryor courses added to an existing LMS. The library counts "9,000+ learning opportunities," "3,500+ microlearning courses" and "15+ subject categories," and the platform description cites "5,000+ eLearning opportunities" and "5+ learning formats." Companies can request a demo. Learning paths and microlearning are listed among the enterprise options.

Continuing education credits

The homepage section "Accredited & Certified Programs" says "Many courses offer CEUs, CPE, HRCI, SHRM and other continuing education credits, giving learners career-boosting credentials while companies stay compliant." Each course listing shows its credits, and the amounts vary by course: a full-day seminar such as Developing Emotional Intelligence shows CEU 0.6 and CPE 6.0, while a half-day session such as AI Basics for Business Professionals shows CEU 0.3 and CPE 3.0. The site has pages for CEU, CPE, HRCI, PDU and SHRM credits and a page for printing certificates. A professional who must log CE hours can see before booking exactly which credits a course carries.

Training for organizations

The homepage describes "Professional and accredited training solutions for all organizations," from startups to the Fortune 500, and says Pryor provides "flexible and personalized training for organizations of any size, whether you need to brush up on computer skills, train for a new role or upskill your team on the latest business trends." Its enterprise offer includes "group pricing, private team sessions and LMS integration." The custom training form is headed "Custom Training For Teams of 10+" and asks for the number of learners and the topics of interest, which include AI, customer service, compliance (HRCI, OSHA, PDU and SHRM), discrimination and harassment, finance and accounting, business writing, HR, management, Excel, professional communication, and time and project management.

Government agencies have their own track. The homepage says federal, state and local agencies "can boost performance and staff engagement with Pryor Learning," and that Pryor partners with them "to ensure you meet and maintain certain federal requirements," using "custom-tailored and P-card-ready training."

Support and reviews

Support is by phone at 1-800-780-8476, and the site has a contact page, an FAQ and a Buyer Satisfaction Guarantee page. Learners quoted on the homepage praise the instructors: one said "I learned many additional things that will help me in my current position," and another wrote that "the instructor was GREAT! He kept us all laughing, learning and interacting." Pryor also publishes blog articles, white papers and podcasts.

Who it suits

Pryor Learning suits working professionals who want a practical one-day or half-day seminar on a specific skill, such as handling difficult people, Excel or business writing, and who value a listed price and a calendar of dates. It fits HR, finance and project professionals who need continuing education credits, since each listing shows its CEU, CPE, HRCI, PDC or PDU values. PryorPlus makes sense for someone planning several courses a year, and the eLearning library and LMS content suit companies that want a ready-made training library for many departments. Government buyers get P-card-ready purchasing.

It is less suited to someone looking for a deep program in one field, since the catalog is built around short seminars across many business topics, or to teams wanting to compare annual pass prices online before calling.
