PM-Partners

Tap a star to rate

PM-Partners is a project delivery consultancy with a large training arm. Alongside advisory, agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) consulting, delivery, resourcing and a service for hiring an expert, it runs certification and skills courses in project management, agile, PMO, business analysis and, more recently, AI. Its training page describes the courses as "certified project management courses, agile training, and business analysis certifications" for people in the industry or looking to move into it. The courses are delivered by accredited trainers through a live virtual classroom and, according to the site, can be customized for individuals or run in the workplace for a whole team. For a learner, PM-Partners is a place to take a recognized methodology course with a live trainer; for an L&D or PMO lead, it is a supplier that can train a team and also advise on capability.

The course catalog

The training page sets out a catalog in six groups.

  • Agile: Agile Business Analysis (AgileBA), AgilePgM Foundation, Agile Project Management (AgilePM), AgileSHIFT (enterprise agility), Coaching Agile Teams, DevOps Fundamentals, Estimating in Agile, Kanban in Practice, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Yellow Belt, PRINCE2 Agile, Scrum Master Certified (SMC) and Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC).
  • Scaled Agile: Leading SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), SAFe for Architects and SAFe for Teams.
  • PMO: Essentials for PMO Administrators, P3O, and Running an effective Hybrid PMO.
  • Project management: Change Management, ITIL 4 Foundation, Management of Portfolios (MoP), Managing Benefits, MSP, PRINCE2, Project Management Fundamentals and Project Management in Practice.
  • Business analysis: Business Analysis Fundamentals, Business Analysis in Practice and Business Genetic.
  • Supporting skills: Developing an Effective Business Case, Effective Facilitation, Microsoft Project Essentials and Negotiating Skills.

The menu's popular courses add an AI track: AI-Native Foundations, AI-Native Value Architect, Copilot for business productivity, and Developing Human-Led AI Agents. The site also points to power skills courses, eLearning courses and learning pathways, and a featured insight on the page, "AI is moving fast: most organisations aren’t", shows where the company sees demand going.

That mix covers most of what a project professional is asked to hold. The agile group trains both scrum roles, through Scrum Master Certified and Scrum Product Owner Certified, and offers Lean Six Sigma at Yellow Belt and Green Belt levels for process improvement work. A newcomer can start with Project Management Fundamentals or Business Analysis Fundamentals and move on to the "in Practice" courses. A practitioner can take a methodology course such as PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, MSP or ITIL 4 Foundation. A team moving to scaled agile can go through Leading SAFe and SAFe for Teams together, and a PMO can train its administrators and its leads in the same place.

How the virtual classroom works

The FAQ is specific about what "virtual" means. It is live training, not pre-recorded, delivered by a trainer to wherever you are in real time, which PM-Partners calls Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT). The FAQ adds that "Our trainers are based in actual training rooms complete with training and AV equipment", and a behind-the-scenes video on the page shows the setup.

During a session the trainer can change how webcams are viewed, share a screen to show a document or presentation, make an attendee the presenter, run polls and tests, split the class into small groups for activities, and upload materials. The FAQ calls collaboration and active participation essential. Learners can raise and submit questions or comments to the trainer or other attendees, use shared apps and drawing tools with the whole group, join breakout rooms for activities and small group discussions, and share the trainer's keyboard and mouse control. One practical note: drawing tools, shared keyboard and mouse control, and multi-monitor screen sharing work only in the installed desktop app, so a learner joining from a browser gets fewer tools.

The training menu also lists a hybrid classroom option and room hire, so not everything is online only.

Booking for teams

For organizations, the training menu offers group bookings, in-house training, capability uplift and a training catalog, alongside a course list, a course calendar and a promotions and special offers page. Capability uplift sits in the services menu next to advisory and delivery work, which means a company can combine courses with consulting on how its projects are run. The industries menu names government, higher education, construction, financial services, energy and utilities, and healthcare and pharma, and the featured case study describes helping Downer set new standards for project management workforce development with an award-winning "Project Plus" initiative. Recent case studies on the page describe shifting a client from a program to a solution model through SAFe to stabilize a customer experience ecosystem, and building a Power BI dashboard for FOSS component management. A resources section offers a complexity assessment, a capability hub, a knowledge hub, eBooks and white papers, and checklists. The site also has a page introducing its trainers, and the footer links to a student and graduate pathway. No course prices appear on the virtual training page itself.

Accreditations

The footer lists the company's standing with certification bodies. PM-Partners group describes itself as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Premier Authorised Training Partner (ATP), an APMG-International "Accredited Training Organisation" (ATO), a Gold partner of PeopleCert, an Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) of the International Institute for Business Analysis (IIBA), a Scaled Agile Gold Partner, an "ICAgile Member Organisation", a GPM Accredited Training Partner and a Microsoft EPM Solution Partner. The same footer notes that PMI does not specifically endorse, approve or warrant ATP products, courses or services. For a learner choosing a methodology course, the list shows which certification bodies PM-Partners works with.

Who it suits

PM-Partners suits project managers, business analysts, scrum masters, product owners and PMO staff who want a recognized methodology course taught live, with breakout work and a trainer they can question. It is especially useful for organizations: a PMO standardizing on PRINCE2 or SAFe can book a group or bring the course in-house, and pair it with advisory work. Newcomers have clear entry courses, and the AI track gives project teams a structured way to start working with Copilot and AI agents.

The format asks for commitment. Sessions are live and scheduled, so a learner needs to be free at the set times and, for the full set of interactive tools, should use the desktop app. People who prefer self-paced study can look at the eLearning courses, but the core offer is instructor-led.
