Maguire Training is a UK company, trading as Maguire Business Solutions Limited, that sells leadership, management and sales training to employers and to individual professionals. It works in two ways. The first is people-led training: in-house courses, open courses, virtual classes, bespoke programs, apprenticeship training and one-to-one executive coaching. The second is an e-learning library of more than 200 ready-made modules that an organization can license, rebrand and run on its own learning management system or on a white-label portal Maguire sets up for it. The home page says it has delivered leadership and sales training since 1999, all around the world and in over 30 languages, and it shows a 4.7/5 rating. For an L&D or HR team, it is both a training supplier and a source of off-the-shelf content.
Leadership, management and sales courses
The leadership and management range runs from a manager's first role to experienced managers moving toward C-suite strategic leadership. The site describes it as built to help managers inspire and motivate a team and grow their skills, resilience and effectiveness, and it names a high-intensity Leadership Academy along with training on navigating a career with purpose.
The sales range is ISM-accredited, according to the home page, which says it gives teams "the tools and techniques to set, measure and exceed targets". It runs from key account management to a specialist-run Sales Academy, and Maguire describes the courses as practical and dynamic, built to give teams the knowledge and confidence to reach performance goals.
Alongside the courses, a Development Tools section offers psychometric and personality testing, training needs analysis with skills and competency analysis, a sales skills audit, 360 degree feedback, and IT and Microsoft skills training. A separate healthcare section covers appraisal and revalidation, teaching and supervision, coaching and mentoring, personal development, and leadership and management, with its own e-learning. The site lists the sectors it has trained in as transport, education, food, telecommunications, NHS training, energy, media, construction, manufacturing and hospitality, and says some sectors get specialized courses designed for their needs.
How the training is delivered
Maguire offers seven delivery routes. In-house courses are delivered at the client by its experts and are pitched as the cost-effective option. Bespoke training is tailored to a team for in-depth personal support. Apprenticeship Levy courses take a practical approach to apprenticeship training and are listed as funded courses. One-to-one and executive coaching focuses on an individual's growth. E-learning courses and virtual learning let people take part from home or the office. Open courses are scheduled public sessions that the site says are packed with learning and networking. The home page also advertises free events and a course finder for locating a course by topic and place.
In the UK, training is available in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast and other cities. The home page also lists training across Europe, Asia and Oceania, the GCC states, North America and further afield, with an invitation to get in touch for delivery outside the UK.
The e-learning library and white-label portals
The e-learning side is the part that makes Maguire a training library as well as a training company. Its licensing page offers access to over 200 ready-made e-learning modules that an organization can rebrand and add to its own LMS. The content is SCORM compliant, so it can be migrated into an existing system. The off-the-shelf courses shown there include Coaching Remotely, Delegation Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Interviewing Skills, on asking the right questions for the role, Leading Through Adversity, Making LinkedIn Perform, Mental Health Awareness, Personal Impact in a Virtual World and Personal Power, plus a negotiation course on gaining tactical and strategic advantages.
An organization without its own LMS can have a white-label site instead. Maguire describes it as a portal with the client's branding, a unique URL, an LMS login page and a dedicated account manager, who helps create the site, choose which content users see, and train the client's team to manage the platform. The page lists further features: access for staff whenever they need it, a highly customizable layout and features such as colors and an updates feed, and accessible materials including course notes, transcripts and action plans. Learners log in through Maguire E-Learning.
Bespoke modules are built to order. The page says white-labeled courses are designed to look and sound like the client's own, and bespoke content can include a custom avatar or trainer. A finished bespoke module can run on the client's LMS or on a dedicated white-label platform from Maguire. The footer also points to reseller e-learning modules and LMS licensing for organizations that want to license or resell the library.
Translation is part of the offer. Maguire says it can translate any of its modules into over 30 languages, including French, Spanish, German and Italian, can translate a client's bespoke content once it is on the platform, and will provide a short preview clip so a buyer can see and hear a module in the chosen language before committing.
Prices
The licensing page is the only one that names a price. E-learning licensing comes with "a choice of three pricing options starting from £1000": per person, giving each person access to selected modules; per year, an annual fee based on the number of users; and per module, a fee based on how many modules are selected. A fourth route, Go Bespoke, builds a unique module for the business. For clients who want help promoting the modules internally, there are three marketing support packages: Starter, described as budget-friendly; Pro, covering all online channels; and Unlimited, with a dedicated designer. Courses, coaching and in-house programs are arranged by contacting the company, through a callback request, phone or email.
Who it suits
Maguire Training suits employers that want a single supplier for management, leadership and sales development, whether that means sending a sales team on an ISM-accredited course, bringing a trainer in-house, coaching a senior leader one to one, or funding apprenticeships through the levy. Organizations with an LMS can license ready-made soft-skills modules and drop them in as SCORM packages, and those without one can get a branded portal, which makes it a practical option for a mid-sized company building a training catalog for the first time. Multinational teams benefit from the translation service.
It is a business-to-business supplier rather than a place for an individual to browse and buy a course on a whim: most of its offer is arranged through a conversation, and the e-learning licenses start at £1000, which sits better with a training budget than a personal one.
