Its app has passed 1 million downloads, with more than 10,000 reviews and an overall rating of 4.5.

The catalog

Courses are sorted into categories, with counts shown on the home page: thinking and communication (236 courses), marketing (139), leadership (235), accounting and finance (273), AI and Technovate (515), organizational management (252), business strategy (242), business software and tools (77), analysis (48), business development and startups (163), career and aspirations (73), self-development (2,394), design (49), global (144), certifications and exam preparation (203), and tutorials and business basics (45). Each course carries a level, from beginner through intermediate to advanced, or a tag for practical know-how or discovery content.

Courses range from short concept videos under 10 minutes, on frameworks such as the logic tree, MECE, 3C analysis, PEST analysis, the value chain or the balance sheet, to long courses of well over an hour, such as Critical Thinking, organizational behavior and leadership, accounting basics or business strategy. The home page keeps a row of courses that take under 10 minutes, and the tools category teaches software such as kintone, Notion and Notion AI, Asana, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Global business English and English learning courses sit in the global category.

Alongside the structured courses, the 知見録 side adds interviews, discussions and news: series such as リーダーの挑戦 (Leader's Challenge), with interviews of company founders and executives, a premium consultation series on everyday work problems, trend talks, conference recordings and an audio AI news program. Most courses are for members only, while some videos are free and some new courses are free for a limited time.

Learning paths

Learning paths combine selected videos for a specific goal, and the learning paths page lists 111 of them. They are grouped for first-time users, by management domain, position, job type, issue or skill, DX and AI, digital skill standards, and certifications. Examples include basic and practical paths for critical thinking, quantitative analysis, people management, leadership, marketing, strategy, new business and venture management, accounting, finance and personal purpose; paths by career stage, from incoming hires and new employees through new section managers (23 courses, 23 hours 18 minutes) to department heads and executives; and paths by function, such as HR, labor, accounting and finance, legal, sales and customer success, digital marketing, design thinking and product management. A path of 19 courses (22 hours 40 minutes) covers frameworks from the graduate school's foundation subjects as preparation for an MBA, tied to an MBA scholarship for single courses.

For digital transformation, a series of paths is mapped to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's DX Literacy Standard and DX Promotion Skill Standard. They cover mindset, data, digital technology, security, data use and machine learning, project management and design, with drill question sets for each standard.

Exam preparation

The certifications category prepares learners for Japanese qualifications. Learning paths cover the Nissho bookkeeping exam (日商簿記) at grade 3, with a lecture path of 22 courses (16 hours 5 minutes) and a problem-explanation path of 19 courses (10 hours 9 minutes), and at grade 2, with commercial (23 courses, 17 hours 6 minutes) and industrial (14 courses, 13 hours 33 minutes) bookkeeping. Financial planning (FP) exam paths cover grade 3 and grade 2, each with a lecture path and a practice path of 13 courses, revised in 2024 to reflect legal changes and the exam content. There are also paths for the IT Passport national exam (26 courses), an introduction to data science aligned with the Data Scientist Test literacy level, and an introduction to the G Kentei exam on deep learning and AI. The project management path explains the PMBOK guide and is described as an entry point for PMP preparation.

The AI BUSINESS SHIFT series

For leaders and managers, the 12-part AI BUSINESS SHIFT series teaches how to use AI in management and across an organization. It runs in three sections: basics (parts 1 to 3) on the AI literacy leaders need, management (parts 4 to 7) on leadership and organizational change, and functional strategy (parts 8 to 12). Part 10 covers how AI changes back-office functions such as HR, general affairs, labor, accounting and information systems, for the leaders of those departments and anyone driving DX there. Part 12, about an hour long in 12 videos, covers new business creation in the AI era, ending with questions from practitioners and the paths open to large companies. A companion AI WORK SHIFT series covers hands-on use of AI tools, and an AI talent series covers individual skills, such as a 21-minute course on using generative AI as a personal tutor and coach for self-study.

How learning works

Courses are video-based and self-paced, viewable on the web or in the app at any time. The paid plan adds features to each course: a one-question-at-a-time quiz for each video, a comprehension test after the full course, the teaching materials used in the videos once a learner answers every test question correctly, a watch-later list, comments for reflection, and a new AI learning agent (学びエージェント) that answers questions such as what a term means. The home page also mentions completion certificates. Learners' comments sit under each course for other members to read, and the Learn How to Learn course for new users alone has 1980 comments.

Plans and trial

Individuals can try the service free for 7 days, and the home page notes that no fee is charged if automatic renewal is stopped within the trial period. Prices sit on a separate pricing page. Companies get a corporate service, in which, the site says, HR development professionals support an organization's growth with features that use generative AI and an e-learning program that can measure knowledge from MBA basics to DX. The site footer lists further GLOBIS services for companies, including in-company and school-style training, the GMAP assessment test and a learning management system.

Who it suits

GLOBIS学び放題 suits Japanese-speaking professionals who want a wide, structured library of business fundamentals at their own pace: new hires learning business basics, mid-career staff preparing for management, managers working out how AI changes their function, and people studying for bookkeeping, FP or IT Passport exams. Companies can use the corporate service to train staff systematically and measure what they know. The content is in Japanese, so learners who need English-language courses will find the GLOBIS group's English-language MBA programs listed separately in the footer.
