Crowd Wisdom is a cloud-based learning management system for associations that run continuing education and certification programs, and for companies that train channel partners. The associations page says it "grows and retains association membership through immersive learning experiences," and the home page describes it as continuing education software that helps organizations increase learner engagement and diversify revenue streams. The site's copyright line names Momentive Software Holdco, LLC, and lists Momentive Software among its trademarks.

The home page reports what learners did on the platform in 2023: 9.9M+ course completions, 13.3M+ course logins, 39.8M+ courses launched and 3.6M+ exams completed. Those numbers describe a system built for large professional education programs rather than a single course. The home page also promises simpler administration for the team running the program, with courses created in a modern learning portal.

Building and running courses

Administrators create courses from one centralized learning hub and can build up or break down a course to fit different groups of learners. The associations page frames course management as removing redundancy and costly errors across the whole chain, "starting from digital content creation through credit tracking with a fully integrated LMS," so that an association can keep adding to and adapting its continuing education strategy as its programs change.

The platform handles a wide range of formats with configurable features and content types. Associations can combine on-demand programs with virtual instructor-led (ILT) courses, convert in-person courses into hybrid or fully virtual programs, and offer anything from comprehensive certification programs to standalone micro-learning modules. The solutions menu also lists Content Creation and Event Capture.

Interactive video. Existing videos, recordings and speaker presentations can be turned into dynamic learning content. Administrators embed test questions in the video, track time watched, run polls, issue interactive handouts and host online discussions between learners and instructors. For an association whose annual meeting produces hours of recorded sessions, this turns a conference archive into interactive courses.

Testing, certification and credit tracking

Assessment and testing engine. Crowd Wisdom supports self-prep and real-time testing, from basic practice to what the home page calls "high stakes testing to mock certification and licensure tests." The associations page says the engine offers dozens of question types for mock certification and licensure exams.

Certification and credit tracking. Associations can issue and track CE credits, certifications and competency-based certificates. Learners can upload credits earned elsewhere, so their whole educational record sits in one place, and administrators can grant, manage and expire certificates "for any e-learning standard." The home page ties this to revenue, encouraging organizations to offer credentialing and certification programs in a variety of formats.

Personalized learning paths

The platform's recommendation engine assembles courses based on set objectives, competency goals or certification paths, and personalized learning paths organize a member's learning toward a certification. The home page puts it from the learner's side: "Learners will love being guided through a personalized career path, as they further their professional development." Career Paths also appears as a separate solution in the menu.

Selling and the member experience

Storefront. Crowd Wisdom provides a course shopping and checkout experience through a storefront that fits into the association's other systems, such as its AMS and member website. Course recommendation and preference logic is meant to ensure each member sees the content most relevant to them.

Branded interface. The learner interface can be matched to the association's website, with a dashboard designed to present each learner with the course that suits them.

Integrations. The SSO and eCommerce integration connects the association's AMS, ecommerce and CRM systems for a single learner experience. The site says Crowd Wisdom integrates with multiple providers for single sign-on, purchases and content management and supports the organization's authentication preferences. The product menu lists AMS integrations, including a dedicated Nimble AMS integration, plus other integrations. The associations page also promises "powerful analytics" for the association.

How the pieces fit together

Taken together, the features describe a full cycle for an association with a credential to maintain. Sessions recorded at a conference become interactive video courses with embedded questions and polls. Members find them in a storefront on the association's own website, sign in through single sign-on, and pay through the integrated ecommerce. Completions feed the credit and certificate records, members add credits earned elsewhere, and administrators grant and expire certificates in the same system. Learning paths then point each member toward the next course on the way to a certification, and the testing engine lets them sit a mock exam before the real one.

Who uses it

The associations page names the types of associations Crowd Wisdom serves: healthcare associations, legal and bar associations, engineering and manufacturing associations, retailer associations, finance and accounting associations, and marketing and PR associations. The home page says leading associations and corporations trust it to scale their professional education and development programs.

The corporate side shows up in the Channel Partner Training solution: the same delivery tools can serve "association members or channel partners," which makes Crowd Wisdom usable for customer and partner education as well as member learning.

Pricing, demos and support

The site publishes no prices. Its menu offers Request Pricing and Request Demo forms and a personalized tour, and existing customers reach a Client Support channel. The site invites prospects to work with the Crowd Wisdom team on a custom approach to their learning program. The resources section includes an LMS Buyer's Guide, a guide to gaining board approval for an LMS, and material on innovation in continuing education, alongside whitepapers, webinars and infographics.

Who it suits

Crowd Wisdom fits associations with established continuing education or certification programs that need to track CE credits and certificates, run practice and mock certification exams, and sell courses to members through a storefront tied to their AMS. Its interactive video tools suit associations sitting on a back catalog of conference recordings, and its learning paths suit programs built around competencies or credentials. Companies that train resellers or channel partners can use it for that purpose too.

It is built for organizations with real program volume and existing systems to integrate, so a solo creator or a small team selling a handful of courses would be buying more platform than they need. Buyers should expect a demo and a pricing request rather than a published rate card.
