Tap a star to rate

Blue Sky eLearn is an eLearning and virtual event company whose product is Path LMS, a learning management system built for associations, non-profits and other organizations that educate professionals. The company sells the software together with services: virtual event production, learning and development, platform integrations and support for clients and learners. Its customer pages are organized around professional and trade associations, legal organizations, medical organizations, professional education providers, clinical and life sciences organizations, and association management companies.

The home page claims 20+ years of eLearning and virtual event work and calls Path LMS "the top LMS for associations." It contrasts itself with vendors who "cobble together a myriad of platforms and call them one solution," saying its products and services run on one award-winning LMS. The site says Path LMS is used by hundreds of organizations to deliver online learning, networking events and conferences.

What Path LMS does

One home for content. Path LMS is meant to be the central hub for an association's online courses, webinars, events and more. It delivers content live and on demand, works on any device, and offers what the associations page calls "virtually unlimited course configurations," so an organization can grow its eLearning library as its membership grows. Custom branding and flexible design options let the catalog look like the organization's own, and a searchable course catalog helps members find what they need. The healthcare page says courses and events can be set up in minutes through the admin interface, whatever the size of the library.

Virtual events. Organizations can host virtual events and meetings in the built-in event player or connect Zoom, GoToMeeting or Adobe Connect. The healthcare page describes CME-eligible webinars, virtual conferences and annual meetings, and customer stories show associations turning annual meeting presentations into webinars, recordings and podcasts that keep earning after the event.

Assessment, attendance and credit. Quizzes and assessments check what learners have taken in, attendance can be tracked and verified, and required evaluations are collected at the end. Credits and certificates are built in. A customer quoted on the site, the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology, describes attendance checks that confirm attendees are taking the online course and, at the end, open a survey and automatically award the CE certificate.

Engagement. Learners can join course discussions, use attendee chat and rate courses.

Selling. eCommerce lets an association sell popular content live or on demand to build non-dues revenue, and the site says its eCommerce integrations keep financials in sync. One customer, the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals, says it "paid for Path LMS already just by the certification and course registrations."

AI features. The home page promotes AI-powered features meant to "create education programs faster, provide more personalized member experiences, and drive learner engagement," and says the AI tools in Path LMS "simplify content creation."

Integrations

Integration is one of the platform's strongest claims. The associations page says Path LMS integrates with more than 70 association management systems (AMS), community platforms and engagement tools, and the healthcare page lists AMS, community platforms, proctoring, digital badging, third-party payment gateways and virtual event platforms among more than 70 critical business tools. The National Association of School Nurses says its Path LMS setup "is integrated with our AMS."

For medical organizations, the key integration is the ACCME PARS learner data web service. The healthcare page says it syncs with the organization's AMS to report CME, including for Maintenance of Certification, and claims it will "save you monthly reporting headaches and reduce the administrative burden for annual reporting." The healthcare feature list adds CME credit support, AMS and CRM integrations, accessibility, eCommerce and reporting, and learner engagement and ratings. The solutions menu also lists Path eClinical for clinical and life sciences organizations.

Services and support

Blue Sky eLearn positions itself as a partner rather than only a vendor. Its services include:

  • Virtual event production, with experienced facilitators and moderators who guide live or recorded events from start to finish and give users technical support. SRA International says the moderators help keep presenters "who are new to presenting online at ease."
  • Learning and development, where instructional designers handle content development, content enhancements and instructor-led training, and design CME content for medical professionals.
  • Learning design, building home pages and course pages that reflect the organization's brand.
  • Client and learner support, with an onboarding manager who migrates and sets up existing content, a customer success manager, and an end-user support team that helps learners through an embedded Help Desk and email.

The Minnesota County Attorneys Association says, "Our users have thanked us for switching to such an intuitive product, our calls for assistance have dropped to almost nothing, and if someone does need help, the response is quick and professional."

Results the site reports

Two case studies carry numbers. On the associations page, Path LMS "helped IFT increase revenue by 400% in just seven months through online courses, webinars, and virtual meetings." On the healthcare page, "USCAP tripled eLearning revenue and reduced admin workload by implementing Path LMS with an ACCME PARS integration." Health Level Seven International calls the system "versatile, reliable, and easy to use," and the Decorative Plumbing + Hardware Association says its members can manage their employees' progress through its courses. Independent LMS consultant John Leh of Talented Learning, quoted on the home page, says Blue Sky eLearn "stands out for its consistent excellence and innovation."

Pricing

The site publishes no prices. Buyers book a demo or request information, and the company accepts inquiries by phone and email.

Who it suits

Path LMS fits associations and non-profits that want their courses, webinars, conferences and certificates in one branded system tied to their AMS, and that value a vendor who will produce events and help build content. Medical associations and CME providers get the most specific tooling, with ACCME PARS reporting, CME credit support and CME-eligible webinars. Legal organizations, professional education providers and association management companies are also named customer groups, and a trade association that trains members' employees can use it as a customer education platform, as the Decorative Plumbing + Hardware Association does.

An independent creator with one course would be buying far more platform and service than they need. The product makes the most sense for an organization with a steady program of member education and events, and enough content and members to justify an implementation project led by an onboarding manager.
