Seduo

Seduo is a Czech and Slovak online learning platform for professional and personal development, run by Alma Career, the company behind the job portals Jobs.cz and Prace.cz. It sells to two audiences: companies that want to give their employees a ready-made training library, and individuals who buy single video courses for their own careers. The Czech homepage calls Seduo the largest Czech learning platform for professional and personal development ("S největší českou vzdělávací platformou pro profesní a osobní rozvoj"), and the Slovak site makes the same claim for the Czech-Slovak market. Everything is produced in Czech and Slovak with local lecturers, and the service runs in parallel at seduo.cz and seduo.sk with separate local support.
What a company gets
For a fixed annual price, a company buys, in the homepage's words, unlimited access to all learning content, formats and lecturers, corporate administration with statistics on employee learning, the mobile app for learners, and free support from an experienced business consultant. The content is organized into 12 content categories: Leadership, Sales, Communication, Presentation, Marketing, Personal development, Productivity, Projects, HR and Law, Digital skills, Languages and Podcasts, with a VIP section alongside.
It comes in four formats, each with a stated study time:
- Video courses: more than 400, typically 40 to 80 minutes of study each. A case study on the homepage highlights short lessons of 5 to 10 minutes within them.
- Webinars: live online sessions with lecturers, around 60 minutes.
- Podcasts: 30 to 90 minutes.
- Academies: intensive learning programs run over several weeks.
On top of these sit structured learning programs. The Czech programs page lists 19 of them, including Effective Communication, Working from Home Effectively, Innovative Thinking, Leadership Through the Eyes of Real Leaders, Manager at the Starting Line, Modern HR, Persuasive Presentation, Productive Work with Time, Professional Trainer, Everyday Mental Hygiene, Speak like a king, Successful Salesperson, Basics of English Grammar and Managing Change. The Slovak site lists 21.
Seduo stresses its own production. The homepage promises access to 150+ lecturers, recognized experts and well-known personalities from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and names some of them with their courses: Broňa Sobotka on speaking English, Jakub Železný on professional speaking, Cyril Höschl on the anatomy of decision-making, Radek Jaroš on reaching the summit, and Šimon Pánek on the courage to go your own way.
Administration and rollout
Seduo pitches itself as quick to start. The homepage says a company can start with Seduo as soon as tomorrow, because it does not need to be connected to the company's internal systems. Training is managed in the corporate administration, and the statistics are used to evaluate progress and plan where training goes next. Experienced consultants help with a smooth launch and with keeping employees motivated.
Companies can also extend Seduo with their own internal training, so that one platform carries both. The site says it supports videos, PDF, DOC and PPT files and whole web pages, and that a license for custom content can be bought on its own or as an add-on to the standard corporate license.
The learner experience
Employees study on a computer, a tablet or the mobile app for Android and iOS, which has an offline mode. According to the FAQ, courses consist of video lessons plus study materials such as presentations and texts, with quizzes to help knowledge stick. Learners can earn a Certificate of Completion (Certifikát o absolvování); the conditions vary by course, and the FAQ says that usually a learner needs at least 80% on the final test. The FAQ suggests using it on a CV. It is a completion certificate from Seduo, not an accredited qualification.
The FAQ is clear about scope: Seduo is professional education, so learners should not expect courses on baking bread. Its examples are sales and presentation skills, project management and IT. The audience it names is secondary and university students, working employees and entrepreneurs, with seniors and pupils welcome too.
Prices and trial
Seduo prints a model price. On the Czech site: "Modelový příklad: 1 300 Kč / rok za 1 zaměstnance při nákupu 500 licencí", which is 1,300 CZK a year per employee when buying 500 licenses. The Slovak site gives its own model example in euros. Both sites link to a full price list. The price is a fixed annual one, so the cost depends on headcount rather than on how many courses people take.
To try it, the homepage offers access to the trial version and the corporate administration "na 21 dní zdarma a bez závazků" (for 21 days, free and without commitment), with a personal introduction from the customer care team on request. The footer links to separate terms of use for companies and for individual users.
Individuals buy paid video courses one at a time, from the same 12 thematic categories.
Reach and customers
The Czech homepage says "1050+ českých firem" (1,050+ Czech companies) develop their employees with Seduo, and the Slovak site gives 380+ Slovak companies. The case studies on the homepage describe uses rather than numbers: employees over 50 who value being able to repeat topics, companies with several branches training at the same time, a manufacturer training both managers and production staff, and an employer that replaced some classroom training in languages and digital skills. One combines online courses with follow-up from a trainer. A testimonial from Veronika Sosnová, HR Manager at ZF Engineering, calls the service "moderní, flexibilní, efektivní" (modern, flexible, effective) for developing soft skills.
Lecturers and experts who want to publish their own course on Seduo can contact the company through the FAQ, since Alma Career produces courses with partners from among lecturers, companies and universities.
Who Seduo suits
Seduo fits a Czech or Slovak employer that wants a broad soft-skills and professional-skills library in the local language, for staff from production to management, at a predictable annual price per employee and with almost no technical setup. A company with branches or shift workers benefits from the mobile app with offline mode, and one with internal training material can put it on the same platform with the custom content license.
It suits less well an organization that needs training in other languages, since the catalog is produced in Czech and Slovak, or one looking for formal accredited qualifications rather than completion certificates. Individuals who want one course on presentation skills or English can buy it directly without a company contract.
