What It Is

Learnit is a live training company for employers: its core product is a catalog of expert-led online workshops in human skills, management, AI and office software, backed by a library of on-demand video workshops. The home page puts the promise this way: "Build stronger managers, higher-performing teams, and a workforce that is ready for AI, with live, expert-led training programs and workshops." The company, Learnit Inc, gives its address on Commercial Street in San Francisco, and says that "For 31 years, Learnit has trained over 2 million people at some of the world's best companies."

The reader is an HR or L&D team that wants scheduled, facilitated sessions rather than a video catalog alone, though the on-demand library is there too. Individuals are also addressed through an "Individual Growth" track, and there are separate learner and admin portals.

Workshops and Skill Stacks

The building block is a short live workshop. The course menu describes two families:

  • Human skills, "from communication to change management": the site says learners "Build human skills with live facilitators in 2-hour, modular, stackable blocks."
  • Technical skills, "From Excel Essentials to SharePoint": the same 2-hour live format, with "experts who make technical material accessible."

This is also where Learnit fits the business skills membership: communication, change management, leadership, and productivity software are the subjects a manager or office worker takes to do the job better.

The third menu item is Skill Stacks, Learnit's name for its method. The idea is that workshops build on each other, so that "the skills acquired in each workshop contribute to a cohesive and comprehensive skill set over time." The home page describes it as a "31-year methodology" that "combines live expert facilitation with a skill-stacking approach that builds complementary skills over time." Its three-step model reads: mindset first, then "Live, expert-led workshops that stack into capability instead of one-off training days", and finally lasting behaviors: "The goal is not completing a course. It is changing how people work on Monday."

The company's blog explains the classroom side of this. It says Learnit's sessions start from the problems participants face daily, and that "Our facilitators create psychological safety that makes learning stick."

The On-Demand Library

For a training-libraries reader, the self-paced catalog is the second half of the offer. The home page: "Enjoy 150+ self-paced video workshops taught by Learnit experts," available 24/7. The TeamPass description refers to "hundreds of on-demand workshops", so the two figures sit side by side on the same page. Either way, the videos let people who cannot attend a scheduled session learn at any hour.

TeamPass Membership

Learnit packages access as a membership. The home page says "TeamPass means unlimited live learning", with the explanation: "Gain immediate, actionable skills with live experts and hundreds of on-demand workshops. Easily scale your learning program to meet organizational goals." So an organization buys a membership for its people, and they attend live workshops and use the video catalog under it. The site has a pricing page and separate terms and cancellations, but no prices appear on the pages read here; the main route in is a call with a learning consultant.

AI Skills Programs

AI is the newest and most prominent part of the catalog. Four programs are described:

  • AI Essentials Training: "A live, 60-minute session that shows your team what AI actually is, how it works, and where it can help in the work they already do. No jargon. No fear. No paid tools required."
  • AI Kickstarter Workshops: "Four 90-minute workshops that get your people, technical or not, building real things with AI, with governance guardrails leaders need to say yes and a reported ROI you can take to your board." Elsewhere the site calls it the "Only AI training program that pays for itself", which is the company's own claim.
  • AI Leadership Accelerator: "A four-week working program for leaders who have seen what AI can do and now need to bring their teams along."
  • The Human Advantage: "A twelve-week cohort program that builds the five capabilities AI cannot replicate."

A free live webinar on measuring AI adoption, scheduled for October 8th and run by the company's Chief AI Learning Officer, shows the angle: Learnit sells AI training to leaders who need to justify the investment.

Manager Training

The manager program is the other major track. The site says it helps "Develop confident new managers with Learnit's interactive training. Build leadership, boost performance, and drive business impact." One case study shows what that looks like at scale: "Autodesk's Trust team partnered with Learnit on a six-part leadership training series that equipped managers with skills to thrive in a remote-first environment," tackling "siloed teams, shifting priorities, and communication gaps with a practical, layered approach to leadership growth." A customer from Bay City Electric Works singles out one class: "Leadership should be REQUIRED to take Learnit's class, Build Trust with Your Team."

Outcomes and Learner Feedback

The home page reports three figures: "2 M+ professionals trained at the world's best companies", a "4.8 /5 average learner satisfaction score", and "30 + years of live, expert-led learning". Testimonials focus on the facilitators. One learner writes that "the way the facilitators deliver the message is simple, understandable, clear, and effective." Another, who had used Excel and PowerPoint for decades, says: "I learned that I did not. I was just excited all day long having these a-ha moments."

Resources and Support

Around the training, Learnit publishes articles, eBooks, success stories, the Learn-It-All podcast hosted by its CEO, the Learnit Lounge podcast for HR and L&D leaders, a newsletter and a book on leadership. Free live learning sessions are listed under events. The site gives separate phone lines for sales and support and a contact form for program questions.

Who It Suits

Learnit suits organizations that believe their people learn better with a live facilitator: companies developing new managers, teams rolling out AI tools that need both basic literacy and a leadership plan, and offices where staff need sharper Excel, SharePoint or PowerPoint skills. The 2-hour blocks fit into a working day, and the stacking model suits a program run over weeks or months rather than a single training day.

It suits a team that only wants a large self-serve video library less well: the on-demand catalog is a complement to the live workshops, not the main event. Buyers who need a price before talking to anyone will have to go through a learning consultant.
