Kompetens Express

What It Is

Kompetens Express is a Swedish-language library of ready-made e-courses for managers and employees, sold to organizations and, for single courses, to individuals. Its own description, from the About section on every page: "Vi erbjuder färdiga e-kurser inom ledarskap, arbetsmiljö och kommunikation för chefer och medarbetare, som kan integreras i ert LMS som SCORM-fil eller köpas via länk i vår lärportal Express Academy®." In English: it offers ready-made e-courses in leadership, work environment and communication for managers and employees, which can be integrated into the customer's LMS as a SCORM file or bought via a link in its learning portal, Express Academy.

The company behind it is Kompetens Express AB, which calls itself a specialist in making learning more effective with e-courses and complementary tools ("Vi är specialister på att effektivisera lärandet med hjälp av e-kurser och kompletterande verktyg"). The home page headline is about digital leadership development "när det passar dig" (when it suits you), and its tagline promises e-learning that is flexible, engaging and quality-assured.

The reader here is an HR or L&D team that wants finished courses on people skills and workplace topics, in Swedish, without commissioning its own production.

The Course Library

The library is narrow on purpose. The home page says: "Vi släpper löpande e-kurser inom ledarskap, kommunikation, arbetsmiljö och effektivitet" (we continuously release e-courses in leadership, communication, work environment and efficiency). The course menu breaks the offer into all e-courses, group licenses, single licenses, an onboarding package, work environment courses, and an option to adapt course content to the customer's own wishes.

One recent example is a new course on successful company culture, "Framgångsrik företagskultur". The home page lists what it covers: the importance of healthy behaviors, how everyone can help shape company culture, the factors that affect wellbeing, and what successful collaboration requires. The e-learning page adds that the catalog covers leadership, communication, work environment and effective learning, and that new courses are added continuously.

A detail that sets the company apart is its reference group. When a new e-course starts production, Kompetens Express runs free workshops where customers can follow the production and influence the content ("där du kan vara med och följa produktionen samt påverka innehållet").

How the Courses Work

The site's page on e-learning explains the format. Courses run on a computer, smartphone or tablet, and typically combine photos, graphics, video, text and sound. The company's case for its e-courses is that they hold the same quality as classroom training but with digital advantages: packaging knowledge into a course makes it more concise, learners can repeat material many times, go back to the most relevant parts and skip others, and nobody has to travel. Depending on how a course is built, some adaptation to learning style may also be possible.

Learners also get access to course documents, according to the same page.

Delivery: SCORM File or Express Academy

There are two ways to buy. The e-learning page puts it simply: a customer can either buy a SCORM file to install in its own LMS, or pay for individual licenses accessed through the company's web-based learning portal ("köpa loss en scormfil för att installera i ett eget LMS (Learning Management System) eller betala för enstka licenser som du får tillgång till via vår webbaserade lärportal").

The home page sorts this into four routes:

• Single e-courses (Enstaka e-kurser): bought on the website with immediate access. The site runs a webshop with a cart priced in kronor.
• E-courses for groups: licenses bought at company level.
• Ready-made e-courses for your own LMS: the SCORM route.
• Express Academy e-courses online: the hosted portal, with its own login.

For administrators, the e-learning page says the customer can evaluate the course and download statistics for participants. So an organization without an LMS can still track who took a course through Express Academy.

WorkshopPro: Digital Workshops

Beside the self-paced courses, Kompetens Express sells WorkshopPro®, described on the home page as "Digitala workshops utan förberedelser" (digital workshops without preparation). The menu lists five versions: Feedback, Learning culture (Lärkultur), Leadership, Work environment for managers, and Work environment for employees.

The site shows how the two products combine. A current offer for building a feedback culture pairs the e-course with a digital workshop leader: buy the e-course and combine it with 3 digital workshops, and, before 31 December, one digital workshop is included so the customer can try the concept free. The page argues that the e-course together with a digital workshop leader moves the culture "hela vägen" (all the way).

Blended E-learning and Evaluation

The company describes its method as Blended e-learning: start from e-courses and build on them with other learning methods to strengthen the effect ("Utgå från e-kurser och bygg på med andra lärmetoder"). The site says more methods make learning over time possible, with clear learning paths.

Evaluation is part of the offer. Under the heading "Säkerställ effekten av era e-kurser" (ensure the effect of your e-courses), the home page says customers can evaluate what participants actually take with them, and how it is used in practice ("Utvärdera vad deltagarna faktiskt tar med sig"), using the company's surveys. A "Maximize e-learning" section collects articles for HR, a podcast about effective learning, a guide from start to finish, and a page on evaluating an e-course.

Ledaranalysen

For leadership programs, Kompetens Express offers Ledaranalysen™, a tool for mapping needs. The home page says it shows which competencies a general leader or manager needs, gives insight into the organization's leadership competence, and points directly to which competencies can be improved to strengthen the leadership role. In practice it works as a starting point for choosing which leadership courses to assign.

Support, Webinars and Pricing

The company runs free webinars with practical tips, keeps a knowledge bank of articles on key competence areas, publishes customer case stories, and sends a newsletter. Quotes are requested through a contact form on the site. Single courses are sold through the webshop; the site does not print license prices.

Who It Suits

Kompetens Express suits Swedish-speaking organizations that need ready-made training on leadership, communication, feedback and work environment, for managers as well as staff. A company with an LMS can load the SCORM files; a smaller one without an LMS can buy group licenses in Express Academy and still get participant statistics. HR teams that want more than a click-through course can add WorkshopPro sessions and the follow-up surveys.

It is not a broad library: there is no technical, IT or sales catalog here, and everything is in Swedish, so international or English-speaking teams are outside its audience.
