Aleido
Tap a star to rate
Aleido is a company with two lines of business: aftermarket and technical product information for manufacturers, and learning solutions for organizations that train staff. This entry is about the learning side, and in particular its off-the-shelf e-learning library, which the UK site describes as "Ready-made training. Real business impact." The library gives "instant access to professionally designed online training courses covering compliance, leadership, health and safety, IT skills, information security and more," ready to run in a customer's existing LMS or in Aleido's own Svelte LMS. The reader is an L&D, HR or compliance team that needs workplace training rolled out quickly without commissioning every course. Aleido lists offices and markets in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Hungary and China, with a UK office in Warwick and a contact address in Göteborg.
What the course library covers
The library is organized into nine suites:
- Compliance: legal and regulatory topics "such as anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, GDPR, whistleblowing and modern slavery."
- Diversity and inclusion: equality, diversity, inclusion, unconscious bias and respectful workplace behavior.
- Fundamental management skills: for "new and aspiring managers", covering leading people, managing performance and building teams.
- Health and safety: essential responsibilities and safe working practices.
- Information security and data protection: recognizing threats, protecting sensitive information and meeting data protection obligations.
- IT skills: everyday workplace technology and digital productivity.
- Mental health awareness: wellbeing, reducing stigma and knowing when and how to offer support.
- Performance management and leadership: motivating teams, managing performance and communicating.
- Travel safety and security: managing risks before, during and after business travel, at home and abroad.
The page says courses are "created by subject experts and learning specialists using proven instructional design principles," and that they use "interactive activities, realistic scenarios, knowledge checks and engaging visuals," designed "to encourage participation rather than passive reading." Customers can combine courses into "tailored learning pathways" that match business goals.
Deployment and upkeep
The argument for the library is stated plainly on the page: "Not every training requirement needs a bespoke solution." Ready-made courses are pitched as a fast, cost-effective way to cover essential workplace training, whether a team needs to strengthen compliance, develop leaders, improve digital capability or support employee wellbeing. Delivery is meant to be light work for the buyer. The courses are "mobile-friendly, SCORM and LMS compatible," and they "integrate with most Learning Management Systems or can be delivered through Aleido's Svelte platform, with courses available in industry-standard formats." Updates are handled centrally: the page says the library is "regularly reviewed and updated to reflect legislative changes, industry best practice and emerging workplace topics," so customers do not manage content updates themselves. The catalog is "available in multiple languages" and supported by learning specialists. A "Request a free trial" link lets a team try the courses before buying, and an "Explore our courses" link leads to the full catalog.
The UK page notes that many organizations "begin with ready-made courses before introducing bespoke learning for specialist topics." Aleido offers both, so a customer can start with the library and add custom courses later. The bespoke side covers e-learning design and development, graphics, video and animation, and blended learning.
The learning platforms
Aleido's LMS page presents three platforms and says "one size does not fit all." Across them, a customer can "update courses, assign training to specific individuals, and monitor learning progress," with "clear performance data dashboards and reports." The more powerful options add detailed learner metrics for addressing skills gaps, targeted learning campaigns, "intelligent content recommendations, peer collaboration and gamified rewards." All of them offer customization for branding and existing software architecture, backed by learning advisors and developers.
Svelte is the streamlined option and Aleido's own: "a highly configurable Learning management system" for "any organisation who needs an easy way to launch and access online courses in a few clicks." The page is candid that Svelte "is not an Enterprise LMS" but is used by large and small organizations "partly because of its userfriendliness and affordability," adding that "One instance of Svelte is currently being used in over 100 countries" and that it is mobile friendly.
Astute LXP is "a data-driven learning experience platform" that gives learners personalized e-learning content and "essential off the shelf training." Beyond launch and tracking, it makes "smart recommendations of learning materials," offers learner performance insights, and "automates learner registration, reminders, and progress reporting," with global language options and tools to connect to existing workflows and systems.
Totara is the advanced option, which the page says Aleido brings "to all nordic countries." The page describes it as three integrated tools, "an enterprise LMS, a social and collaborative learning platform, and a portal for performance and skills management," which is "Highly customisable to your systems, needs and workflows." Aleido also offers e-learning authoring tools.
Consultancy
For teams that want help beyond content and software, Aleido offers L&D consultancy and team support: training needs analysis, strategy development, competency design, marketing and roll-out support, and training evaluation. The UK site lists the sectors its learning work serves, from charities and education to finance, construction, government and health, manufacturing, retail, transport and travel.
Company scale and contact
The UK library page says Aleido has "more than 30 years of experience in digital learning" across the public, private and third sectors. The group homepage gives broader figures for the whole company: "40 years of solid experience", "800+ colleagues", "15 locations", "6 countries" and "350+ customers covering 10+ industries". Those numbers describe all of Aleido, including its product information business, not only the learning team. The UK page names an LMS and off-the-shelf sales and marketing manager as the contact, with a form and a Warwick phone number.
Prices for the courses and platforms are not listed; buying starts with a free trial request or a contact form.
Who it suits
Aleido's library suits an organization that needs a standard set of workplace and compliance courses running soon, in an LMS it already owns or in Svelte. A mid-sized UK employer covering GDPR, anti-bribery, health and safety and mental health awareness, or a company preparing staff for business travel, will find those topics ready-made. Teams that later need specialist content can add bespoke e-learning from the same supplier, and those that want a platform can choose between Svelte for simplicity, Astute for a personalized learning experience, or Totara for enterprise talent management. Buyers looking for a large technical or professional skills catalog should check the course list first, since the suites focus on core workplace topics.
