Szkoła z Klasą (School with Class) is an educational foundation, Fundacja Szkoła z Klasą, whose e-learning platform offers free online courses for teachers and other educators. The platform's own description reads "Bezpłatne kursy online z certyfikatem dla nauczycieli i nauczycielek, dla edukatorów" (free online courses with a certificate for teachers and educators). The courses are grouped into the foundation's programs and cover mindfulness, health, intercultural education, the integration of students with migration and refugee experience, play, school spaces and digital citizenship.
The platform is in Polish, and teachers register and log in to take a course. Every course card on the home page states three things: its length ("Czas trwania"), whether it is certified ("Certyfikowany", with TAK for yes or NIE for no) and whether it is free ("Bezpłatny: TAK"). Every course shown is marked free, and all but one are marked certified, meaning the course ends with a certificate from the foundation. To receive it, a teacher submits a request to verify completion ("Prośba o weryfikację ukończenia kursów") with their name and email. A full course page, like the mindfulness course below, adds the level, the number of lessons and tests, and how many participants have enrolled.
The foundation organizes its course offering around several thematic programs addressing key educational needs. The Krople Uważności (Mindfulness Drops) program focuses on mindfulness and compassion practices in schools. The Niewidoczne historie (Invisible Stories) program addresses intercultural competence and empathy. The Program Asy Internetu covers digital citizenship and safe internet use. The Razem w Klasie (Together in Class) program provides materials and training for supporting students with migration and refugee backgrounds. The Zdrowie z Klasą (Health with Class) program teaches teachers to support student health and wellness across multiple dimensions.
The main course of the Mindfulness Drops program, titled Spokój nauczycielski. Uważność w szkole (Classroom Calm. Mindfulness in School), runs for 10 hours and is designated for all proficiency levels. The course comprises 21 lessons and 4 tests. The course page counts 2232 participants ("2232 kursantów"). The course teaches teachers to develop their own personal mindfulness practice, brings mindfulness into everyday classroom work, leads students through brief mindfulness practices suited to their needs, and helps build a school environment that welcomes mindfulness. The course is certified, and it was developed jointly by Fundacja Szkoła z Klasą and Fundacja Edumind Uważność w edukacji. It is taught by 2 instructors. Ewa Sanko Orłowska, the author of the course materials, has run mindfulness and compassion courses for adults and young people for over ten years ("Od ponad dziesięciu lat") in the MBSR, MBLC, CBLC and MBLC-YA paths, and is a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication. Dorota Piasecka is an experienced mindfulness trainer certified in MBLC, CBLC, MBLC-YA and Mindful Compassionate Parenting. The page recommends spending a few days on each topic ("Rekomendujemy poświęcić kilka dni na każdy temat") and, in the first module, even a week per exercise, practicing with the recorded meditations.
The Health with Class program helps teachers support student health across multiple critical dimensions. The course W dialogu o zdrowiu. Jak wspierać młodych ludzi w szkole? (In Dialogue About Health. How to Support Young People in School) runs for 10 hours and is certified. The course equips teachers with practical knowledge, scenarios, and tools for discussing health with students and developing their health competencies. Content covers 5 major health topics: physical activity, healthy eating, mental health, effects of climate change on health, and digital hygiene. Teachers gain practical guidance for daily school work supporting health in these areas.
In the Invisible Stories program, the course Zobaczyć to, co niewidoczne. Międzykulturowość w szkole (See the Invisible. Interculturality in School) spans 4 hours and is certified. The course broadens teachers' knowledge of interculturality and empathy and provides practical tools for instruction. Teachers learn to support students' critical and reflective approach to contemporary narratives about migration.
Specialized courses address neurodiversity and inclusive language. The Neuroróżnorodność i uważność (Neurodiversity and Mindfulness) course lasts 2 hours and is certified. It teaches teachers what neurodiversity is, why surrounding children with mindful adults matters for their development, how mindfulness helps relationships with autistic children and those with ADHD, and how to adapt mindfulness practices for neurodiverse students. The Język wspiera integrację (Language Supports Integration) course, also 2 hours and certified, teaches how language shapes reality, what inclusive language is and why it matters, and how to bring equitable language into school practice to support student integration.
Additional professional development offerings cover pedagogy and classroom practice. Uczyć się czy bawić? (Learning or Play?) explores the role of play in education, its benefits, challenges, and how to build classroom climates that support play. Design Thinking w szkole (Design Thinking in School) teaches the design thinking methodology and how to support student participation. Wsparcie dobrostanu uczniów w wielokulturowych klasach (Supporting Student Well-being in Multicultural Classes) addresses well-being specifically in diverse classroom settings. Trudności z dyscypliną w klasie wielokulturowej (Classroom Discipline Challenges in Multicultural Classes) helps teachers analyze difficult situations linked to the different stages of acculturation, including the differences between Polish and Ukrainian culture and how they can affect building an intercultural class. Most of these courses run 2 hours, with Design Thinking at 1 hour.
A comprehensive course titled Przestrzenie edukacji 21 (Educational Spaces 21) spans 20 hours and teaches teachers to plan and implement learning environment changes in their schools step by step, providing tools and inspiration for creating modern learning spaces. The Razem w Klasie (Together in Class) program includes several 2-hour courses providing educational materials and activities for daily classroom work with students from migration and refugee backgrounds, with special attention to supporting Ukrainian children. These materials address the 4W model (4 foundations of multicultural schools and classes) and MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support).
Digital citizenship education is offered through 2 courses. The Kurs cyfrowego obywatelstwa (Digital Citizenship Course, 2021-2022 edition) spans 8 weeks and is certified. Teachers increase knowledge about the internet and technology, learn what children do online and why, develop skills to discuss online safety with students, and access methods and materials for teaching digital citizenship. The Kurs Cyfrowego Bezpieczeństwa i Obywatelstwa (Digital Safety and Citizenship Course, 2019-2021 edition) runs 3 hours but is not certified. This course helps teachers teach students to evaluate information source credibility, recognize digital threats, and use digital media more safely, preparing students to become conscious and responsible internet users.
Every course on the platform is marked "Bezpłatny: TAK" (free). The Asy Internetu program, in its 2026/2027 edition, uses the platform as a guide to the program: participants find educational materials (films, stories, handbooks), an offer of free training and a certificate of participation in the program.
The foundation's correspondence address is pl. Konstytucji 2/100, 00-552 Warszawa, and the platform lists +48 518 287 625 and support@szkolazklasa.org.pl as contacts, with a help section ("Pomoc") in the menu. Unless stated otherwise, the materials on the site are published under a Creative Commons license (CC-BY-SA 4.0), so teachers can reuse them with attribution.
Szkoła z Klasą suits Polish-speaking teachers seeking professional development in areas like teacher well-being, student mental health, intercultural competence, and digital literacy. It works particularly well for teachers in increasingly diverse schools needing training on supporting students with migration backgrounds. Because every course is free, a school can point its whole staff at the same course.
It suits less well a teacher who does not read Polish, since the courses and the platform are in Polish. The certificate is the foundation's own, so a teacher who needs a formally recognized credential should treat it as proof of completion. And it is a catalog of the foundation's programs, not a platform where a school can publish its own courses.
