Twenix

Tap a star to rate

Twenix is an online language school for working adults, built around short one-to-one conversation classes with a live teacher. Its homepage, written in Spanish, says it helps companies and professionals learn languages online without wasting time, money or patience, with a method made for real life. Most of the site speaks to companies, and in particular to Spanish companies that pay for training through FUNDAE credits, but individuals can buy class packages too. The company behind it is Twenix Platform, S.L.

Twenix teaches English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian. The teacher pages explain that English came first and is still the core language, that the other five are newer additions, and that Portuguese means European Portuguese.

How the classes work

The core format is a one-to-one class of 26 minutes, focused on speaking from the first minute. The homepage lists four selling points: 26-minute 1:1 classes for fluency, online flexibility 24/7, learning built around the learner, and quick, centralized management for HR. Students can book at any hour, and the site describes training "sin horarios," with no fixed timetable.

Content comes from a library the homepage counts at more than 1,200 microcourses, and level, pace and topic are adjusted from the first class. According to the FAQ, you do not need a minimum level: Twenix assesses your level first and sets your starting point, whether you begin from zero or already have a base. Teachers are trained in the company's own conversational method, which the homepage says teaches them when to correct and when to let you talk, and they specialize in workplace situations such as meetings, emails, presentations and feedback. The site says you see your progress class by class.

Every language follows the same conversational method, and the site offers a trial so you can see how it works before committing. A short manifesto on the homepage sums up the approach: learning a language is about daring to use it rather than memorizing rules, fluency is won by speaking rather than piling up hours of theory, and the language has to serve you in real meetings and calls. The homepage also sets its own model against "Otras plataformas" (other platforms) in a feature table that ticks 26-minute professional classes, 24/7 scheduling, teachers with workplace experience, FUNDAE credit management, AI support and an HR progress panel.

For companies

Company training is where Twenix puts most of its detail. Plans are personalized by number of people, goals and training pace, and the FAQ says the company pays only for what it uses. The training is described as 100% bonificable, meaning it can be fully covered by FUNDAE training credits, and Twenix handles the paperwork. The homepage says its team manages more than 5,000 FUNDAE courses a year.

The FAQ is direct about HR workload: minimal. Twenix takes care of onboarding, license management, user changes, follow-up and the subsidy, while HR keeps visibility and control. Companies get a progress dashboard showing each employee's results, and the homepage pitches the service as scalable for large teams.

Two add-ons extend the core classes. iAcademix is an AI tool that picks up each learner's mistakes and turns them into personalized content for the next conversation; the page notes it is available as a complement to company English training. Twenix Hub, listed in the menu, offers English content to a whole team.

The homepage backs this with figures: more than 1,500 companies using Twenix, more than 2.6M classes delivered, more than 60,000 students in total, and, lower on the page, more than 35,000 professionals improving their language skills. HR testimonials sit beside satisfaction numbers: 83% student satisfaction, a 4.9/5 average rating for teachers, 75% of employees reporting more confidence speaking, and 99.5% of users covered by FUNDAE. One HR business partner, Gema García, says she always tells teams to book a Twenix class before any meeting with other countries because it helps them loosen up in English.

For individuals

Private learners buy bonos de clases, packages of classes, choosing how many sessions they want and using them freely. The menu links to an online English course page with its own pricing section. One learner review on the teacher page describes using "my package of 24" to work on "the most common mistakes in both pronunciation and grammar."

Teaching for Twenix

Twenix also recruits freelance tutors, and its teacher pages are the most detailed part of the site in English. Teachers are paid for every class, with "no freebie trial classes," and can start teaching and earning as soon as they are hired, because the platform matches them with students automatically. There is "No admin tasks, no lesson prep, no marking homework, no student hunting": materials are ready in every class.

Teachers open as many or as few slots as they like, can take bookings with a 15-minute lead time, and can pass a class to another available teacher at short notice without penalty. One reviewer notes that if a student cancels within less than 2 hours, the teacher is paid in full. The page gives example pay rates that vary by country: 12-15€/hour in the UK and 8-10€/hour in Argentina, plus incentives that can lift earnings by more than 20%. Each language has its own rate. Teachers invoice monthly on the platform and are paid through Wise or Payoneer.

The application has three steps: an application form, short recorded video tasks, and an onboarding program. Certification is not required, since Twenix provides ongoing training, and the company says a business background is "a big plus." You need a computer with a stable connection above 5Mbps, a headset or microphone, speakers and a webcam. Applications are accepted all year, but the main hiring periods run from February to May and September to November. Fluent speakers can apply to teach more than one language, each through its own recruitment.

Teacher reviews are warm and specific. Bibi, a former journalist, writes that "you truly learn as much as you teach," and another tutor describes "Easy and super-fast payment!" A Tweacher Support Center covers classes, payments and technical issues, with a separate support area for students.

Who it suits

Twenix fits professionals who need to speak more confidently at work and can spare 26 minutes at odd hours, and HR teams at Spanish companies that want subsidized language training with the administration handled for them. The reporting dashboard and the scale figures make it a realistic option for large teams. For teachers, it is a flexible freelance job with published sample rates and no lesson planning.

The short class length is the main trade-off: it suits frequent speaking practice better than long grammar sessions. The site prints no package prices for individuals; the FAQ says the price depends on your needs.
