What RapL is

RapL is a mobile-first microlearning platform for companies that need frontline, sales and field staff to know their products, processes and rules, and to keep knowing them months after onboarding. It calls itself "The Workforce Enablement Platform," and the home page sums up the offer as "One Platform for Training, Knowledge, and Workforce Performance." The buyer is an L&D team, a sales enablement lead or an operations manager rolling training out to a large, spread-out workforce, not an individual learner and not a creator selling courses. The copyright line names the company as RapL Inc.

The idea running through the site is reinforcement rather than one-off courses. Instead of a long annual module, employees get short lessons and questions on their phone, a few minutes at a time, and the system keeps returning to the topics each person has not yet mastered. The home page promises a culture of continuous learning "by spending only a few minutes a day."

How learning works in the app

The "Learn & Reinforce" pillar on the home page combines bite-sized microlearning, spaced repetition and gamification. The company's own 2023 review of virtual training platforms explains the mechanics in more detail. RapL is described there as an AI-driven, adaptive platform that personalizes content to each user's progress. It analyzes where a learner is struggling and keeps bringing those specific questions back over time until the employee answers them with high confidence. The engine deliberately spaces the repeats so that a correct answer reflects memory rather than recency, which is how RapL targets the forgetting curve. The same article calls this a flipped learning model, where people spend their time on what they have forgotten or never knew rather than on material they already have.

Content can be delivered in many formats. The blog lists videos, audio, images and infographics, documents, presentations, surveys, assignments and polls, tests, and microlearning built around scenarios. Training teams can choose from thousands of ready-to-use scenarios to build a learning path or create their own from scratch. One customer, A. Dave, Senior Director of Quality Engineering in an infrastructure solutions group, says on the home page that "RapL lets us create custom modules to train on complex topics, helping our team master challenges by presenting scenarios and effectively explaining the correct outcomes."

Gamification is a large part of the experience. The blog mentions leaderboards and badges that make learning more social across teams, and the home page adds recognition and rewards under its "Engage & Motivate" pillar. A retail L&D manager quoted on the home page, C. Kaushik, singles out the daily quiz: "The support team swiftly resolves issues, the app's upskilling process and underlying science are excellent, and I appreciate the customizable daily quiz system."

The app itself carries a 4.8/5.0 rating across the Play Store and App Store, from 26k+ reviews according to the home page. The 2023 blog says RapL has native support for 23 languages in the app and in content, and offers different learning paths so content can be matched to each learner's role.

RapL Genie and field intelligence

Beyond training, RapL adds two tools aimed at the working day. RapL Genie is an AI assistant for every employee. The home page says it gives "instant, accurate answers via RapL Genie anytime, in any language," and describes it as guiding staff on what to know, keeping them updated and answering their questions.

Field Intelligence works in the other direction. According to the home page it "captures on-ground data, identifies issues, and alerts people in real time," and it can "automatically deliver timely updates to the right people for immediate action." For a company with stores, dealerships or sites in many places, that turns the app into a channel for reporting problems up and pushing fixes back down.

Assignment, reporting and integrations

For managers, RapL's main promise is visibility into what people do not know. The home page talks about finding and fixing knowledge gaps "with real-time visibility for managers," and its "Measure & Act" pillar says insights and knowledge maps help managers make timely decisions. The blog describes an analytics dashboard covering usage, topic completion and knowledge gaps, with learning paths monitored at the individual level so L&D managers can see who is proficient and who needs help. S. Gulzar, AVP Training, is quoted on the home page saying "Uploading content is effortless and tracking completion is beneficial to managers" and that "The dashboard details are excellent to drive performance."

Content and tests are assigned by role or group. The company's own 2023 review lists this as a dislike and says individual-level assignment was on its roadmap; it also notes that options to change the look of the app are limited and that reporting was still being expanded.

On integrations, the blog says RapL has multiple ready-to-use integrations and builds custom ones on request. Single sign-on runs over OpenID Connect, which the blog says lets RapL work with identity providers such as Azure AD and SAP.

Security

The site states that RapL holds ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, issued after independent third-party review, and that it has a SOC 2 Type II report.

Industries and results

The home page lists retail, FMCG, automotive, banking and financial services, facility and property management, healthcare and biosciences, manufacturing, technology and IT services, and transportation and logistics as the sectors it serves, and the solutions menu adds eCommerce, hospitality and safety and compliance. The case studies on the home page match that list: a global automotive company that grew sales per dealership by 20% with RapL, a premium jewelry retailer, and a pet care retailer in India that adopted continuous training. The home page also states that RapL is deployed in 30+ countries and trusted by over 300,000 users.

Pricing, trial and support

There is no public price list. The 2023 blog describes a subscription model customized to each business's use case, offers administrators and trainers a free trial with expertly created sample topics, and points buyers to a demo or a custom-built plan. Support is a selling point on the home page, which lists proactive support and a help center, and the blog says the customer success team is appreciated for resolving issues quickly. The contact form promises a reply within 24 hours during the week, or on Monday morning for a weekend request.

Who it suits and who it does not

RapL fits companies with large numbers of frontline, sales or field employees who need product knowledge, procedures and compliance rules to stick: dealership networks, retail chains, banks, healthcare and logistics operations. Spaced repetition and daily quizzes suit topics where forgetting is expensive, and the field intelligence and Genie features make it more than a course player.

It is a weaker match for organizations that want long-form courses, a large library of general business courses, or tight control over the app's branding, which the company itself lists as limited. Assignment by role or group, rather than to named individuals, is the model the company describes. And it is not a tool for selling courses: everything about it is built for training a company's own staff.
