What SC Training is

SC Training is a mobile-first microlearning LMS for training frontline teams, and it is the product formerly called EdApp. The site's title reads "SC Training (formerly EdApp): The Mobile LMS", the footer carries a page headed "EdApp is now SC Training", and both EdApp and SC Training logins and help centers are still offered. A banner at the top of the current site also announces "SC Training is now Mitti", so the brand is changing again; the rest of the site still uses the SC Training name.

The pitch on the homepage is "Training built for frontline teams": onboard, train and upskill people in less than 5 minutes a day, so that every worker can take training when it suits them. It is aimed at companies whose staff work away from a desk. The course library is described as 1,000+ editable SafetyCulture courses, and the site presents the product as an all-in-one operations and training platform that uses operational data from frontline teams to spot gaps and turn them into training.

Building courses

The Creator Tool covers creating, editing and updating courses, and the homepage says it is built on learning science so that frontline training sticks. It offers 80+ microlearning, mobile-first templates, mandatory, recurring and in-person course types, default logos and branding across several brands, and no design or coding work. The older EdApp features page describes the same tool as having "no developer, no code and no complexity", with immersive, fully interactive templates ready for video, text and images and gamification built in, and a PowerPoint conversion that turns uploaded slides into mobile lessons. Canva is integrated, putting millions of images inside the lesson editor.

AI speeds up the first draft. The homepage lists AI-powered course creation, including on mobile, AI file conversion from PDF, PPT and DOCX, automatic SOP detection and AI translation into 100+ languages, and says the AI engine can draft or rewrite text that the author then edits. The site claims training can be created up to 3x faster with ready-made courses and AI. A quiz maker called Rapid Refresh reinforces learning, and for teams short on time the in-house designers will build up to 5 custom lessons a month.

The course library

The library is the quickest start. The homepage offers 1,000+ courses across 25+ industries, including accredited courses that the site says are certified by industry experts and partnered courses from globally recognized leaders. The menus show OSHA refresher training, HACCP training, harassment prevention, UNITAR courses and a diversity and inclusion series with Karamo, and industry collections for manufacturing, agriculture, mining, automotive, retail, construction, sales, food hospitality, safety risk management, healthcare and transport and logistics. The EdApp features page names partner courses on gender equality from UNITAR, food sustainability from Marley Spoon and responsible bartending from the makers of Absolut Vodka, and stresses that every library course is fully editable, from a single sentence to a whole lesson, so a company can rebrand and adapt it.

What learners get

Lessons are short and built for the phone, though they work in any browser. Push notifications announce new courses and remind people to finish, and courses can be shared with a link or a QR code. Engagement tools include leaderboards for individuals or groups, gamified question formats that score the top and fastest answers, with prizes available, in-lesson social learning where learners comment and add ideas on any slide, and peer contributions. Brain Boost, the platform's spaced repetition feature, automatically generates review lessons for the concepts an author marks as important. The EdApp features page also describes Real Rewards, where learners earn a virtual currency called Stars by completing courses and bid with it for digital gift vouchers such as Uber Eats, App Store or Amazon.

The homepage reports a 5-minute average time to complete a microlesson, an 82% average completion rate for a microlearning course, and training 17% more efficient than traditional, longer courses. These are the company's own figures.

Administration, compliance and reporting

For admins, the platform handles user permissions, user groups and sites for multi-location companies, automated reminders for mandatory and recurring training, and simplified SSO, with custom integrations available to Enterprise customers. Recurring courses, course versioning and expiry dates for certificates and credentials mean repeated training is set up once. In-person competency checks let a supervisor assess a worker's skills on the job and store the result next to their digital training record.

Reporting answers who completed what, when and by whom. Admins can store, search and download digital and in-person training data, see a team's competencies in a training matrix, and build dashboards through PowerBI and Tableau integrations. The older features page adds prerequisite rules, calendar settings, daily limits and minimum pass scores for learning paths, and actionable reports that prompt lagging learners with a push notification from the same screen. The features page also says the microlearning LMS can run on its own or be integrated into an existing LMS.

On security, the homepage lists end-to-end encryption with AES-256 and TLS 1.2+, ISO 27001 certification, AICPA SOC 2 Type II, training-specific permissions, SAML-based single sign-on, and built-in compliance, analytics and auditing tools. The features page adds that the platform is hosted on AWS. The site says hundreds of organizations with strict security requirements, including banks, government departments and healthcare facilities, trust it.

Pricing and customers

Sign-up is free, and the older features page describes EdApp as "free for you and your team. No credit card required." The site has a pricing page and offers demos, but the pages carry no price figures. Case studies cover Tennis Australia, which used the platform for the Australian Open, Sodexo, Deloitte, AXA Climate, Marley Spoon, Mizuno, Monica Vinader, Ryman Healthcare and others, and the industry pages include aged care, franchises, hospitality, pharma, insurance and the gig economy.

Who it suits

SC Training suits companies with frontline workforces that need short, phone-friendly training and proof of compliance: hospitality and retail chains, franchises, manufacturers, construction and mining firms, healthcare and aged care providers, and logistics operators. The editable library and AI tools help a small L&D team launch fast, and in-person competency checks, recurring courses and certificate expiry help where audits matter. Office teams that mostly need long, desk-based courses may find the microlearning format a narrower fit.
