What iTacit is

iTacit is a frontline workforce platform that puts training, compliance, communication and day-to-day operational workflows into one mobile app. Its home page promises to "Make frontline training easy to complete and compliance easy to prove," and describes the product as "one mobile-first platform built for frontline teams." The buyer is an HR, L&D, safety or operations team at an organization whose people work on job sites, manufacturing floors, in healthcare facilities and public services rather than at desks. The site says it is "Built for deskless and distributed teams with or without company email."

Training is one part of a wider loop. The home page lays out five steps that the platform connects: training assigned, a form or inspection completed, an issue or incident flagged, a follow-up assigned (corrective actions, training or tasks), and completion tracked, so that managers get visibility and the organization stays audit-ready.

Building courses

The LMS side of iTacit is built for short, mobile training. The manufacturing LMS page describes it as a "Mobile LMS Microlearning Platform" that puts "bite-sized chunks of skill-building content into the hands of your employees," and argues that short courses improve recall and let training teams respond faster because new courses take less time to build.

Courses are written in a built-in authoring tool. The page says "A simple drag and drop content editor will have your creating courses before your next coffee break," and that you can upload text, images, links and video "with no coding required." Courses can include gamification, quizzes and tests. Content made elsewhere comes in too: "iTacit is SCORM-compliant with Articulate Storyline and Captivate integrations," which matters for teams that buy off-the-shelf training or already build in those tools.

The feature list on the same page covers the LMS mobile app, communication features, course tracking, learning paths, asynchronous learning, course management, compliance training and tracking, certification management and blended learning, so classroom or in-person skill sessions can sit alongside the mobile modules. The home page adds that iTacit can "capture in-person skill development and respond with corrective actions in the field."

Selling courses and certifications

One feature stands out for an employer LMS. The eCommerce LMS integration lets an organization "Collect payment for courses and certifications with integrated payments," with vouchers and promo codes, through Stripe. The page pitches it as a way to offset the cost of course content, process paid employee certifications, or add a revenue stream from professional development courses.

Assigning, reminding and tracking

Compliance is where iTacit goes deepest. The compliance training FAQ explains how recurring requirements are handled: you can set repeating deadlines (yearly, quarterly and so on), the system can enroll employees automatically in required courses on their due dates, and different schedules can be set for specific groups or job roles. Employees get automated email or in-platform reminders as deadlines approach, and managers are alerted when team members are overdue. Training, communication and forms can be targeted by role, location or division.

The tracking covers course enrollment and start dates, test and assessment results, course completion and certification, and form and checklist completion. Reports work at three levels, individual, team or department, and the whole organization, with a real-time view of overdue items, completions and form submissions. The FAQ says compliance reports can be generated without extensive settings or a data analyst. Traceability goes past courses: the manufacturing page says you can "Audit read receipts on messages or run detailed usage reports on all employee activities within the platform." The home page also says policies, certifications, training and documentation stay "audit-ready and accessible in AI chat," and AI for Frontline Teams appears among the product features.

Beyond training: forms, safety and communication

The rest of the platform is what separates iTacit from a pure LMS. Daily Operations covers digital forms and sign-offs to standardize work. Safety and Compliance Tracking manages safety programs, certifications, corrective actions and audit-ready documentation. Certifications and Tracking follows renewals, qualifications and workforce readiness across locations and roles. Workforce Communication sends targeted updates and announcements, and a central knowledge base keeps changing regulations in one place. The company's Digital Safety Playbook covers how to digitalize JHAs, inspections and safety training without disrupting field operations.

The full product menu lists employee communications, engagement, training and LMS, social intranet, recruitment and onboarding, digital workplace, the employee app, health and safety management and iTacit Core Essentials, with use cases from crisis communication and employee surveys to digital work instructions and digital performance reviews.

Mobile, web and security

Employees use iOS and Android apps, alongside the web platform, to take courses, receive reminders and track their progress, and the interface adapts to phones and tablets. On access control, the FAQ lists role-based access control, least-privilege access, encryption of data in transit and at rest, and regular security audits.

Customers and industries

The home page names transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, the public sector, construction, and energy and utilities as its frontline industries, and the industries menu adds government, logistics, nonprofit, automotive, franchise operators, real estate, and banking and financial services. Case studies are listed for Seaboard Transport, Medavie, Northwood and Shannex, and a featured story covers how Prevail uses iTacit in mental health. Ben Hunter, Manager of EMP Education Programs, is quoted saying "The system has an integrated authoring tool and also handles SCORM really well" and that "reporting data is easy to extract into external dashboards."

Getting started

Pricing has its own page in the site menu; the product pages route buyers to a customized demo, and the site offers a free demo of the platform with one of its experts. A support line and a customer success commitment page are listed for existing customers.

Who it suits and who it does not

iTacit suits organizations with large deskless workforces in regulated or safety-heavy settings: transport fleets, healthcare, manufacturing plants, construction and utilities. It is strongest where training has to be proven, renewed on a schedule and tied to inspections and corrective actions, and where many workers have no company email. The Stripe payments add a route for employers that charge for certification courses.

It is more than a team needs if it only wants a simple course library for office staff who already live in email and a web LMS; much of iTacit's value is in the forms, safety and communication tools wrapped around the courses.
