What it is

Workademy is a cloud learning management system for companies of roughly 50 to 2,000 employees. Its FAQ describes it as "an AI-powered learning management system (LMS) designed for growing teams and enterprises across Europe", and the corporate LMS page places it between basic tools that are "too simple" and enterprise platforms that are "too complicated." The team behind it is based in Berlin. The About section names Olga Filipova as co-founder and CEO and Rui Vilão as co-founder and CTO, two software engineers with "15+ years of experience in engineering and 7+ years spent engaged deeply in e-learning."

The product is built around one idea: that the slowest part of corporate training is writing the courses. Workademy pairs AI course creation with HR system integrations and analytics, so an L&D team can draft a course quickly, assign it automatically by role or department, and report on the results.

What you get

AI course creation. The home page headline promises to "Create Employee Training Courses 5x Faster with AI". According to the FAQ, the AI generates course outlines and structure, creates training content, suggests topics and learning paths, and cuts course creation time "by up to 80%". The company's AI guide explains the method: the team defines the business outcome and the role being trained, the AI applies backward design and SMART learning outcomes, and it produces modules, lesson text, quiz questions tied to the objectives, dialog-based scenarios and video scripts in about 5 to 15 minutes. The guide says the platform uses Claude (Anthropic) and GPT-4 for course generation.

The company is candid that the draft is a starting point. The guide says the AI does not know a company's culture, internal processes or product details, and that teams should expect 3 to 8 hours of editing to add their own examples, terminology, screenshots and links. Editing happens inline in a WYSIWYG editor, and the AI checks that objectives, assessments and content stay aligned as the course changes. For compliance material, the guide says Workademy has built-in approval workflows so content is reviewed before it is published.

Course formats. The FAQ lists videos, text, quizzes, interactive dialogs, downloadable resources and gamified elements. The "dialog-based learning" format, a conversation-style course, is one the company calls unique to Workademy. Typical uses named on the site are onboarding, compliance training (GDPR, security, industry regulations), skills development, product and sales training, customer education and process documentation such as SOPs.

HR system sync and automation. The home page lists native integrations with Personio, HiBob, BambooHR, Deel and Rippling, and the corporate LMS page adds PeopleForce and Alexis HR. Capabilities vary by integration: the corporate LMS page says Personio syncs names, emails and departments once per day and supports certificate uploads. When a new hire is added to the HR system, onboarding training is triggered automatically and can start before day one. Role changes and departures sync too, courses can be auto-assigned by department, role or custom employee fields, and departed employees are archived. All integrations support Single Sign-On, and training data can be exported back to the HRIS. For systems not on the list, the company points to its API for custom connections.

Administration and compliance. Training can be organized by departments, teams and business units, with role-based learning paths tied to job roles, career levels and skills. Compliance training gets automatic assignment, deadline reminders, certification tracking with renewals, and audit-ready reports.

Analytics. Reports cover completion rates, engagement (time spent, lectures viewed, questions answered), individual progress and certificate issuance, with drill-down by course, module, lecture or user and trends by day, week, month or year. Data can be exported for business intelligence tools. An ROI calculator on the corporate LMS page estimates savings from employee numbers, courses per year, hours per course, hourly rate and current LMS cost.

Learner experience. Gamification includes achievements, leaderboards and goals. The platform is cloud-based and responsive on phones and tablets, supports self-paced learning, and offers multi-language delivery with AI-powered translation of course content.

Plans, pricing and support

Workademy publishes its prices. The pricing section on the home page lists three plans:

  • Lite, 325€ a month: course builder, unlimited course creation, a personalized workspace (logo, colors and cover images), teams of up to 200 members and unlimited personalized support.
  • Basic, 800€ a month: the Lite features, teams of up to 750 members, and design of up to 2 custom landing pages as a one-time service.
  • Advanced, 1400€ a month: teams of up to 2000 members and up to 10 custom landing pages, each limited to 10 hours of work.

Billing runs over 3 months, 6 months or 1 year, and the FAQ says annual billing saves up to €1,200 a year. There is "special pricing for NGOs, small businesses, and subject matter experts starting from €100/month." The corporate LMS page quotes a starting figure of "From €300/month" for 200 users, and describes the model as "a flat monthly rate based on company size" with "No per-user fees." It says every plan includes unlimited courses, AI course creation, all HR integrations, analytics, SSO, mobile access, gamification and free migration assistance, with monthly or annual billing, no lock-in and the option to cancel, upgrade or downgrade at any time.

The FAQ offers a 30-day free trial with full access to every feature, and no credit card is required. Setup typically takes 1-2 weeks: account, branding and HR integration in the first days, first AI-built courses within the first week, and team rollout in week two. Migration from another LMS is included at no extra cost, covering export, cleanup, import, testing and training, and takes 1-2 weeks depending on content volume.

Support is included in every plan. The FAQ lists live onboarding sessions, 24/7 email and chat support, a knowledge base with video tutorials, regular check-ins, and a dedicated account manager on the Advanced plan. On security, the corporate LMS page states the platform is "GDPR Compliant & hosted in Europe (AWS)" and mentions EU data residency options, SSO and AES-256 encryption.

The company reports "200+ L&D Teams", "15K+ Courses Created", "500K+ Learners Trained" and a "4.8/5 Customer Rating" on its corporate LMS page.

Who it suits

Workademy fits a growing company with a small L&D team, perhaps one or two people, that has to produce onboarding, compliance and product courses faster than an agency can. The European HR integrations (Personio, HiBob, Deel and the rest), EU hosting and published flat prices make it a natural shortlist item for a European company of 50 to 2,000 staff that wants training to follow hiring and role changes without manual CSV uploads.

The company's own guide is frank about the limits. It says AI-built courses suit teams creating 3 or more courses a quarter, and that a company making 1-2 courses a year should simply hire an agency. It also says "AI isn't great for advanced engineering, medical procedures, or highly regulated content requiring deep expertise", and that companies of 10,000+ employees need different solutions. Every AI draft still needs a few hours of human review, so the time saving depends on someone having those hours.
