What Wisetail is

Wisetail is an LMS and operations platform for companies with large frontline workforces, made by Wisetail Learning & Operations in Bozeman, Montana. The home page calls it an Employee Enablement Platform that "brings learning, communication, and operations together in one secure technology". It is aimed at L&D and operations teams in restaurants, hospitality, retail, fitness, supermarkets and grocery, field services and nonprofits, and it also reaches beyond employees to customers, partners and members. The about page states the mission as turning companies into "communities of brand loyal employees, customers, partners and vendors", and says Wisetail views learning as the path to a stronger culture and a greater brand.

Wisetail describes itself as "an Intertek Company". Its about page introduces Intertek as its parent and says that for more than 130 years companies around the world have depended on Intertek to help ensure the quality and safety of their products, processes and systems. The news section also reports that Intertek acquired PlayerLync and welcomed it to its People Assurance team, and that Wisetail launched a new and enhanced product offering following that integration.

Learning and communications

The core is the learning system. Wisetail says it delivers customized onboarding and training experiences that engage learners, simplify communication and adapt to a team's goals. The about page describes the LMS as fostering "communities of sharing, blended learning at its best, nearly limitless content building and authoring, and learning insights that drive results", for everyone from frontline workers to sales and marketing, the C-suite, partners and customers.

Course building happens inside the platform. The membership page describes intuitive, built-in course authoring tools for professional-grade content with no coding required, and the platform menu lists an eLearning course library, AI features and professional services. On the home page, Wisetail says its built-in AI simplifies repetitive work and improves accessibility. Beyond courses, the feature set covers data, reporting and permissions, branding and design, content authoring and delivery, and communications, and Wisetail lists integrations and partnerships as part of the platform. The about page describes the result as an environment that is "totally yours and theirs" for administrators and learners, available anytime and anywhere.

Drive and OnTrack, the operations side

Two products extend Wisetail beyond training. Drive is mobile content management, described as "Frontline ready and mobile-first". It keeps standard operating procedures, videos, job aids and other reference material organized and accessible, and content updates sync in real time, so teams have the right information when and where they need it. OnTrack Checklists is a modern checklist tool built to manage the activities that keep operations running, which Wisetail says increases accountability and compliance. Together they let a restaurant or retail chain keep its training, its procedures and its daily task lists in one system. The home page frames the industry versions the same way: for restaurants, smoother day-to-day operations; for franchise and multi-brand groups, scaling while keeping guest experiences consistent; for employee training and onboarding, an efficient system that keeps it all on track.

Social learning and community

Community is Wisetail's most distinctive feature. Learners can upload photos, comment on posts and like them, and the platform supports events, community dialog boards and detailed user profiles. Tempur Sealy's use case describes user contributions and themed contests built on those social features. L&M Fleet Supply designed a sales challenge on its Wisetail LMS that pitted locations against one another, and the home page cites +80% average engagement in that sales challenge content, alongside a line from the company: "It's great to see the participation at all levels with this challenge, all using our LMS as a platform for success."

On the awards side, the about page reports that Wisetail's newly expanded Multi-Language management solution won Silver for Best Advancement in Learning Management Technology, calls Wisetail "a recognized leader in innovative learning management systems", and lists the 2025 Training Industry Top Training Companies List for learning management systems in its news.

Customer education and memberships

For customer education, Wisetail sells a B2C and membership version of the platform for building communities around a brand and its products. Organizations can drive revenue through subscriptions, premium-access content and limited offers, and Wisetail can pair a course with the customer's e-commerce tool of choice. Configurable reports show where members spend their time and what content they engage with, and feedback can be gathered in real time. The fully configurable design lets a brand create what the page calls "a digital brick and mortar" for its community.

Extended enterprise training is part of the same offer. Tempur Sealy partnered with Wisetail to give product training to external sales representatives and retail partners, and the page describes that community-oriented platform as a competitive advantage for the company. The solutions menu also lists customer training and enablement, sales enablement, franchise, remote worker enablement and talent development.

Results and clients

Wisetail publishes its figures under "Wisetail by the Numbers": 2.15M active learners, 40% faster time to productivity, a 67% reduction in onboarding time and 3.5M learner interactions per week. These are the company's own platform-wide numbers.

The client stories cover a wide range. The Denver Broncos use Wisetail PlayerLync to deliver practice and game film to players immediately after practice. Torchy's Tacos' L&D team curates content and delivers it straight to staff to raise adoption of its platform, Taco Dojo. Tempur Sealy and L&M Fleet Supply appear above.

Pricing and support

The pages show no prices; pricing is handled through a proposal request or a demo with a representative. Support resources include client support, a knowledge base, tech support, release notes, FAQs, a customer success section, Wisetail webinars and a blog. The company also runs Wisetail Works, a grant program for nonprofits that supports conservation organizations working on wildlife and habitat improvement.

Who it suits

Wisetail suits multi-location businesses with frontline staff, such as restaurant groups, franchises, retailers, fitness chains and grocers, that want onboarding, training, SOPs and shift checklists in one mobile-first system, and that value a social layer where employees post, comment and compete in challenges. Brands that sell to members or train dealers and retail partners can use the B2C and extended enterprise features on the same platform, and the Multi-Language management solution suits teams training in several languages.

Organizations that only need a plain course catalog with minimal administration may find more platform here than they need, since Wisetail's value lies in tying learning to daily operations and community.
