What it is
WisdomBase is a cloud e-learning and online exam system run by ShareWis Inc., whose address on the home page is in Osaka. The site is in Japanese and is built for organizations that run training, workshops and certification exams as a business or as a legal duty: certification bodies, associations, training companies, schools and large companies. The home page describes it as an integrated system for the organizations that run such programs, covering every step from applications and payment through delivery, exams and learner management to certificate issuance. The company's own blog describes WisdomBase as an LMS that is "試験に強い" (strong in exams).
According to the home page, more than 500 companies use it, more than 1.2 million users are registered, and more than 130,000 exams have been run on it. The home page also shows a 4.7-star review rating and a gold badge from ASPIC, registration on the Digital Agency's Digital Marketplace, and a listing in the Digital Agency's technology catalog for the digitization of courses and exams. WisdomBase is named as an eligible tool for Japan's Digitalization and AI Introduction Subsidy 2026.
What users get
The home page organizes the product around three steps: collect, deliver and brand.
Collect. An organization opens a recruitment page, takes applications and collects payment by credit card, convenience-store payment or bank transfer, all inside WisdomBase, and can sell courses from the same place. The point, as the home page puts it, is that nobody has to match application lists against payment records in separate tools. For certification exams, the exam fee is paid through the same flow.
Deliver. WisdomBase handles both video courses and full CBT (computer-based testing) exams. A company blog post on course platforms describes courses that combine video with text material, progress checks lesson by lesson, and automated tests and feedback. Exams can use question formats from multiple choice to written answers, with automatic scoring and pass or fail decisions, and certificates of completion or certification can be issued automatically to those who pass. For training where the law requires the named person to attend, the system records login history, viewing time and test logs, prevents fast-forwarding through videos, verifies identity, and issues attendance certificates automatically. Reminders go out when a learner stops partway through. The footer menu also lists AI exam proctoring.
Proctoring. For exams that need strict invigilation, WisdomBase combines with ProctorWis Connect, ShareWis's related service for webcam monitoring and identity verification, so that certification exams and legally mandated courses can run online.
Brand. Pass certificates and completion certificates take the organization's own design and wording, and the learner site carries its logo. The home page says ShareWis also works with customers on individual customization of pages such as exam results.
Administration. A blog post says content can be shown differently for each customer or each sales agency, which suits a provider that trains several client companies. Editing rights can be split by instructor where several teachers share a platform. Another post adds that WisdomBase can build exam and learning functions into an existing website or service, and that it covers internal training as well as paid courses and certification programs for outside learners. A separate page covers internal promotion and certification exams for companies. The company recommends it in particular to organizations that want to move in-person training and workshops online in a short time.
Use cases and customer results
The site groups its uses into four scenes: putting certification and qualification exams online, selling courses and training online, running legally required courses and continuing education, and internal company exams. Three case studies on the home page give concrete results.
- The Sapporo diabetes educator certification body (札幌糖尿病療養指導士認定機構) moved its certification exam online and reports cutting its operations staff by about half, with far less printing, venue setup and marking, and accounting tallied in real time.
- Tsuji Culinary Institute (辻調理師専門学校) moved the paper report assignments of its correspondence course online and reports that the work fell to a quarter of what it was.
- eWeLL, which trains home-visit nursing stations, chose WisdomBase for its video skip restriction and for certificates issued after a test, and reports that the time spent creating and sending attendance certificates fell to almost zero.
A news item adds a new case study from a vocational skills foundation published in September 2026.
Security, support and pricing
The home page states that ShareWis holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 certification and that the system runs on AWS in Japan. A news item from September 2026 announces the ISO/IEC 27017 cloud security certification, and the company has also published a second survey on cheating in online exams.
Support is hands-on. The home page says a dedicated staff member accompanies each customer from system design to the day of the first exam, and that ShareWis has a long record of integrating WisdomBase with customers' own systems and customizing it. The process runs in four stages: a hearing on the scale and format of the training or exam, a proposal with a plan and an estimated cost (including whether the subsidy applies), setup of the application pages, courses, exam environment and certificate design together with ShareWis, and launch with support on exam day. A phone line is open on weekdays from 10:00 to 19:00, and the site has a support site, webinars and downloadable product materials. ShareWis also publishes オンライン試験マガジン (Online Exam Magazine), a blog on IBT and exam operations; recent articles cover e-learning for manufacturing safety, quality and skills transfer, how to choose an exam system, and how to manage learners in separate groups by department, location or corporate client.
The home page quotes no prices; costs come in the proposal after the hearing. There is a demo screen to view before contacting sales.
Who it suits and who might look elsewhere
WisdomBase fits Japanese certification bodies, associations and training businesses that want one system for the whole cycle: taking applications and fees, teaching, examining, proctoring and issuing certificates under their own brand. It also suits organizations running legally required training, where proof of attendance matters, and companies that want to move internal promotion exams online. Training providers serving many client companies or agencies benefit from showing each one its own content.
The product, the site and the support are in Japanese, so an organization outside Japan or one that needs to run programs in other languages would be working against the grain. Solo creators selling a single course are not the audience either: the setup process, the dedicated support and the case studies all point at institutions.
